FuBar - SkillsPlusFu v4.1.3
Release Date: 2011.05.03

This add-on combines the functionality of avngr's FuBar_ProfessionsFu, Kemayo's FuBar_KungFu, and smuggles FubarTradeCooldownFu. This add-on is uploaded with their approval. I decided to merge the the first two because they seemed to have a rather large overlap, although both had bits that were unique and very useful (or just plain good looking). I have tried to keep the best of both. Next I wanted to get rid of another add-on on my bar and added the Trade Cooldown functionality. It took me a while to get the salt shaker support correct, as I'm still figuring out the event flow.

On popular demand, I added the option to show the skills for your other toons.

SkillsPlusFu is currently localised only for English, but should be easy to expand to cover other languages. However, by using BabbleLib it should at least properly for those languages supported by that library.

Use
The FuBar menu will display either Skills or the name of a skill that can be used to make things (so, say, Mining doesn't show, but Smelting does). Behind the skill (name and/or icon depending on your preferences) the number of cooldown items is displayed. This display show (total item - items ready) This will not be shown when you have no cooldown items for any of the toons you play.

By selecting the (right-click) menu you see all skills that you can use to make things with for your current toon. Selecting one of these skills will open the relevant skill window and put it's name/icon up in the FuBar. Clicking this later will open the associated skill window again. The last used skill is saved between sessions.

Options
Show skill label - Toggles the display of the skill name (or the text skills) on the FuBar. Use this when you want to show only the icon and the cooldown info.
Show boolean skills - Toggles skills that do not progress, this includes proficiencies.
Show other player skills - Allows you to select which other toons and skills are shown.
Show cross faction skills - Toggles whether the skills mentioned above include those of other faction toons.

Show player names - Toggles display of the player names in the cooldown info
Show cooldown notification - Toggles displaying the cooldown info on the FuBar
Clear current cooldown data - Clears the current cooldown database.
Hide cooldown data for - Allows you to hide a specific cooldown

Complete changelog

Acknowledgements
This add-on is based on avngr's FuBar_ProfessionsFu, Kemayo's FuBar_KungFu, and smuggles FubarTradeCooldownFu. Thanks guys!

I'd like to add a special thank you to avngr who put me on this path by pointing out to me how easy it was to expand FuBar_PetInfo to my wishes.

Furthermore I'd like to thank all of you who helped me by logging bugs and offering suggestions. Thanks!

Exclamation RE: Leather Skill showing and Cooldowns

Hi,

I have the same problem with leather and also cooldowns have never worked for me :-(. What I have done is downloaded Tradecooldown from curse http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/wow/a...ecooldown.html as that version actaully works and the one from Wowinterface doesn't work properly. I don't know why this has been occuring but I am now going to use tradecooldown fu version until cooldowns work again .

With the leather I just keep using the fishing symbol lol.

Hope this all gets corrected when it get becomes a FuBar2/Ace2 version.

Anyway love the addon and concept so keep up the great work.

As you may have seen this has been asked before.

As far as I can tell tcgTradeskills does two things SkillsPlus does not do.
1) it shows all skills as miniature buttons in the FuBar.
2) it shows the skills for all your other toons.

I've been thinking about this and am curious about which of those two has the biggest need. Or is it actually both.

I'm not sure whether I can implement part one (I'd need to figure that out, one way or another), nor am I sure that's really necessary as the menu give access to those skills and you can easily reselect the previous one.

As for part two, this is likely to make a very long list, especially when you play several toons. On the other hand, the number of skills listed should probably be no more than four (fishing being not really necessary IMO). I'm willing to give this a shot, but, I really need to see how it works out before actually releasing it.

Last but not least, judging from the request to keep a version with only the skills part (not the cooldown timers) I expect some people not wanting to add even more. This would probably be best solved by maintaining 3 versions, a light, regular and over-sized.

Hi And
It turned out Leatheworking was there, but managed to disguise itself as Fishing. Apologies.

Hmmm....difficult, as one of the reason for me to write this was to get rid of clutter on my Fubar. I'll be uploading the expanded version this weekend, you may want to give it a try and see if it's actually bloating the add-on. I think I managed to add cooldown functionality in a tidy way, so as not to cause too much extra (although there will be some memory footprint increase, as it needs a bit more code and local string variables).

If you really feel bad about that version I'll see if I can upload and maintain this version as a SkillsPlusFu - Light.

Thanks fo rthe explanation though.
Yeah, RecipeBook does something a lot like that, adding some lines to recipe tooltips so I can see which of my alts know it and which ones can learn it now/later with their current level listed and whether I have it stored in the bank or not. So as I said, I don't use tcgtradeskills as a way of knowing whether my alts can learn recipes. I just like having a quick reference to see what my alts' profession levels are.

Kind of off-topic, but I believe the mod name for that is Recipe Book. Of course, being an addon crack-addict, I have both Recipe Book and Recipe Radar.

On-topic, I like the look of this mod Jayhawk, and I can't wait to try it out later. Already downloaded and installed, just need time to play

Like if I have a ton of silk cloth on one alt, and want to know if one of my other alts is around the right first aid level to be using silk bandages (it's hard to remember when you have 6 or 7 alts who are all at different levels).

If you were to add the little icons to this mod, I fear the functionality would be wasted since I'd still be using tcgtradeskills for those buttons anyway.

Funny thing, Jayhawk. I like your mod, it does a great job combining KungFu and ProfessionsFu. With one exception - I am your polar opposite in that I use only icons on my FuBar. So, I ended up going back to KungFu and ProfessionsFu after trying SkillsPlusFu because I had no option to display only an icon. Different strokes for different folks, huh?
That's a shame. I'll see if I can add at least a single icon.
