Anytime you get errors with any of the oUF layouts, go download the oUF core from haste's git. I've solved oUF problems by doing that, its too hard to track for when its been updated.

i know, but the latest (more like the 5-6 latest) broke my layout and i hopefully fixed all of it, i have left to make the party/raid frames custom, they should atm just be blank. but i'll fix that later, just revamped it all to make it work again.

Sorry, my post was meant for nodq and the others that say they have errors.

I had an error with p3lim's last week, that fixed itself after I decided to just try downloading the oUF core from git. Sure enough, it had been updated and the error went away.

There's no easy way to tell when haste has updated the git, so I wanted to point that out to anyone using oUF layouts. They should download the core from the git if they get errors, before they waste time trying to figure it out, or post about errors.

I update oUF everytime there is a newer version. But there were still Errors.

Version 1.5.4 seems to work now without any Errors. Using latest oUF ofcourse.

FYI for folks in general:
http://ixo.no/git/oUF.git/ for age and summary of update infos, and then you can click "commit" and download the ouf-master.zip from the commit page if you wish. Be careful because sometimes the oUF core and layouts won't match until the layout authors update.

Personally I've walked away from oUF, and went with Pitbull. oUF is too much of a pain for me to keep updated and synched, and I'm not feeling frisky enough to write and maintain my own layout.

I had no plans on adding a pvp flag on the frames, but if you'd like to you can insert this
Code:
local pvp = hp:CreateFontString(nil, "OVERLAY")
pvp:SetTextColor(1,0,0)
pvp:SetFontObject(GameFontNormalSmall)
pvp:SetPoint("CENTER", hp, "TOP")
if (UnitIsPVPFreeForAll(unit)) then
    pvp:SetText("[FFA]")
elseif (UnitIsPVP(unit)) then
    pvp:SetText("[PvP]")
else
    pvp:SetText("")
end
self.PvP = pvp
It's taken from the oUF forum. Also, on the buffborders, i don't know, they work for me..

the border issue has been solved by grabbing newer/older or just another ouf version.

however i added another text namely class.
id like to see what class im targetting since the health bars dont have class coloring.
i added
Code:
local typ = UnitClassification(unit)
under
Code:
local updateLevel = function(self, unit, name)
and added or edited
Code:
self.Name:SetText(name.." |cffff0000"..lvl.." "..class)
but as you can figure it's in red and also can get reaaaally long for some npc's,
is there anyway to maybe class color it and/or avoid it showing class for npc's ?

Trouble with Preferences

I cannot find a way to change any preferences on this addon, or oUF in general. My fear is that there is no preferences file and I'm going to have to add code to the addon to change it. Honestly, I don't even know where to find that information, let alone change it.

Anyway, any help on changing the layout and colors of this addon would fantastic. So far, I really like it. I find that I'm better at using my combo points with this and DrDamage. My screen is much cleaner too. Thanks for the addon!

@Worcester: All oUF layouts and the core are all changed from the *.lua file with chosen text editor. Most of the code is self-explanationary like the "if - then - else" strings all over. To change some colors you can search for "|c" to find the colorcodes and if you wish to change the size of the frames, remember to change the height of the hp/pp bars aswell as it might look weird.

@Tiana: This layout does actually have classcoloring, but since npc's don't have classes it colors them by hostility. About the class, it works, but i'm to lazy to make a new function to make a new line. If you can settle with having a very long string at times. To fix the red class text, just redo the string to ;
Code:
self.Name:SetText(name.." |cffff0000"..lvl.."|r "..class)
