I have been using LDB-Threat for a long time now and this is a welcome change, Thanks!

Three questions though:

Can you make it so that the threat bar can be re-sized?

Would it be possible to make it so that the bar can be locked into place?

Could you add the ability to hide the bar when out of combat?

1. I may add some scaling later on but don't have any plans for it at the time, much smaller and it's not as noticable and much larger and it seems too big.

2. It sort of has this option right now, if you mean more on the lines of not clickable this one is on my todo list.

3.Again this is partially there, I plan on changing it at a later point to show up when needed but in the mean time there is a slash command to manually show and hide. /btb show and /btb hide.

Thanks a lot for your quick response!

I was only asking about scaling because it would fit better with my UI if it was shorter in height, but I can live with it as is. As far as the locking request, that was more due to the Threat Bar resetting to the middle of the screen if I reload the UI or log off.

I went ahead and added some sizing ability for the next version but there are limitations due to the frame distorting. Maybe this will help maybe not.

The bar should be saving its position, it has been on my end. I'll look into it.

Position saves fine for me. Would also like it to auto-hide whenever i'm not grouped though (or i don't have a pet out), as that black border can be quite distracting. Other than that it's very nice.

Edit: Only show up in combat should be quite easy and non-bloatish.

requests

Nice lightweight addon! i like how easy it is to change border/font/textur via lua, and will replace it with SimpleThreatMeter... so here are 3 changes that woud be very nice

- Is is possible to fill the threat bar up diynamic like in STM
- Only show up in combat / with pet or if you are in a grp (maybe with a easy lua config to enable disable this)
-lock the position or disable the tooltip in combat

This woud realy bridge a gap in the market .... there is no other lightweight one bar threatmeter

I liked the idea to hide the tooltip in combat so I put that in.

Not sure what you mean about the dynamic threat bar. I looked at STM and from the description it uses the same blizzard threat info this one does.

Also you can now hide the bar and have it automatically show up when in combat by using the /btb hide command.

As for locking, again thats on my todo list but it will require separate functions. These other additions were very simple. Which is how I want to keep this

He probably means realtime ''smooth'' updating of the bar, similar to what some unitframe mods does to healthbars. Not something you'd want if you want CPU usage to be minimal.

ya thats what wanted to say fill up smooth like a carstbar^^ hmm do you realy think this will have a great effekt to the CPU usage? Ok than i'm happy with the fill behavior now

ps: I think we don't need a locking futur if the tooltip is disabled in combat like now

PPS: can you tell me how to change the font?
I tried replacing
Code:
local font2 = threatbar:CreateFontString("Percent", "OVERLAY", "GameFontNormal")
with
Code:
local font2 = threatbar:CreateFontString("Percent", "OVERLAY", "Interface\\AddOns\\SharedMediaAdditionalFonts\\fonts\\starcine.ttf")
but after this the bar was broken :< i don't know much about lua ^^

OK I see, ya I probably wont get into that though it does sound nice.

if you want to change the font to something else try putting this right under that:
Code:
font2:SetFont("Interface\\AddOns\\SharedMediaAdditionalFonts\\fonts\\starcine.ttf", 12)

2.Is it possible to save the position and the "/hide" thing in SavedVariables for all Chars?

3. Can you make the threat bar hide if i've got a friendly target/player in target? Woud make sens

4. Is it possible with lua changes to set the border black so that it is not coloured like the threat bar? 1 need a 1px border This is my setup for now:

1. It shows the tank if you are trailing threat, it shows the next highest threat unit if you are tanking (have aggro)

2. No, it is a per character setting.

3. No. This is intended for healers to pull threat info from the person they are targeting.

4.Look for these lines in the UpdateDisplay function and remove or comment them out:
Code:
frame:SetBackdropBorderColor(1, .5, 0, 1)

Does this Addon track Mirror Image Threat like Omen? I would like to drop
Omen for a simpler Addon (like this one), but most I tried don't show
Threat anymore while Mirror Images are active.

Unfortunately no. Blizzard removed the ability to do this a few patches ago. The only way to "guess" MI threat is to monitor the combat and log and use separate euations which is complex and will bloat the footprint of the threat add on.
