CTMod  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 10.2.5.1
by: DahkCeles, Cide

CTMod

CTMod is one of the longest-running collections of addons for World of Warcraft (since Vanilla), developed at first by Cide and TS who can boast that many of their innovative features were later incorporated into the actual game. Resike and Dahk (DDC) have supported these addons since 2014 and 2017 respectively.

CTMod customizes your interface to include hotbars, buff timers, statistics recording, and much more. This project commits to tailoring the existing Blizzard UI wherever possible, instead of completely replacing it like some other addons do.

Modules
CTMod is thirteen addons designed to work together -- you can disable undesired parts at the character selection screen.

  • Action Bars
    • CT_BarMod
    • CT_BottomBar
  • Raiding, Unit Frames and Buffs/Debuffs
    • CT_BuffMod
    • CT_RaidAssist (also called "CTRA")
    • CT_UnitFrames
    • CT_PartyBuffs
  • Mailbox, Map, and General Utility
    • CT_Core
    • CT_MailMod
    • CT_MapMod
    • CT_ExpenseHistory
    • CT_Timer
    • CT_Viewport

### CTMod 10.2.5.1 (2024-02-11)
- Disabling assist frame in Retail with CT_UnitFrames
- Fix to incoming heals in Retail with CT_RaidAssist
- Faster range check interval with CT_RaidAssist
- Cosmetic fix to the quest log in Classic with CT_Core

Global SavedVariables vs. Per-Character SavedVariables

UIBackup: http://ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=2699

I am the author of a new utility called UIBackup (brought to the community by ui.worldofwar.net). This utility allows users to perform full or partial backups/restorations of WoW addons, settings, and variables. One of the features my utility supports is the ability to make backups of per-character settings.

My goal with the creation of this feature was to allow people to save their settings for each character, and allow them to restore those same settings onto another character. Essentially allowing you to copy your customized user interface between characters.

I'm running into the problem where due to your choice of saving the per-character settings in a global savedvariables file...my utility has no method of exporting the settings to another character (as the global file would need edited, and the character names & settings changed appropriately). If you were to store this information into the /Realm/Character/SavedVariables folder(with no character name in the file) then that would allow the community to export their CTmod settings between characters.

I doubt you would be willing to change something that is part of the Core operation of your mod collection.. but if you were...imagine the possibility of being able to give someone a windows installer along with your mod collection...that installs not only your mod collection, but also installs all the customized CT_ViewPort, CT_BottomBar, etc settings that go along with it. This would allow you to set up your interface once, and then copy it to your other characters easily.

I really do hope you consider this(it would benefit everyone!) as you proceed with development. Being that your mod collection is one of the most popular out there, I hope you weigh the importance of ensuring your collection is kept up to date with new WoW technologies that appear.

Even if you choose not to make the change, I still love your mod collection and will almost certainly always use it.

Profiles?

Similar to the previous post, I was wondering if CT does support (or plans to support) profiles that can be loaded and saved for any if not all CT_ mods. If this already exists, please point me to it. If not, are there plans for it?

Re: Profiles?

I downloaded the mod but when I load everything up my bags are now horizontal instead of vertical where they used to be, any suggestions on how to change that where I don't have to go in there and move my bags where I want them?

You can left click the CT button on the mini-map and under player options click on CT Bag and the bags are now moveable. Move them to where you want them and click on CT Bag again and the bags are now non-moveable. easy as pie.

How to Remove Seconds on the Buff Timer Display

I really like the functionality of the CT buffmod, but I do not like the way it displays seconds underneath the icons (e.g., 15:20). Is there any way to have it show as the default Blizzard style with just minutes (e.g., 15m)? If not, does anyone know of another mod that will alert me when buffs are about to expire.

Thanks!

CT_MapMod

It looks like CT_MapMod places the information in the upper left (CT_CoordX, CT_CoordY, and CT_NumNotes) too low in the window, 'y' dimentionally speaking. They were well into the map area and text blizzard puts into the map about zooming out. Thanks!

Unhappy Button disappeared

Hi all! I love using CT_Mod, and was happy to see the updated version, but now I have a problem. No sooner did I get everything installed, and logged in then I hit the CT2 button, and somehow managed to banish it from my screen. I can't get it to reappear to save my life! Is there a command to re-enable it? I still have the RA button visible. Help?

CT_BuffMod

The original CT_Buffmod supported the default buff location at the very top and horizontal. Would it be possible to add an option to change buffs to align horizontal vs vertical. You have default vertical top-bottom and a bottom-top, but no left-right or right-left option.

ETA on BarMod / BottomBar?

Just wondering if anyone has an Idea when CTMod is going to release the updated "BarMod" and "BottomBar" for 2.0?
