I didn't use the multiple selection with the categories, but I liked being able to seperate out a certain category (armor/weapons, junk, etc).

I think showing multiple categories showing at the same time could lead to trouble (think it's all junk and sell everything... oops, had armor selected too).

EDIT: I stand corrected. After some experimentation, I realized I could just do text searches to find item categories. Not sure if this was a feature before, but I like it.

It possible to search for items based on quality, to cut down on time spent at the vendor? That'd be extremely handy.

I think showing categories in tabs would be fine. Mainly it's just nice to be able to see the category or search result separate from all the other stuff. I use search all the time.

Tricky question - I typically keep one category open alongside with the full inventory at all time. (This is my junk category - grey items and anything this toon can't use.) This gives me a good idea of how soon I should start looking for a mailbox/vendor.

Beyond this one category, I mostly use the remaining as search tools, to quickly (and visually!) identify quest items, pots etc. I will on occasion pull out a category and leave it around as a separate tab, but this is fairly rare.

If you could have one category + full inventory open simultaneously, this would be sufficient for me 99% of the time.

How complex do filters need to be? Is the text search in the most recent version now sufficient?

I've used a couple other bag addons, but not been very happy with them. Jumped on the original Bagnon, since it did all I thought I wanted from a bag addon. (And I've grown to appreciate the style of the Tuller mods - I use all of them.)

The came vBagnon, and I realized I'd been missing something all along. Most toons only have one or two custom categories, but I also use the default ones - most notably the "quest" one.

I use Mr Plow for physically sorting my bags, but this does not provide the same functionality as having a separate frame with just the quest items.

With categories missing, I've decided to hold off on installing the new Bagnon, at least until I get bitten by a vBagnon bug or WoW update that breaks the current version.

I've used vBagnon when "Before the Storm" went live; at first because I was looking for a MyBags replacement compatible with the patch but since then I've found the Category feature a useful addition.

All of my inventory and bank slots contain at least 18 slot bags, and it's quite hard to pick out items when I wanted to interact with them-vBagnon's Category feature to the rescue. I often pull out Tradeskill, Quest and Consumable "metabags"-as when I mail items to alts, prep them for use, or need to monitor how many more of a reagent I need.

With vBagnon reverting to its original functionality, I'm actually holding off "updating" to Bagnon until the Category feature makes it back in a new incarnation-say as a feature that can be turned off via Options or as a load-on-demand AddOn to Bagnon.

First off I have realy enjoyed this bag mod. I have used a few others but this one has been the best so far IMO.

As far as the sorting goes, I don't use it on any of my active char's as I generaly keep my bag clean and sorted but it is a very big help when logging into the guild bank char. I actualy would like to recommend a bit more of a breakdown in the sorting, mainly weapons and armor. Instead of the main category, possibly sorting in types (2H weapons, 1H weapons, Leather Armor, Mail Armor).

I would definately suggest possibly making it an alternative mod though. This would avoid the one mod from getting too intricate for some people. You could also add an option for loading the mod for only certain char's.

Thanks for the great mod and keep up the great work guys.

Cool Livin' la vida bagnon

I just gotta say, thanks for the update

The mod seems much more responsive when opening bags and bank. I like the new mouseover info on items too, where it tells you how many are in each persons inv/bank. I know it was there in previous versions but it didnt seem to work right all the time until now.

I also like that you fixed the ability to see other characters banks & inv! I really missed that

And, since you asked, I never used categories. They just clutter up the window even more than necessary. I keep my bags manually sorted and everything has a place. I have like 10 chars and have never *wanted* categories on any of them. Removing cats has had no impact on me, but judging from the other users, you might want to think about "officially" endorsing a separate category or sorting mod. Or put categories back in if you want...just remember to include the delete button again =)

Thanks again for all your quality work.

Categories were invaluable for immediately being able to single out quest items, vendor loot, etc. Frankly, I'm not sure how anyone wouldn't use that feature. Bring it on back (with the category buttons - not the search box).

Thumbs up Category Remarks and A Suggestion

Finally have a release out

1.0 is a complete rewrite. Delete all Bagnon and vBagnon folders before installing. This release also does not have category support, due to a lack of use on my part. I ask those of you who needed the categories to please tell me how you were using them, but to also try other inventory mods, like TBag, Baggins, ArkInventory, and Advanced Bags, to see if those work well for you.
With vBagnon, I like the categories, but I'm not a big fan of the mousing over and seeing the highlight/dim of other items. Just clicking one category and getting a row for that category is what makes sense to me.

Perhaps just a dropdown to select a category? Not that real estate is a problem. It really makes it easy to clean out your bags (bag?) by highlighting "trash" and sell it off quickly.

The only suggestion for improvements that I've come up with lately, is making sections that you can name and partition off items. Like, if you carry more than one set of armor, you could set a number of cells apart, call it (well, whatever you like) "FR Gear".. etc.

Great work on the mods, thanks for all the hard work.

I started using vBagnon (and included it in my UI) because it had category support while still being a simple all-in-one bag addon. It was my first all-in-one, and I loved how I could drag out separate windows of items in categories without having them separated ALL the time. I used it in conjunction with the PT sorting plug-in to add further refined categories.

I enjoyed that it was a simple all-in-one where I could place things wherever I wanted, but still be able to see what I had in a category when I wanted to.

I've been playing with ArkInventory the past week or two and am starting to get accustomed to to permanant divisions.... But I lose things that I pick up in those categories all the time. Just today I found that I had a greater mana pot sitting in my consumables section. Yesterday I ended up with a stack of quest items in my quest category for some quest I don't even have or know where to get.
