This is a minor modification to the flagRSP BC codebase. It alters the colour computation based upon reaction and level for better visibility and closer similarity to established Blizzard difficulty colors. It also colors the target level text. I did these modifications because I wasn't satisfied with how flagRSP BC did it. They aren't major, but I think that they are effective and efficient.
As I am not a dedicated addon coder, I hope that some of what I've done will make it into the flagRSP source. In the patch-docs subdirectory, you will find full HTML and TXT difference information between this version and the 0.5.8 release.
UPDATE 2:
- I've cleaned up my code some more, including level calculations, and in the process streamlined some of the functionality (colored levels, for instance, now colors the targetframe number).
- I altered the "relative levels" tooltip function to keep displaying the Race and Class of the target if it's a player. Ex: "Very Strong Blood Elf Warlock". "Equal" has also been changed to "Comparable" since I tihnk it looks better with some of the changes below.
- I'm of the opinion that the "Experience: " string is unnecessary. Seeing a bright red "Hopelessly Superior" should be enough. For now, I've simply disabled it through the existing localization file (changing the value from "Experience: " to ""). All the corresponding code remains, so if you don't like it it's very simple to put back in. I still think there's got to be something that looks better than the standard "Experience: " line.
- I fixed a color computation error on boss level monsters, and altered the "elite" and "boss" notification to display as bracketed items after the name. Ex: Sylvanas's tooltip claims "Hopelessly Superior (Boss)"
Finally, the download now ONLY includes the three files I've modified (flagRSP.lua, localization.lua, tooltipHandler.lua) along with html & txt diff files that are MUCH easier to understand than the ones I released with my last patch.
I know there may be more updates. I'll keep releasing them in as useful a form as possible to those of you who want to see the flagRSP BC addon become the best it can be.
Enjoy!
