ColdUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 6.0.3
by: Coldkil [More]

As everyone has realized now, i have stopped working on the UI basically because i have stopped playing WoW altogether.

I feel sorry to not have written here before, there is a lot of people that has shown a lot of support on my work and i didn't thank you enough for that.

I had a lot of fun playing with the UI and following your feedback to improve my work.

I hope that something in the future (maybe another game) will let me do another work similar to this, as it's been by far my best WoW experience during my play time.

See you on next journey and projects.

All-in-one UI pack, working for every resolution, just try it and keep it if you like it! Mess with the code, but i don't support any edit.

Features:
- healer layout available: just set the option to true and /reload ui
- you can enable/disable pretty much any plugin
- extended focus frame available, with portrait and castbar
- datatext can be enabled/disabled too, and background panel can be toggled on/off
- change textures/fonts as you please
- you can setup your personal layout, and if you mess with thing, reset everything

SLASH COMMANDS:
/ch will make appear the help - everything is there
/align brings out a grid, very useful to move things around

Other options can be found in the relative addon config.lua file (or in game if it's provided).

AURORA:
i use an edited version of this addon to match all the Blizzard frames with the ones i designed. In game you should disable all options but the map reskin and the "replace normal game fonts" one.

ACTIONBARS:
just open config.lua in ColdBars addon, it's everything there. There are the same options as before plus some additional functionalities like vertical bars and the possibility to costantly hide pet/stance bar.
Button skin is embedded into the bars addon.
NOW PLUS MOUSEOVER!

About screenshots: they may show MSBT and an aura tracker addon, they aren't included in the package. Sorry, i still havent updated them, hope to do it asap.

CREDITS:
All credits go to respective addon authors.
Thanks to haste, for creating oUF.
Thanks to Caellian, since i've learned destroying you awesome layout.
Thanks to Tukz, i've taken some features from your incredible work.
Thanks to WoWInterface, MMO-Champion and WoWHead for their communities which have helped me a lot.
Bags are a stripped down and reduced to the bone version of Stuffing.
Cooldowns are a "same of above" version of OmniCC.
Runebar is a "same of above" edit if nibRunes.

HOW TO INSTALL:
- Make a backup of your Interface and WTF folders, then move/delete them from WoW directory.
- Unzip the archive.
- Put the folders in the ZIP archive into you Interface/Addons folder.
That's it!

ADDONS LIST:
- alDamageMeter

- oUF_Coldkil
- cError

Meanwhile can you post a copy of the lua error? Never had the issue, but probably it's something wrong in the code (i changed some references last release, so probably i didn't change accordingly the ones of the BNet bubble).

Got it, just misspelled a method, going to fix it soon (and release it again with some other minor tweaks).

Fun enough that i don't get the error, but also i don't get the BNet frame lol (tested today).

EDIT: fixed, working good. i had it disabled that's why i didn't noticed.

Anyway expec 1.2 next days, i'm kinda done with the missing frames and with druids.

Updated with new frames, it should have pretty much everything.

the only thing i'm not entirely sure are the spawn functions of arena/boss frames (didn't test them extensively).

Please post any lua error you should encounter on any visual glitch/bug.

No, but it's just DBM with standard options.

If i'll reskin it, i'll include in the UI in the future.

EDIT: if you talk about the boss frames, yes they are included.

I use it on my affli lock, and i'm leveling a shadow priest, so i think it's usable

If you feel that something isn't good, feel free to post it here. Anyway, being mine a minimalistic approach, sometimes it's just better to use and additional addon for specific purposes.

More bars can be added freely, just edit the config.lua of rActionbarStyler.

More details: i just edited bars 1-3 to have 8 buttons instead of 12, and locked them in place.
You can still re-activate the other ones and unlock them all, so through in game commands (/rabs) you can move them around. You can also resize them, again via .lua file.

If you like a better addon, you can just use dominos/bartender and not rActionBarStyler. Skins and everything should be still working.

Nice suggestion about the focus unit frame. I'll make it a double version for 2.0 (minimal - like it is now - and extended - bigger frame, with cb and buffs/debuffs).

Nice UI Coldkil, if i want to make Bar 1 and 2 to have 12 buttons each instead of 8 where do i go for this?

Im also trying to set up a keybinding for the extra bar you have under the main line of bars but i cannot seem to find the area to do so.

Atm, Raid frames are "as it is", using Grid over them is not a problem. just go into the core.lua file and comment the last part (the one about raid, just add -- before any line).

As for keybinds, the addon is just a reskin of blizzard bars. Type /rabs for command options or you can just ditch it and use dominos/bartender

EDIT: a little spoiler about 2.0: since i'm going to make every frame movable, probably unitframes (especially player/target) will have a huge restyle (read: i need to redo them). This is mostly due to the fact healer and dps/tanks have very different needs and things to focus on, so there is the necessity to come up with a unified style that will be good enough for both roles.

Id still like to extend Bar 1 and 2 to have 12 buttons instead of the 8 you have em set to .. i looked through all the config files and couldnt find anything.

It's the addon i use. Anyway...Good News, Everyone!

Still using rActionBarStyler, but finally i managed to:
- keep all the user commands: bars are toggled via standard in-game options, keybinding works the same way. So you can add up to 5 bars with 12 buttons each;
- added a funcionality that let's you choose how many buttons you want per bar! Range goes from 1 to 12 and every bar is independant;
- restored original "userplaced" attribute: now you can unlock the bars and just drag them around the screen via in-game commands (/rabs unlock or lock)

Bars 4 and 5 atm are on the right side, positioned vertically. Working on a system that lets you choose between horizontal and vertical bars.

Hope you like these news!
