Bazooka  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v3.0.7
by: mitch0 [More]

Bazooka is a Data Broker Display similar in functionality and looks to FuBar.

Featrue highlights

  • Top/Bottom alignment or free moving of bars.
  • Left-click drag moves, right-click drag resizes the bar (unless the frames are locked).
  • Drag-and-drop plugin placement with highlighted drop positions.
  • Configurable background / font / icon size.
  • The usual options for data broker displays (show text/icon/label, optionally show title in place of label if it's missing).
  • Support of iconCoords and icon[RGB] (TomTom arrow, for example).
  • Left / Center-Left / Center / Center-Right / Right placement position for plugins within bars, allowing easy layout of plugins. Plugins placed in the Center area are centered as a bunch.
  • Optional auto-fade while in combat / out of combat.
  • Optionally disable mouse / tooltips.
  • Optional simple tooltips (just show title if Alt is held while moving the mouse pointer over the plugin).
  • Optional highlight on mouseover for the active plugin.
  • Load-on-demand configuration options, small memory footprint for "standard" operation.
  • Bulk mode configuration that allows configuring multiple bars/plugins easily.
  • Restrict plugin text width (since 1.8.3)

Note for v1.8.0: Multiple top/bottom bars are attached to each other now, no need to fiddle with the tweak anchor settings. As a side effect, previous tweak settings are reset, so if you needed those to get rid of the 1-pixel-gap, set it again for your top bar. Sorry about that.
Usage

Getting started
  • Create new bars from the main options window
  • Drag plugins to desired location
  • Drag plugins off bars to disable them

Using the bulk configuration (standard method)
  1. Uncheck Auto-apply.
  2. Check the bars/plugins you want the settings to apply to.
  3. Check Apply next to the settings you want to change, and set them to the value you need.
  4. Click Apply at the bottom of the options. The changes you selected will be applied to all selected bars/plugins at this point.

Using the bulk configuration (auto-apply method)
  1. Check Auto-apply.
  2. Check the bars/plugins you want the settings to apply to.
  3. Change the settings (or click the Apply text next to them if their current value is the one you want). The changes will be applied immediately to all selected bars/plugins.

Slash commands

/bazooka - open configuration
/bazooka locked - toggle locked/unlocked state

Exclamation "Adjust Frames" and "Consolidate Buffs" bug

A small bug (observed on the beta, patch 13117):

The "Adjust Frames" option in Bazooka does not work on the blizzard buff frame that shows buffs when "Consolidate Buffs" in the blizzard buff options is disabled (it does apply fine when "Consolidate Buffs" is enabled, which is the default setting).

Apart from that, bazooka seems to work great

Re:

Hello,

Thanks for the feedback!

The Blizzard frames are moved by LibJostle. I just checked, the new buff frames are already added to the latest LibJostle alpha. I'll update Bazooka with it when the patch hits live, till then you can install the latest LibJostle to fix this issue.

cheers,
mitch

<3 this addon.

Question : is there any chance/option to scale the size of the tooltip(s) ? For my taste the tooltip(s) are much too huge compared to what ive been used form fubar plugins (at least it was possible to scale em there).
Havent found yet any options that scales the tooltip/(+its font)

Edit :

Seems its quite random which plugin uses what tooltip. Some are affected by tooltip-resizing addons, some use their own tooltipscaler (like travelagent), some are just static (broker_location). Its really ugly to have different tooltip and /or Font sizes, so i come back to my original question if its possible to rule them all by bazooka ?

I've added some support for it in v1.9.2. Dunno how much better it'll be than the ones you tried though

cheers,
mitch

ps: v1.9.2 is on curse now, I'll upload it here if I don't get too much flame about it on curse. The 1.9.0 release caused a bit of a mess

Hi I get this error when using Bazooka with the plugin: Broker Everything
The error occurs when right klicking the Modul Bags to switch the Display mode.
So I'm not shure if its a Broker Everything problem (not supportet any more) or Bazooka.

Code:
2x Broker_Everything-0.0.16\modules\bags.lua:41: attempt to index field 'obj' (a nil value)
Broker_Everything-0.0.16\modules\bags.lua:59: in function `OnClick'
Bazooka-Bazooka-r167\Bazooka.lua:1267: in function <Bazooka\Bazooka.lua:1264>
Here 41-60 Bags.lua (modul of Broker Everything):
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Code:
	self.obj.text = c (txt)
end

local bags_events = {
	"PLAYER_LOGIN",
	"BAG_UPDATE",
	"UNIT_INVENTORY_CHANGED",
}

local bags_onclick = function(self, btn)
	if btn == "RightButton" then
		if Broker_EverythingDB.bag_display == 0 then
			Broker_EverythingDB.bag_display = 1
		else
			Broker_EverythingDB.bag_display = 0
		end
		bags_onevent(self)
	else

Here line 1264-1270 Bazooka.lua:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Code:
Plugin.OnClick = function(frame, ...)
    local self = frame.bzkPlugin
    if self.dataobj.OnClick then
        self.dataobj.OnClick(frame, ...)
    end
end

Re: Broker_Everything

Hi,

It's a Broker_Everything issue, I don't think it would work in any display addon in its present form.

A temporary fix might be replacing line 41:
Code:
    self.obj.text = c (txt)
with

Code:
    (self.obj or LibStub:GetLibrary("LibDataBroker-1.1"):GetDataObjectByName("Bags")).text = c (txt)
It's drycode, might not work, but at first glance BE is having other issues as well, so I can't really fix it properly for you

cheers,
mitch

minimap icons

Absolutely amazing addon, great replacement for fubar.

However, having some issues with minimap buttons, which are still appearing even with the 'disable minimap icons' options checked. Any way to sort this? Using chinchilla minimap if that's of any relevance.

Cheers for a great addon

Re: minimap icons

Hello,

Bazooka only disables the Broker-based minimap icons (that is, those that would show up in Bazooka). Addons are free to create their own special minimap icons, Bazooka doesn't handle those. Make sure you don't have some leftover fubar plugins lurking around.

Also, could you provide a list of icons you still see on the minimap? (just in case it's a real bug with the way I hide them)

cheers,
mitch
