ThinkTankUI [Remastered]  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.1
by: Bmw309894 [More]

Here is a link to my Discord

Here is a New Install Video for 3.1+ (recommended)

Intro
---------

ThinkTankUI: [Remastered] is a graphical addon compilation for World of Warcraft. The UI focuses on providing the user with real time buff/debuff tracking for every class, role, and specialization. The base of the interface is built upon ElvUI and can be customized differently for each and every person who uses the UI. If you are looking for something new and refreshing, this UI might be exactly what you had in mind!

Pre-Installation:
---------

Required Addons:
-ElvUI - Acquired from the www.tukui.org website
-Raven - Can get it from Curse Client

Recommended Addons:
-AddOnSkins
-xCT+ - Can get it from the Curse Client or the www.tukui.org website
-XIV Databar - Can get it from Curse Client but be sure to get the one by Mikeprod
-Bigwigs (and Littlewigs for Dungeons) - Can get it from Curse Client
-DBM - Can get from Curse Client

Pick One:
-Skada - Can get it from Curse Client
-Details - Can get it from the Curse Client

Installation:
---------

You can either skip or complete the original ElvUI Installer and then you literally follow the steps of the ThinkTankUI Remastered installer to ensure your UI is installed correctly.

The command /ttuirm will also bring up the menu for the installer in case you delete a profile or close the installer.

Due to the Errors that Raven sometimes likes to give (for instance, the Raid Buffs Bar and the Special Buff Bar) make sure to have /luaerror off in ElvUI. It will grab the bugs and make it work like it should have originally. Or you can use any other bug grabber addon. There isn't really an issue with Raven, it's just some tooltip info is out of date in the main addon but everything works normally otherwise.

Your Spec:
--------

The installer will create a profile for you to use based on the choices made within the installer. If you want to have more than one layout (a healer and dps/tank layout) then you will need to make more than one profile.

Lastly:
---------

Enjoy the UI and please make me aware of any bugs by sending me a message at [email protected] or by posting on wowinterface, tukui, or curseforge. I wish you all the best and happy demon hunting!

Version 3.1
-Updated the entire installation process to make everything much smoother for installation.
-Completely reworked the profile system of the entire UI
-Added Colored fonts to the Buffs/Debuffs so they are easier to see
-Added in a second set of actionbars so there is a little more choice.
-Moved the minimap back to the right hand side. If I want to make an option for either I could but currently raven is attached to the minimap and the buffs don't slide down automatically when in your class halls.
-In order to prevent Errors from popping up when the Raid Bar and Special Buff bar is up, make sure to have /luaerror off or have a bug grabber addon. These to bars work like they should but blizzard changed how they collect tooltip data a while back and it is causing an issue just with those two bars.
-I'm in the process of adding in another unitframe just in case a second choice is wanted.
-Bug fixes and much much more.

Version 3.0
I reverted back to the class specific buff tracking after rolling back a few versions and it all seems to be working fine.
Here are the changes:
-I moved the map back to the left like I said I would after things got fixed with XIVDatabar.
-I adjusted a number of settings in the player, target, party, and raid frames. Things should go a lot smoother.
-I adjusted the size of the small action bars to better accommodate the spells being shown.
-Fixed the Raid Buffs Bar and the Special Buffs Bar to work properly.
-I added a variety of new spells to the class buff tracking system (I still might now have them all so let me know if there is one missing you need in there)
-In order to make future updates easier, I revamped the profile management system to better handle updates. You will no longer need to delete profiles, rather, they will be overwritten with new ones after running the installer again.
-Moved all the Data Bars (xp, artifact power, etc to the top left next to the map)
-I moved Skada to the bottom right and gave it two windows for ease of access/tracking ability.
-In order to accommodate Skada, I moved trade chat to the left chat bar and made it wider.
-Finally, I made many small bugs fixed that should improve the QoL of this suite.

Looking forward to working with you all to make this a success!

Version 2.7
-Removed all custom buff bars from raven. There are too many issues within the custom bars to make them work correctly, until raven is updated for BFA, but the automatic bars seem to work fine.
-I added semi-customized auto bars for everything that I removed. Everything should work as it should but you will need to delete your raven profiles and reinstall them with /ttuirm and click on the addon profiles tab.
-Thanks for the support everyone. Good luck out there. Stay tuned to a custom project of mine!

Version 2.61
-No major changes but I put the files in the wrong folder so I had to fix it. It should now work properly if you extract the files in to your addons folder. (it has to be ElvUI_ThinkTankUI_RM or else it won't load the addon data)

Version 2.6
-Removed the old Raid Buff Bar
-Removed the Special Buffs under the player frame
-Fixed the following buffs for the mage:
Heating Up
Hot Streak
Blazing Barrier
Prismatic Barrier

They were not showing properly due to incorrect spell ids. That is now resolved.

The Removal of these two frames was to get rid of all the errors they were throwing. In the meantime I have added in a new bar to the top left that is invisible but it will track Long Buffs (Raid Buffs) and anything over 2 minutes long up to 10 buffs. If the time is not long enough I will set it to track buffs over 5 minutes. Second, the bar that had the special buffs (usually long CDs that could save your life) would show if you were targeted by one of these buffs but with the recent update it broke the system for that bar and I cannot fix it. In the meantime I will be researching a way to make everything work how I want. Look forward to changes in the future (I'll play around with many buff tracking programs i.e. Vuhdu, Weakauras 2, and so on).

To install this you need to type /raven and go to profiles and delete your current profile for that character and then run the installer again by typing /ttuirm and go to the addon profile install portion and run that again to add in the changes. I look forward to working hard to makes things amazing.

Version 2.54
-Generalized Bug Fixes with the Update to the new ElvUI. I checked all the profiles and settings to make sure everything is in working order. If you are having any issues of problems please send them to me ASAP so I can get to work on those things.

Version 2.53
-Fixed the profile creation system for the addons. It was making the profile but just overwriting the old one to make the new one. That issue is now fixed. Enjoy! /ttuirm and go to addon profiles to make the changes after updating

Version 2.52
-I mislabeled a few lines of code and the profiles were not creating properly. It is now fixed

Version 2.51
-Made a QoL change by making it so that almost all the addons will now make profiles based on your character name (i.e. maximus-ThinkTankUI). There was some issues switching profiles so I fixed the issue by allowing profiles to be made per character, with the exception of DBM because it worked fine. You can either keep the old profiles or just run /ttuirm and go to the addons section and click the addon profile installer to add the newly named profiles.

Version 2.5
-I made some quality of life changes to the UI while the ElvUI bug gets fixed. The entire top of the UI is reversed. You will need to update your UI by deleting the old profiles and running the installer again. It might be easier to delete your Saved Variables folder instead

Version 2.23
- Correctly configured the Details addon install data to actually work. I forgot a _ in the code.

Version 2.22
-I removed the config.lua and added the /ttuirm right in to the install file to prevent the game from not loading the installer on the first login of a character.
-Reworked Skada slightly to work better for those of you who could not click it to change modes.

Version 2.21
-I added a command to open the installer if you ever need to delete/remove a profile or wanted to add in some addon profiles you missed. /ttuirm

Version 2.2
-Modified the installation process so that it will now add your character name before the profile name "ThinkTankUI" so that you can now make multiple profiles.

Version 2.1
-Added a DBM profile for all of you who asked for one

Version 2.0
-The INSTALLER UPDATE! This is the first update where an installer is available for everyone.
-I updated the raid buff locations.
-Attached the raven functions to the Unit Frames, thus just switching profiles will move the tracking frames automatically.
-Added some missing or misnamed spell IDs for the tracking system.
-Added a Healing profile for those of you who wanted one.

Version 1.75
-Added support for the Details Addon. The profile will have to be manually selected but it is set up to work with the UI currently.
-Added DBM in to an optional support folder for those of you who prefer DBM over BigWigs

Version 1.71
-I removed an older version of the XIV Databar which was not allowing people to Shift/Right Click their artifact weapons in the character window. A new version has been added.
-Adjusted the buffs for raid so that the flasks properly show if they are active. (they will not show on the general buff bar so be aware of that but I can add that later if people ask enough for it)
-Re-positioned the XCT+ windows so they are not "off"

Good Luck My Friends!

Version 1.6
-Reconfigured the updated version of XCT+ so that it should work with the latest version of the addon.
-Minor Bug Fixes

*Note- I do not currently play WoW but my wife still does so I will be trying to have regular updates on this as much as I can.

Version 1.52
-Added in the buff for the Resto Druid Artifact Weapon. I went through to make sure all the druid heals show on the party/raid frames too.

Version 1.51
-Added a few new spells to the filters so they are now visible on the party/raid frames (i.e. Bestow Faith ect..)
-Removed the Power Bars from the Raid Frames to make them slightly larger (I can add them back if there is a demand) but it just makes it easier to heal with larger frames (except the 40 man frames, those may not be easy to heal with)

Version 1.5
-Added more spells to raven that I missed initially (I'll keep adding them as I find them)
-Created a video that show you how to make a macro for the /reflux switch ThinkTankUI (check it out, it is a lot easier than typing every time)
-Set up Buttons on my page for all my accounts, especially my stream on Twitch! (check it out!)

Version 1.46
-Moved all of the xp/rep/honor/artifact bars to more appropriate places
-Added a few small buffs in to raven
-Moved Skada ever so slightly to make room for the xp bar

Version 1.45
-Increased the size of the party frames as I found healing difficult on the smaller frames
-Added a few buff indicators in to the party frames (atonement, ect...)
-Made the new food/buff/flask bar for raid hidden while solo
-Hopefully the last update for a little while :D

Version 1.42
-Added Raid Buff Tracking (Flask, Food, Augment, Inscription Buffs, pally buffs, ect...)
-tweaked a few raven issues and added new info about it to the changelog

Version 1.41
-Forgot to add in Littlewigs to the addon stuff. (that would be no fun going in to dungeons and not having it)
-Added a second Saved Variables folder for those of you who are existing users

Version 1.4
-Should be the last modification/move of the ElvUI Frames so after this no more updating the saved variables! YAY!
-Removed DBM. Added Bigwigs/Littlewigs Boss Mods for all Dungeon/Raid Encounters
-Added most/all passive buffs from the artifact weapons (it's possible I missed one or two)
-Made 2 videos, An Install and A Feature Video for those of you who want to see the UI in Action
-Looking to get a stream up and going SOON! I've been testing the stream already, I'll keep you posted.

Version 1.35
-Quick fix for the Databar. It is moved to the bottom, thus I had to move everything else upwards, even if that was the last thing I wanted to do.
-There are a few small changes, I.E. ElvUI Player Frames are hidden Out of Combat.
-Skada us hidden when solo by default
-Raven Bars on the player are now hidden Out of Combat.

Bigger Update to Come in a Day or So

Version 1.31
-Fixed a few more bar groups in Raven for each class
-Updated the Buff Bar Icons/Timer Text
-made DBM bars not as spread out
-final Fixes on a few small things before Legion Drop.

Version 1.3
-Fixed some class profiles in Raven that I missed in the last update.
-Added Avenger's Shield Procs to the paladin profile (if there are others you want just ask)
-Updated Skada
-Updated Raven

Version 1.2 (LOTS OF TEDIOUS WORK!)
-Added Class Specific Buff Tracking through Raven for each Class/Spec
-Added a Raid Buff Bar for Tanks/Healers for Very Important Raid CDs
-General Layout fixes
-Minor Bug Fixes

Version 1.11
-Moved DBM and skada frames to accommodate the databar...missed them

Version 1.1
-Added XIV_Databar back to the build
-Reorganized the layout to accommodate the databar

Version 1.0
-Talked with the creator of ThinkTankUI and got permission to use the name ThinkTankUI (which was what I based my layout on in the first place, but it seems more fitting that my own)
-Updated Skada
-Updated All Addon Profiles to be named ThinkTankUI.

If I don't get any report on the error, it is hard to see what the issue might be. Do you have any logs from the issue? also, when was the last time you updated ElvUI itself?
Thanks for hint. Next time.... Awesome. I was running ElvUI 10.72.
Did this solve your problem? or are there still issues?

I think both of you are confusing each other on how the profile creation works now so I made a quick install video to catch you up to speed. It'll be up momentarily. Also, feel free to check out my discord if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks!

I just setup what I call BASEPROFILE for every addon, which is the basics of what I want everything to look like that interacts with this compilation. Raven, XXIV, etc... then I make the minor manual adjustments I need. Such as for XXIV as you mentioned I like to make the inactive color of things correspond to my class as well as Hover. So that's a minor 2 second fix. That's my advice anyway is to setup a base profile you use on a new character then make the couple minor fixes and save it for that char.
I guess you are refering to changes you want to make to a profile.

Like I have to turn on Chat Panels on Both sides, HealthPercentage on the Target Frame and so on. I doubt there's any way you can get around making these changes manually twice.

Regarding the Installation:

That's not my problem. I use the same profile for every character. But upon creating a new char, you have to open all the addons in this compilation and select the ThinkTankUi Profile if you don't want to override your own variables. That's kinda bothersome.

A couple of things:

1. Whenever I use a new profile my Raid/Party Frames are somehow off which I have to manually correct (I would have to do either way because of the additional Bar 1 column, but just saying..)

https://imgur.com/a/q9dVQ

2. What is your ideal way to set the new profile after updating or going on a toon for the first time now?
I TTUIRM Installation, skip everything and only "Set Addon Profiles" but some changes I did will be overwritten this way. Like the backgroundcolor I've set for XIV

Did you make two profiles (one for Healer and one for DPS)?

Edit:

Oh I have a question to the installationprocess on toons with your recent update.
When I logon on a toon obviously everything will be messed up due to profile not selected. So I start your installer, check DPS/Tank & Healer Profile Creation where output will say Profile already exists & skips it.
Afterwards I Check SetAddonProfiles & Set Raven Profiles so I don't have to set every addons profile in this package manually.

Here's the problem tho.
Now every change I made to your base profile is totally messed up. My Bar 1 goes back to 6 from 12 Buttons, Chat Panel Backfade is gone and the Party/Raid Frames are on a totally weird location.
I'm in the process of rewriting the code for the installer as we speak so that it matches up with my most recent release of my other addon Compilation. My other release has all of those issues fixed but it will take time to code it all. Give me a few days and it should be all set.

Also, what default display was this made for? all of the anchors and screen positions are messed up when I use a resolution of 2560x1440.
If you go in to /raven and go to bar groups, there will be one called buffs for raid (but things like Well Fed and such will not show in your normal buff bar) so I recommend selecting that profile and going to the general tab and select, "Hide When Solo" and that should fix the issue. Thanks for the support!
