Minimap Button Frame  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.1.10f
by: Bachlott [More]

This little addon will gather up all of your addon minimap buttons and put them into a movable frame.

Features

- Minimap Button Skinning (Square Minimap Buttons)
- Add or Remove almost any minimap button
- Multiple Sorting Options - Including Custom!
- Collection of Blizzard Buttons
- Collect only the buttons you want
- Background Color can be changed from the config screen
- Hide most of the Blizzard Minimap Icons
- LDB Support
- Key Bindings
- Profile Support
- Basic Localization in English, Spanish, French, German, Korean, Russian, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)

Future Features

- Full LDB version of MBF

Known Issues

Metamap minimap button is incompatable due to the way it is handled in the addon.

The addon does not grab button that do not have a name currently.

Currently discovered addons that are this way are:

Enchantrix (Part of Auctioneer Advanced)
onRaid

The Blizzard buttons that only show up under certain conditions, (battleground, LFG) will only display on the Frame when they are shown normally and active scanning is enabled. Otherwise they will apprear on the minimap when they are shown.

The Add feature is a little more powerful than I originally expected. So you can accidentally grab things that you didn't expect to be able to. (Other Addons) I've tried to protect the blizzard interface features and a couple other things, but let me know if you can grab something that you don't think you should be able to. If you do accidentally add something to the bag you can always remove it.

I've added a lot to the Localization, so it's another quick and dirty, horrible translation. Thanks again for the crazyness Google. So if you can do a better translation please help me out and submit it to me so I can add it to MBF. Hopefully Google didn't make them too funny or offensive.

Note:

The ability to add minimap icons to the table can be a general or partial name of the icons. The button override table add should be the exact name of the button that you want to override and collect.

As always your feedback is more than welcome!

The minimap zoom function using the mouse scroll wheel does not work when MBF and SimpleMiniMap are both loaded.
The zoon function does work with MBF and Squeenix (another minimap addon).

I think this is a new issue with the latest (2.1) release of MBF. I always keep the frame collapsed (hidden) and recently after the latest update I've noticed that there are a number of Minimap Buttons that remain scattered on the map. Once I open the MBF frame they are all grabbed and resorted into their proper locations within the frame. They will stay that way until I logout. Once I logout and then log back in, they end up scattered all over the place again. Performing the same procedure (i.e. opening the frame) gathers them all up again.

If I logout with the frame open and then log back in, the wayward buttons are at first scattered, but after a second or two they are corralled into the MBF frame.

Here are the addons with wayward buttons:

- SmartBuff
- MrPlow
- BulkMail
- Ora2

I do use a minimap replacement. it is Chincilla by CKKnight - http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-a...hinchilla.aspx

I did NOT notice this behavior with the previous release of MBF.

Yeah I've seen it and it will be corrected in the next version. When I finally fixed the errors that people were getting I changed a little bit in the gathering of the buttons.

I basically don't grab the buttons until they have stabilized and blizz returns the actual info about them. I think for some reason the auto scan isn't running when the frame is hidden.

I'll post the new version in the next couple of days.

lol GuildOrganizer has a history of not working with MBF I've had to make changes to MBF to support it twice already. It looks like they changed something else with the button and made it incompatible again. I'll take a look at it.

Could you add an option to make the Mbfminimap Button invisible and only shown on mouseover? At the moment I am using a hide/show makro with a hidden mouseover bar but i would really love to have this build in.

As soon as I have fixed the current outstanding issues I'll look into how much effort this would take.

Bad news. ButtonFacade used to check for MBF and then skin the buttons on it. This is no longer the case. If you want MBF to be able to use it ButtonFacade will have to be modified. Sorry. I did start work to make sure I don't skin anything when ButtonFacade is active, but it looks like I'll need to pull that code out since ButtonFacade doesn't even make an attempt to skin the buttons on MBF since I put skin routines into it.

The button is disabled in combat but if you keep it open you can still access the buttons. Apparently it was using some sort of protected function during combat. I was never completely clear if it was MBF or another addon actually causing the error but locking it during combat seems to fix it.

well thx for the quick answer Bachlott... im keyboarder so i dont like overcrowded ui. so its not a options for me... 'n actually i was made 2 phased macro for it by now..

/Mbf show
/Mbf hide

and its working on combat but ofc its temporary solution before fix or any other options.

btw i was tested alone/without any other addons 'n after i was tired 2 check your codes so i found....

Code:
MBFButton:Disable();
		SetDesaturation(MBFButtonIcon, 1);
	elseif (event == "PLAYER_REGEN_ENABLED") then
		paused = false;
		MBFButton:Enable();
		SetDesaturation(MBFButtonIcon, 0);
and i was delete those lines.. 'n its been fixed... but im not completely sure what i did

I think you also needed to remove the line of code before that as well. The other one that mentioned PLAYER_REGEN. But other than than looks like you got the right section of code for what you were looking for.
