Boda UI - Discontinued.  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 4.2
by: Bodasafa [More]

Great news everyone! I plan on returning to the game in WoD and releasing this UI publicly again! Stay tuned!

Announcements
• Version 4.2 is now Live! Changes include a master font for the entire game to complete the look and a few minor tweaks. Also a new DBM skin for the bars. To download that by itself check out my Boda UI - DBM Skin.

• The resolution for this UI is 1920x1080 and will only be released for that resolution. If you wish to use this UI for a different resolution you will have to unlock and move the addons yourself. The time it takes to do this depends on your working knowledge of addons in general. Though with the new centered layout, most anyone should have to move is the stuff in the top right corner. I also recommend reading the "Different Resolutions" section of my Guide linked in the "Help and Support" section below.

• This UI is specifically designed for a Warrior Tank in Raiding situations. However many users of different Classes and Specs have been able to modify it so suit their needs. Since moving to Raven (which controls all buffs and debuffs) it should automatically show your specific debuffs on your target and your specific active cooldowns. You should only need to Blacklist the things you do not want shown.

• I do not use a player portrait. Icehud displays my health and rage so a duplicate of that is wasted screen space. You should keybind “Target Self” to a key. When you press this key you will see “You” in the Target frame. You then right click this frame to get all the options you would via a normal player portrait.

Installation
• Backup and then delete your WTF and Interface Folders.
• Download the UI and put the new WTF and Interface Folders in.
• Rename the appropriate folders with YOUR information.
• Your Account Name
• Your Server Name
• Your Character Name
• For a more detailed explanation on how to install a User Interface refer to my guide linked in the “Help and Support” section below.

In Game Set Up
• Login and stop at the character selection screen.
• Click the Addons button in the lower left corner and enable all addons.
• Once inside the game type the following slash commands and select the BodaUI profile for each.
/buttonfacade
/bt
/chatter
/chinchilla
/icehud
/kgpanels config
/msbt
/mbf
/omen
/pitbull
/raven
/recount
/sldatatext
/suf
/tidyplates (and expand the threat plates selection)
• Once all profiles are set reload your UI. Some addons will not appear set such as Chinchilla until you do this.
• Log out to save the profiles.
• Check for updates to all addons. Once all addons have been updated, log in, change your keybindings/macros and your done!
• Every time you update DBM you need to re-skin, its very easy. For instructions check out Boda UI - DBM Skin.

Special Thanks Goes Out To
• Wowinterface.com for hosting my UI.
• Tankspot.com for hosting my discussion thread.
• The AddOn authors that created the mods used in this UI.
• The users who have made this UI popular. I appreciate all the kind words I have received here and in my tankspot.com thread.

Or if there are and I just didn't see it.
There are.

Taken from the top of my download page:

• My intentions were to create a universal UI, unfortunately my needs require it to be designed for a Warrior Tank, therefore it will work best in that class/role “out of the box”. However many users have reported that with average AddOn configuration skills my UI is easily changed to fit the needs of a different class/role. The main change is how SBF is set up. Follow the link for SBF in the Addons section below to learn how.
Just left of the main action bar box are My personal Debuffs I apply to the target. I have them set up to show Rend, TC, Sunder, ect.

Read the SBF link to lean how to set it up for your class/role. If you take the time to read the information it will show you. I'm not going to give step by step instructions on how to do when there is already information available showing people how to.

No its not going to say for a "Hunter" do this. But it will tell you how to white list spells so they show up in that frame. Spells that only your class cares about.

Same goes for the Proc's and CD's frame.

Re: Re: Cast bars/cooldown timer

Sweet thanks, definitely gonna try this add-on out then, I could probably get omni cc and something like doom pulse as well to make the cooldown more obvious. Looks like a great setup can't wait to try it.

Re: Re: Re: Cast bars/cooldown timer

Got it up and working except for one thing - Recount isn't showing up in that box at the bottom also, the add-on you have with all the people's names in it, assuming that is grid? And if so how would I configure it to show as well?

You have to set the profile for recount. Also it only shows while in a raid or party once people start doing damage.

The raid frames "addon with all the peoples names in it" is pitbull, as noted in the explanation screen shot on my download page.

You have to set the profile for pitbull and then join a raid for it to show up. You can also type /pitbull to pull up the config window and in the top left corner under "config mode" you can select 25 man raid from the drop down menu and it will show up so you can move it if needed.

Ah okay, I hadn't been in a raid yet with the add-on, well thanks, I will play around with this add-on a bit more now.

Thats not coming from Chatter, unless you messed with the options beyond setting my profile from it. It has a different font which clued me into it not being part of Chatter.

I can only conclude you have an option turned on somewhere from a different addon putting that "creates a majestic" in the box.

Re: Re: Problem with my chat window

Bodasafa, you could cut out all the lengthy profile loading by using Reflux.

I had considered that. Really the big problem is people not moving the folders in the right spot and renaming them properly. There's no addon to make that any simpler than it already is.

There are 12 slash commands to type and load profiles. Really I want to force people to look at the download page of these addons to find that command and then set it them selves. It helps them trouble shoot any issues they have or any changes they want to make.

Really Ive done a ton of work creating and maintaining this UI for public download, asking people who want to use it to do a little work hardly seems outta line.

It looks like you have another window behind the main one. This has happened to me as well, the combat log for some reason detached itself and it and the main chat window overlapped.

Hover over your chat window and you will see 2 tabs in the top left corner. 1 is the chat, 2 is the combat log. Right click each one and select the color picker box. Pull the slider on the right side to the bottom, this makes the window(s) transparent, the way its supposed to look.

If your resolution is not the supported one listed on my download page (23" monitor) then you will have to manually move all the panels and resize them to fit your screen, then unlock and resize the addons that go in them.

If they are off your screen you can type /kgpanels config to open the options and select the panels off the screen and adjust their position from the options window, by adjusting the Y and X numbers.

I'm sorry there's no way around it. I just don't want to spend the time making my UI for all the different resolutions. Which is why I say my UI will only be released for the supported resolution.
