BlkUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2.3B
by: Blacksad [More]

RESOLUTION: 1920X1080

A sleek looking, minimalist, all purpose Rogue UI.

Everything is set to track buffs/debuffs/procs/CD times in PvE and should require next to no setup.

Although this is set up to be Rogue specific, you can simply use any character class.

For PvP target defensive cooldowns are tracked via Weakauras, and personal CC abilities via icons above nameplates.

Let me know if you have any questions.

(Ctrl click Skada button to reset data)

Directions:

The person who downloads this has to unpack everything using an application which can unzip folders (Winzip, etc.), and then put all the folders in his / her World of Warcraft folder.

Copy your current WTF/Interface folders to your desktop to back them up before installing.

You then place the downloaded WTF/Interface folders into your Wow directory in their place.

When you download this, edit the folders to rename them from the generic "Account Name", "Server", "Character" to your actual accountname - the same goes for the server- and characternames. Do this first, before you even load up the game. Otherwise, the settings for everything will not take, and you may have to do it over to get everything working properly.

Upon entering game, make sure all addons are enabled! Make sure "Load out of date Addons" is checked!!!

Once loaded with all addons enabled, you will get a pop-up asking if you want to install BlkUI. Choose "Yes", and you should be pretty much good to go.

If any profiles for specific addons have issue loading, you may choose the Blk_UI profile for said addon.

You can then copy your bindings-cache.wtf and macros-cache.txt in from your backed up desktop folders, and keep your previous macros/keybindings.

Don't update Sharedmedia or Sharedmedia: Additional Fonts, as they it will overwrite the in-game font settings.

Addons Included:

Aurora, Bagnon, Bartender, Gnosis, Raven, Fonter, VuhDo, HideBossFrame, HideRaidFrame, Stuf Unit Frames, Reflux, SharedMedia, WeakAuras, Phanxchat, SexyMap, Skada, KgPanels, Tidyplates, Tiptac, DBM, HideBlizzardRaidFrame, Rogue Spam Reborn.
__________________________________________________________________________________________

Changed loader to work correctly. (Thanks to Real of RealUI!)

Added in the option to toggle most of the UI on/off at will.

Redid boss frames to look better and have a castbar.

Lots of odds and ends.

The only thing which looks out of place is the map, which you can fix by just loading the Blk_UI profile under sexymap.

Help

I really love this UI, but i am having problem with some things,
This is how mine looks, kinda looks out of place.

Also, the raid frames are kinda tucked in the edge of the screen, and i cant seem to move them, they overlap with the loot/trade windows and one more thing, Sometimes when i fight certain bosses, my a big white squares appeares that covers most of the screen. Usually happens when the boss or a mob is casting a spell.

Awesome UI , unfortunately i have 2 problems , first of all when i load it its kinda mess , some things are not the way they supposed to be like sexy map , the combo/energy bars , also when castin smthin or out of blue i had a big white square on 1/3 of my screen for couple sec.

I could sort most of theese things i guess but main issue for me is that i have custom UI's on other toons
and when i apply this one it also affects everythin else .. any way u can keep it only for 1 toon without
destroyin other toons ui ? Some help would be appreciated , cheers

Re: XP bar

Hello

At first i want to say you did great job with ui.

Im playin in laptop (1600x900) so it donw work for me at all but...

i wery like your weak auras setup (combopoints/antycipation and timer under it), im trying for an houd to extract only this from you UI but i cant.

Can u paste string from weakauras and what addons i need to work whole thing? becasue when i use only weak auras i see only green strip instead of combo points/anticitapion, and some thins from your WTF are changing few things what i like to keep intact.

And sometnig is turning off riad frames ( i even don't have that menu in interface menu)
ps. i wish i have bigger screen to you ui work to me also

Kill blow ui component

Could you please explain the part of the UI package that pops up the Killing Blow graphic on the screen.

Which addon does this?
How exactly does this work?

It's just a Weakaura which pulls from the Combat log when you get a killing blow. I imported the art and have 3 (I think) which trigger when this occurs.

If you want to disable them, you can simply /wa, find the ones which are labeled "Killing Blow", and go to Load, checking "never". If you want to change them, you'll just have to dig around and do so.

Cooldown timer

Hi there

Thanks so much for this UI. My first time using a compilation and so far I am very happy.
Just something that I just CANNOT figure out. Eveyrtime I use a cooldown e.g Killing Spree there is a timer bar that pops up and it is out of place. Which add on is this? I also just want to add that I am not talking about bar 9 of bartender.

Also, my resolution is also 1920x1080, but nothing was in place. Did everything according to instructions(as far as I know) Any advice?

Thanks!

Would you guys mind posting screenshots so I can figure out what the problem is? Thanks!

I'll look at this today and see if I can find out what the issues are.

There are a few issues that I would like to bring up. They ruined my experience with this interface.

1) The center bar where you can put skills stays the same while stealthed and not stealthed. I want this bar to act like the normal bar where I have one for non-stealth and one for stealth.

2) When you hover your mouse over somebody, the target information thingy on the bottom right interferes with the interface. There either needs to be an option to remove this completely or to move it. If you don't know what I mean by "target information thingy", I mean where it says the target's name, level, and type...i.e Illidan Level 70 Demon.

3) The action bar box that is toggled by that orange arrow in the DPS box needs to be able to be moved. It is interfering with the target information thingy I described in #2.

Other than that the interface is very clean and presentable.

The bottom bar is not to show your normal abilities, but to show cooldowns. The UI is meant to be played with action bars hidden. (Do you really need to see buttons which have no CD, like Sinister Strike/Mutilate, etc?)

The tooltip doesn't cover or get in the way of anything if you play with action bars hidden.

You can always /bartender and change or move the bars to any desired location you want. You may also /tiptac and change the tooltip location and look.
