FuBar - FarmerFu  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.0
by: Aileen [More]

FarmerFu helps you keep track of items that you are farming, so that you don't need to keep opening your bags and counting your stacks manually.

To add items from your list, use the command line option "/farmerfu add <item>" (/ffu also works in place of /farmerfu) or the FuBar menu text field. "<item>" may be either the item link (only on the command line), the item name (must be in your local cache), or the item id.

Spanish localization: shiftos

Compare String with nil

I am relatively new to using add-ons, so hopefully I am doing something wrong that is easily fixable.

Farmerfu has become one of my favorite add-ons, except for the fact that it stopped working on my computer a couple days ago. When I log in I get the following error message:

Interface/AddOns/FuBar_FarmerFu/FarmerFu
lua:380: attempt to Compare String with nil

I also get this message every time I do anything that affects mky inventory in any way

I have tried a number of things to identify the problem, including
deleting farmerfu and reinstalling it
disabling all other add-ons (except FuBar 2.0) and running only farmerfu
but I still get the same error

This error started mid week, it was not associated with a patch/software update or any other change that I know of. One day it worked, the next time I logged in that day it didn't. The only thing I can think of that possibly changed was my adding of a number of items to the list of items being tracked (I probably was tracking between 20 and 25 items)

I am trying to use what I believe is the latest version -
FuBar - FarmerFu v2.0 $Revision: 29970 $

Downloading now, thanks for the fix.

You can also "hide" the items for now that you are trying to remove instead of clearing the list and re-adding the other ones. The new hide feature can be found in the tooltip menu. Just check off the ones you don't want to appear on the tooltip.

RE: My post on 03/12/2007

I found a version of AutoBar (r30606) on the wowace.com site that is newer than the released version on wowinterface.com that seems to fix the library problems I was having. Apparently it was not a problem with FarmerFu after all. That's ACE2 for ya!

Using the latest WoWI revision.
Sorry about the removal of the quick click functionality. I got too many complaints and bug reports that either it didn't work (because of all-in-one bag mods either interpreting the clicks on their own or blocking the clicks) or it did something unexpected (opened the dressing room window due to the ctrl part of the click). A while ago there was a suggestion to allow items to be dragged and dropped onto the FuBar plugin as a means of "quick add" and I still intend to see if that is feasible. Please note that you can use /ffu instead of /farmerfu (save a few keystrokes) and also you don't need to link the item if it's in your local cache. You can just type the name out (even uncapitalized).

Please post what errors you are getting. I cannot track them down if I don't know what they are. Also, reporting them at the bug reports link is a better way to get my attention that there is a problem.

You are using the default profile if the items you add on one character appear on the others. If you wish the item lists to be separate, switch it to use the character profile or create some other custom profiles. FarmerFu uses the built in profile functionality of FuBar/Ace.

Error on r29971

I was using FarmerFu r20885 with no problem, but when I updated to this new release 29971, I start getting library errors, as below. If I revert back to 20885, the problem goes away.

Ah, in mid-October there was an error in one of the Ace libraries that would cause some problems with loading... but IIRC, from the errors it was not entirely clear which plugin had the buggy library in it (it wasn't always the plugin that the error message was reporting)... it could have certainly been mine, but I am not sure... it would have been fixed by the release on 11/8 though.

Either way the Ace libraries have long since been fixed, there shouldn't be any problems that I know of (other than the two mentioned by doxxx a couple days ago).

The last comment about a conflict was in late October on the MoneyFu board. I had the same problem, where the the rest of my FuBar plugins would stop loading after the first Fu error. I'll try it again, just for testing sakes...

Edit: It's working on my laptop. Maybe it was something in the Lua 5.0 coding that caused the problem that was fixed by the upgrade to 5.1. Who knows? It works now!

1. I will see what I can do about this... I might need to change the keybinding.

2. I think this is some sort of FuBar problem... I am seeing this with all my plugins when they are detached, then reattached.
