Important note: this addon is outdated and on hold
I always planned to keep this updated, but a lot of other projects keep me busy. I might pick this up in the future but I currently have no ETA for it.
GridLogged is a simple tabular combatlog that can be easily filtered.
It is heavily inspired by SW Stats Unilog but completely written by myself.
Credits go to the authors of SW Stats for the great idea.
This Mod also works with the current WotLk Beta
Why use it?
Here's an example:
Just before you're engaging a boss in a raid click "Start" to start recording
events (or use the new autostart option). Want to know why your tank died so quickly?
Just open GridLogged, type the name of your tank in the "Dst" filterbox and you can see everything that happend to your tank.
Maybe healer X didn't heal the tank? To check just type the name of healer X in the "Src" filterbox and you can see everything healer X did during the fight.
Currently GridLogged is kept very simple and still BETA.
No data is saved between sessions and there are no ingame settings.
Most of the events should be displayed correctly, some might still be missing.
I'll look into it during the next few days.
The slash commands to open GridLogged are
/gl
/gridlogged
The default state is "Stopped" so to start recording combat messages you have
to press the "Start" button or use the "AutoStartOnEnterCombat"-Option in the "Settings.lua" file
Be careful. ALL combat messages around you are recorded. Limiting recording to
only your party or raid is planned but not implemented yet.
You should reset all data if you don't need the data anymore. 10000 Messages
will need around 8 megabyte of memory.
No data is saved between sessions and there are no ingame settings.
If you want to change the font size or the scale of the window you have to edit
the file "Settings.lua".
If you want to change the columns, have a look at the "Columns.lua" file.
You can filter the combat messages by typing in an filter expression at the top
of the column you want to filter. It has to be a regular expression.
It doesn't matter if you don't know what that means. If you type in simple words
like player names or spell names you should be fine too.
Note, that this addon is still Beta.
Since it only displays data and doesn't perform any actions it should be pretty
safe using it. Even if its beta, errors probably wont break anything.
Planned features
- option to limit recording to party/raid events
- warning if too much data is collected
- improve memory usage and performance
- more settings to change appearance
- display overheal
- cleanup code
Suggestions and bugreports are always welcome. I have limited time so please
be patient. I will do my best to answer all requests.
Also english is not my native language
