you are playing on a EU server that dosnt have WoW 3.3.5 you need to down grade to WIM 3.3.4 until EU get WoW 3.3.5

WIM 3.3.6 is incompatible with shift+clicking achievements. When I go to shift+click an achievement to link it to someone via whisper, it says "This achievement has already been completed" and does not link in the window.

Does anyone know a fix for this? (v3.3.6 is available on Curse atm.)

That comment may help me if I was playing on an EU server. I'm currently on Tichondrius-US which does have patch 3.3.5, which is the sole reason I upgraded — because the older version wouldn't work with 3.3.5 — but now the newest version is bugging out as well.

i dont think this is a WIM issue i think this is a battle.net issue.

I was able to send a achievement link by sending it to /say first THEN sending it to WIM.

You are correct about being able to link it from other channels (which is a viable temporary fix for me — thanks), but I still am not able to link them directly, and the same problem applies for linking quests.

The odd thing that I found is that when you shift+click directly on the achievements or quests while you have your WIM edit-box active, it acts as though there is no edit-box active and tracks the quest or achievement rather than linking it to the edit-box. However, this does not apply for linking items, as I can link items to the WIM edit-box directly via shift+click, which may have something to do with the fact that shift+clicking an item without an edit-box open has no effect.

I don't know anything about LUA or any type of add-on coding (so I couldn't begin to try and fix this myself), but it seems as though this is a problem with WIM not intercepting shift+click commands — thus turning them from tracking-activating commands into linking commands — as the edit-box used for the main chat frame does. This would make sense because shift+clicking an item does link it to the WIM edit-box as it has no other command to intercept.

This is just my evaluation of the problem. It seems logical to me, but I don't really know.

Locals:

as of 3.3.5 WIM doesn't do anything when you try to link items from Examiner. So if you are whispering someone and try to link the person you are examining items, it just doesn't link anything and puts a blank space in the wim chat.

as far as I know the last version of wim is borked too. I've been using chatter but its not the same.

It's gay as hell that you have to register on the WIM addon site just to report a faking bug, so I'm doing it here. I REFUSE to register for that. Makes no sense whatsover. Oh how irritating. K, so here's the bug I'm getting. I tried looking at the line of code, but being that I'm not familiar with Lua specifically, I couldn't identify the problem in the 30 seconds I looked at it :P
