SanUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 7.3.5.1
by: Pyrates [More]

Find the most recent development version on github.

BREAKING NEWS: As of SanUI-7.3.0.0, I cannot include Tukui itself anymore due to a change of license terms. You will need to download and install Tukui yourself from here. Please do so before running SanUI for the first time.

This is an interface for the raiding druid, integrating all specs. Works for other classes, though a bit more configuration is neccessary (I'll help). It supposedly only works if your monitors resolution is at least 1280 x 1024 by virtue of Tukui. Suggestions and criticism welcome

After your first login

  • The installation procedure of Tukui will start. Just klick "Ok" (or whatever's there for you) 4 times and let it reload your UI.
  • After that, you're asked if you want to import the WeakAuras of SanUI. It's save to say yes here. A reload will follow.
  • Type "/tukui move" to move different aspects of the UI.
  • Configuration of Tukui (particularly the UI-Scale) can be done via typing "/tukui config"
  • Besides the minimap is a box with an 'a'. Click it, a menu will appear. You can switch Modes there. Access to different addon configurations can be configured in SanUI/profiles.lua.

More on Usage
  • SimpleAuraFilter let's you reclaim your buff area by filtering. Simply shift-rightclick any buff you don't want to see anymore. It will be cancelled in this process, but never again show up, even if you have it. Note that there different profiles for Healer, Chicken, Bear and Cat mode, which have to be configured separately (just activate the right mode and go nuts shift-rightclicking).
  • Click stuff. There are a lot of menus, go find them (special hint: middle and right mouseclick on the minimap).

Configuration

About Config\profiles.lua: Its purpose is to support user-made modes. A mode is a state of the UI consisting of several profiles for different addons or parts of the UI. It's commented well, so read there (and I'll help via forums). Important: If you're not a druid, you probably want to edit this. If you need help, let me know though the forum.

FAQ
  • Q: Nothing works. What could be happening?
  • --> A: You'll need to download and install Tukui yourself.
  • Q: Is this a complete interface for a raider?
  • --> A: Probably not. You might at least want a boss mod, clique, and bugsack/buggrabber. Maybe a Damage Meter (I use Details).
  • Q: You've skinned CoolLine. Will there be problems with AddOnSkins Tukui?
  • --> A: No. I did test, and nothing bad happens. You might want to disable the CoolLine and Skada skins of AddOnSkins Tukui, otherwise those will be skinned twice. That's not a real problem though, so if you like it that way, keep them enabled.
  • Q: I updated, but where are the new WeakAuras displays the changelog mentions?
  • --> A: You need to type "/tukui addweakauras" (no quotation marks) ingame to import the new ones.

He awesome I'm still keeping this up-to-date for my own usage, but I just can't allocate the time needed to prepare a release _before_ a patch hits.

Thank you SO MUCH for your quick reply and the amazing solution. I absolutely don't mind to dig into .lua, I'm just a beginner and was afraid to break the whole thing. Your code works perfect, no problems and exactly what I was thinking of. Can not thank you enough! :-)

Hey, nice you like it I don't want to implement that hiding thing in general, but I can tell you how to get it by yourself, as long as you're ok editing a file by yourself. If that proves a problem, let me know, we'll find a way.

Open SanUI\Modules\Modeswitch\powerbar.lua (use notepad if you don't know what to use), and then BEFORE the last line (that is, after line 93), add the following lines:
Lua Code:
  1. local registered = false
  2. local hideOoc = (profile == "SanCat" or profile == "SanChicken")
  3. if not registered then
  4.     Power:RegisterEvent("PLAYER_REGEN_ENABLED")
  5.     Power:RegisterEvent("PLAYER_REGEN_DISABLED")
  6.     Power:SetScript("OnEvent", function(elf,event,arg)
  7.         if event == "PLAYER_REGEN_ENABLED" and hideOoc then
  8.             Power:Hide()
  9.         else
  10.             Power:Show()
  11.         end
  12.     end)
  13.     Power:Hide()
  14.     registered = true
  15. end

This implements what you want for the profiles SanChicken and SanCat. If you're using other profiles, you can probably see how to modify it, or just let me know.

Let me know how it works for you, I tested it and it seemed ok.

Ok, let's sort this a bit. Most of the problem in your last screenie are because you did not disable the Tukui unitframes. I can'd do it for you since I cannot include Tukui anymore. Type "/tukui config" and disable those options .

Jumping to your first screenshot: I have no idea what that is and where it is from. Sorry.

Second screenshot: That on the right is the boss frame. You can move it by editing your mode. Are you using "SanBear"? If so, open SanUI/Config/profiles.lua, and on line 121 replace "SanChicken" by "SanHeal". It's up on the top afterwards. On the left, that's the raidframes. To disable it when solo, open SanUI/Modules/Unitframes/raidframes.lua and on line 1093 change "true" to "false", and do the same on line 1114.
thx m8 got fixed the most issuses with the ui scale :O

the but the inventory sucks anyway gotta figure out what it could be

Hard to be sure without a more exact description, but my guess is that those are Weak Auras displays. Configure them by typing "/wa" and hit enter. If you don't want any of the displays from Weak Auras, You can also just not load the addon, I think.
ok thank you!!!

In Modules\Unitframes\raidframes.lua, lines 1090 and 1111 read

Lua Code:
  1. "showSolo", true,

Change them to

Lua Code:
  1. "showSolo", false,

Remeber to reload your UI
