Tincup-UI 4.0 Optimized for 1920x1200  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: Version 4.0
by: Tincup [More]

Tincup-UI 4.0

Ok this is the newest version of my UI. This is still a work in progress, but it is playable at the moment. I am still working on a healing layout and my raid frames. I will have them updated by the weekend.

To install:
Backup your current Interface folder and WTF folder.
Download and extract my UI to your main World of Warcraft folder.
Open the WTF folder and rename the Accountname, servername, and character folders with your information.
Start your game. Make your the load out of date addons is selected.
Login to the game and type "/reflux switch dps" in the chat window without the quotes.
This should fix 98% of any alignment issues, the chat frame may need to be manually moved.
To move the quest watch frame type /wf to unlock/lock the frame.

This UI is built for 1920 x 1200 resolution, to use with any other resolution will take some adjustments on your part.

If you have questions please feel free to ask, I will do my best to answer any questions you may have.

very nice

Quee,
This is a very nice UI. I like that you implemented carbonite right off the bat. And everything seems very inline.

How difficult would it be to modify the bars at the bottom and move the frames to match? I ask because I use a belkin n52te game pad and generally use 3 x 12 button bars stacked on each other to represent the keys on my game pad. Here is the layout im referring to.

I will be more than willing to try and make the changes myself if you point me to the right files to attempt to modify to make it all look as neat as you have it. I am very new to actually messing with the code myself :P.

It is a very sweet looking UI though, and will definately be giving it a try as soon as I figure out how to adjust the bars and panels and such.

I am off to work, but once I return I can do what you are asking. As far as doing it yourself, I say give it a try. That's how I got started doing all of this, by experimenting.

By changing the main bar you are pretty much redesigning the lower half of the layout because Unit frames, cast bars, stance bars, and tip will all have to be repositioned.

I will be home this afternoon, and I will upload a 3 bar layout.

r1p I uploaded a new version of QUI with the requested changes and it is going through the approval process. It should be available for download soon.
You can access the new layout by typing /reflux switch Q3bar
Like I said previously, changed the actionbar layout forced me to move the unit frames a bit. I hope the changes suit your needs.

Hmmm, trying to switch straight to the Q3bar version didn't work for me, had to go to the 16x10 one first. Very nice ui though, and for once one that didn't require extensive modification to get working nicely.

So after loading the 16x10, you could then load Q3bar?

I was able to go straight to the Q3bar version, not sure why it gave Arn issues =\. The only thing I had to go adjust was the bazooka spacing, for some reason it was overlapping a few of the info feeds. But all is good now =) thanks again for the added effort.

I do have one question, how would I change bar 5 on bartender to have the same texture as 1 and 4? for some reason it doesnt.

It is a Button Facade setting. Type /bf and hit Enter, this will bring up the Button Facade setting, click addons and select 5. The other bars are using Caith texture with 50% gloss.

Ok got one more I cant figure out. Once I set carbonite to the Quee character settings the quest watcher no longer lists the quests. Any idea on this one?

Once you apply the settings the quest tracker will be positioned in the top left portion of your screen. The quest tracker may be minimized when you initially make the switch. You will have to click the small arrow by the close button to see the list of quest. Please let me know if this helps

Something I was thinking about that you may want to look into is skada. It replaces Omen and Recount with an all in one mod. I will have to do some testing to see what the footprint difference is as far as memory, but if I am not mistaken it is slightly less with skada. The only thing I am not sure of is wether or not it has the ability that recount has to add the DPS to the broker bar. I will play with it once I get home and let you know what I find.

This is definately a wonderful UI though, hopefully we can keep you around in the scene for a while =).

I have performed various test and you are correct Skada would definitely be a more effiecient option. However, there are numerous discussions about the accuracy of each of the mentioned addons. The reason I sided with Recount and Omen is because it is widely used with my guilds and friends. I will do some more testing and see if it is a better choice.
