Updated for WoD
BalancePowerTracker is an addon designed to provide a highly configurable bar to track Lunar/Solar energy, Eclipse direction and Peak buff.
It also can fire wanrnings when you gain Eclipse and provides energy prediction.
It's focused on using the CPU strictly necessary and no more.
PREDICTED ENERGY:
Predicted energy analizes your current cast/GCD and adds its cast time to your current energy, so BPT predicts where your energy is going to be, and if you are going to proc any Peak or not.
Unlike former versions, calculating predicted energy is now more difficult (due to fast switch when near 0 and lag), so it's done by approximation. This means that prediction accuracy is no longer 100% (near 100 and -100 is pretty much completely accurate and near 0 you can get +2/-2, usually +1/-1 averaged)
You can configure the indicators (bar, text, icons, arrow) of the mod to either display predicted or real info.
Also, you can configure the alerts to fire when you are going to get a Peak.
(Author's note: I feel Predicted Energy is the heart of BPT, I think without this option I wouldn't have made this addon, also it has taken up most of the time invested in the addon, however, I understand people value the choice to turn this off. At least, give it a try!)
WARNING: Euphoria is untested and Astral Communion error margin is higher
Provides LibSharedMedia, Masque & MikSBT support:

I found 3 in LibBalancePowerTracker-1.0/LibBalancePowerTracker-1.0.lua
and while this fixes the numbers, on mine the bar colors are all kinds of weird and it's quite unhelpful overall now because of this. |

Reposting from Curse:
copialinex: http://www.wowpedia.org/API_COMBAT_LOG_EVENT They added a new parameter before srcGUID. For everyone else trying to quickly fix it, look for _,event,gUID and replace with _,event,_,gUID There is one line in BalancePowerTracker.lua and two more in LibBalancePowerTracker-1.0/LibBalancePowerTracker-1.0.lua |

havin the same problems with BPT in 4.1 as when I was tryin to use it in the PTR.
The power tracker starts to become off balance for some reason, any chance you can get a 4.1 patch update for it? It's an amazing add-on, one of my favorites actually, so it would be sad for it to no longer be able to work |

I have built myself a HUD-type of lay-out (or it's in the works) separate from the rest of my UI, using BPT at it's base. Due to this, I found it most convenient to use the BalancePowerTrackerBackgroundFrame as a parent to everything included in the HUD - And with a press of a button, I can toggle it. That way when I'm idling or whatever else, I don't have to have it around the centre of my screen, or on it at all. Can PM you a picture after I've gotten some sleep. Thanks again. |

Is there any short script I could use for a macro, that would toggle the 'Enabled' state of the addon; or one for Enabling, and one for disabling?
Been going through the code, but I'm no LUA wiz. Also been trying to add a keybind for the function to the keybind menu, but with no luck. Code:
/script BalancePowerTrackerBackgroundFrame:Hide(); and /script BalancePowerTrackerBackgroundFrame:Show(); Think you could lend a hand? |

Not so much a lack of feature, than an inconvenience having to adjust the code with each update; would you consider for future releases, to have Bar Width adjustable by single units, rather than in steps of 5?
Due to my very compact and aligned UI, I find myself wanting it precisely 306 wide. |

Been experiencing an issue with BPT ever since I downloaded v 1.1.4.
It won't allow me to keep the text off. Unchecking the box, it will disappear, but after reloading or relogging, the power text is back, and the box is still checked. The weird part is, even when I attempt to alter the .LUA document (saved variables, and the addon itself), it still will not reflect the changes. It leaves me to think that this might be an issue on my end, with Windows 7 not giving me permission. However, I am the owner of the files, and no other addon is giving me this error. Is this a known issue? EDIT: Looking further into the issue; the addon will update upon some things, such as me moving it. - Which is not reset by reloading. I can properly toggle the display of Icons, but not bar Visibility, for example. EDIT2: Issue appears resolved, oddly enough. I've been struggling with it for days.

Re: Awesome addon
On the glyph bug, I've seen some threads on other addons with the same bug and searching a little more I found wowace, so I think it's a bug on Blizzard's side. |

Although I won't deny that customizable arrow is a good idea. |
