MoveAnything enables you to move, scale, hide and adjust transparency of just about any screen element in WoW, offering tools to help you customize your UI. Some other frame modifications is also possible using MA's Frame Editors(introduced in 11.b2).
Type /move to show the main window or click the button below the game menu. This main window contains a list of Blizzard's frames(any element not in the list can be added to the Custom Frames category by either /move frameName, /hide frameName or one of the move/hide keybindings).
Maintained by Wagthaa of Earthen Ring EU since the pre-WotLK patch. Kudos to Skrag(original author), Jason(vanilla mod) & Vincent(tbc) for earlier versions.

3.02-7 and Vehicle Bar
As I reported earlier, I am experiencing issues with 3.02-8 related to non-saving positions of moved and hidden UI elements. 3.02-7 is not presenting these problems for me, so I continue to use 3.02-7.
The only problem I am having with 3.02-7 is related to the vehicle bar, which appears in place of the main bar when "in" a vehicle (easiest example is the "horse" quest which is the first quest in the Death Knight starting area once you fly down from Acherus the first time - easy because you can perform tests here by just creating a Death Knight). When a vehicle is entered, the entire main bar disappears but the new vehicle bar does not appear. Usually, the keybindings will still work even though the bar is not visible (so if one is familiar with the specific vehicle, "flying blind" is possible - but if not familiar, then... you're stuck), but not always. The only workaround I've found to this is to disable MoveAnything before entering a vehicle (or after entering it) and to then relog or reload the UI. Obviously, this is not a very satisfactory workaround since it takes a good bit of time to do this in the best of circumstances (and in many cases this leads to character death or quest failure), and while MoveAnything is disabled, all the other UI elements controlled by MoveAnything revert to their default positions and non-hidden states. I thank you for your work with MoveAnyting. I'm looking forward to future updates which will address these issues.

Hi,
Every time I move the Achievement notification windows (both of them) when I actually get an achievement the window looks stretched and blurred. Impossible to read. It's like it stretched the window instead of moving it. Anything I can do to fix this? Thanks, Twidget |

Re: 3.02-7 and Vehicle Bar
2. type a quick /rl and hit Enter. This won't be nice in BGs, but it works while questing. I tried to put this in a macro, but ...eh, the macro was hidden after leaving the vehicle. >.< Here's to hoping we'll find a working, nonbuggy frame moving addon soon. |

Re: Re: 3.02-7 and Vehicle Bar
I have considered just leaving the MainActionBarFrame and its attached/subframes alone. But I don't like the aura/stance bar or the pet bar sticking out on top of that frame, and I don't like the position of the frame itself. I also don't use the built-in experience/rep bar. And other interface elements I have placed in such a way that they would be occluded by the MainActionBarFrame and its associated parts - even the gryphon art is in the way. I don't want to redesign my entire UI because of this one issue. Wagthaa: FluidFrames (also found here on wowinterface.com) does NOT have this problem when it is used to move/resize the MainActionBarFrame and to move or hide associated frames, such as the aura/stance bar, xp bar, and pet bar. (It DOES have a totally different problem with the pet bar, but that's not related to the vehicle UI issue.) Perhaps you could take a look through the FluidFrames code to see how that author, AnduinLothar, handles the MainActionBarFrame and adopt that process for just that one frame.

Posted this over at Curse earlier. This site wasn't operational for some reason.
Firstly I apologize for my absence the last weeks, but I've had my hands full between vacation, birthday, projects and of course the release of WotLK. I'll look into the reported vehicle bar bug as soon as possible, and will release a fix when it's done. As I'm currently away from home I'll have to wait till I get the time, but I think I can squeeze it in during the wee hours of the night. The problems with frames resetting was initially reported before -8, but -8 has surely made it worse. I'm a bit at a loss here as -8 offered a much more correct and error tolerant initial frame hooking. As I'm still unable to reproduce the issue, I can't promise a fix my engine rewrite is done(which hopefully should be in a couple weeks). |

A quick fix for getting the vehicle bar back into view:
/move VehicleMenuBar and then press the "C" button on the MA nudger. This will place the vehicle bar at the center of the screen, ready for you to reposition. If you have UCS enabled this will have to be done on every character you want it to work for. The Vehicle Bar will be added to the list in -9, along with a permanent fix for this issue. Check back in a day or two, I should have it done by then. |

This looks like the kind of mod I'm looking for. I would like to "on the fly" be able to reposition certain frames - in particular (at the moment) my minimap (Rico's Minimap) when I'm running around half-wittedly (the only way) trying to collect herbs or mines.
I'd like to set the position using (x,y) within a macro to a more convenient position near the center of my screen, and then, when done collecting, reset it back to its current position. How would I do that with this mod? |

AchievementAlertFrame1/2
Thanks for your work on this.. I was pleased to find this as my I always wanted to move the frames I'm now having some issues with.
Every time I log out these frames bug out and place themselves off screen (y axis), bottom right of. I managed to correct the situation by editing the y lua field from ~26 to ~106 but when switching chars/logging off etc it reverts most annoying as even with/out char specific settings it does the same thing ;¬C Any idea what the problem may be? - Pseudopath. |
