ZThreatMeter  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.0.10
by: NwK|Zulah [More]

This is a basic threat display AddOn using Blizzards new built-in threat functions.

It displays a customizable amount of bars for everyone on the threat list of your current target.

Unlike Omen on the live servers, it will display the correct threat values even if you are the only one with this AddOn!

The default setting displays the scaled threat percent, wich means if you get 100% threat you will have aggro.

The anchor frame will change colors depending on your current threat state:

default = 0-99% raw threat.
yellow = 100% or more raw threat percentage. Likely to pull aggro.
orange = tanking, other has 100% or more raw threat percentage. Likely to loose aggro.
red = tanking / aggro.

Note: This is your maximum threat state on any mobs threat list. It's not limited to your target.

Use Alt+Leftclick do drag the frame.
The options can be accessed through the "/zt config" command or Alt+Rightclick on the frame.

1.0.10
- Ace3 library update.

1.0.9
- fixed a bug with player pets.

1.0.8
- fixed a bug that prevented the frame from showing up in raids.

1.0.7
- public release.

A note here. ALL threat meters will work in this way after 3.0.2. Even Omen. To put it otherwise is almost fraudulent.

Very nice addon! Thank you for creating it.

A few suggestions:

1- Provide an option to autohide the anchor bar when not in combat, or when no threat levels are being displayed.

2- Display the target icon, if any, that has been assigned to the current target by the party or raid leader.

3- An audio warning (perhaps allow the user to replace the default sound you provide overwriting an mp3 file) which triggers when the player's threat reaches a user-definable value.

1. This is pure awesome. Small footprint equals win.

2. There's a feature or two I've been pining for and I wonder if you could implement them. When trying out builds I want to test my overall TPS (fight average, not just momentary), which would be infinitely easier if I could set my threat meter not to clear instantly when combat ends! Also, if you could put in an actual TPS display and maybe a fight timer, that would be gravy.

EDIT: Key bind and/or optional minimap icon to toggle display would also be sweet.

There seems to be a problem with the newest version of Ace3Config.
The librarys packed with my addon should work, but if you have an addon that uses a newer version of Ace3Config there could be problems.

I don't know if this is ZT related or beta related.

When I enter /zt config I get an empty window with some type of horizontal bar at the bottom going that starts at the left side and extends almost to the right side and a close button in the bottom right corner. Also after hitting the Enter key the chat entry box does not close it stays there with the /zt config still showing. I hit escape and it will close the chat entry box, but then the escape key is totally disabled and I have to Alt-tab out and use task manager to exit the game.

The contents of the toc:
## Interface: 30000
## Title: ZThreatMeter
## Author: Zulah
## Version: 1.0.8
## SavedVariables: ZThreatMeterDB

embeds.xml
ZThreatMeter.lua
Options.lua
edit: also the threat bar is centered in the window and I can't move it using Alt-left.
