oUF Lumen

Before I used oUF and started writing my own layout and small addons, Pitbull, Grid and ClassTimer were a big part of the functionality of my UI. Since then I tried to cut down on the number of addons while trying to retain its functionality. oUF_lumen using the power of oUF tries to accomplish this by creating a customized set of unit frames tha replace Pitbull, Grid and ClassTimer while being light and functional.

Compact config: https://i.imgur.com/34Yilqx.jpg

If you're interested in my UI it's here.

This is a PERSONAL Layout. What this means is that most of the functionalities will be implemented because I need it. I can eventually add some features If I see the utility in them, but I will never change the layout radically or add unnecessary and complicated features just because. The beauty of oUF layouts is that there are plenty for all tastes and it is easy to customize if you want to dwellve into code!

- Features

  • Minimalist design
  • Standalone (oUF and several oUF plugins embedded - Experience, Reputation, Smooth...)
  • Layout works for all type of roles (damage, healing or tanking)
  • Feature complete (All frames supported, including Boss and Arena)
  • Complete support for class specific power (Combo Points, Chi, Holy Power, Insanity, etc...)
  • All frames supported, including Party, Raid (TBA), Boss and Arena frames
  • Movable frames using /lmf

- Feedback
  • If you have any question regarding the layout please leave a comment in the comment section of this addon.
  • For bug reports and feature request please use Github.

Is it possible for you to share your updated version? I am no coder myself and I really want to use this UI again.

Hi, So Rest is represented by the zZz at the top of the player Frame.
Combat is represented by the Small Lightning bolt to the left of the player frame too.
Also, the resource bar do you mean the one at the center of the screen?

Hi, think I've only built it to track Debuffs.
I do plan to do that with the one I'm developing. But I want to integrate it into the action bar itself, an inline aura tracker a bit like Adi Auras.

Hey guys. Still in the works.

Sorry it is taking a bit, not very far away now for the first release. But there will be still things to do.

Still missing party / raid frames (going to do Raid frames this time). Minimap, some bars, etc, etc.

Current iteration:

This will be released under a new addon and I will leave oUF_Lumen LumUI for archive reasons and probably archive LumUI.

Hi there, sorry lmf and such is broken, it uses an old pluging for oUF to make frames movable but I think some stuff is just broken. I'm in the process of creating a new UI and will have it's own movers so it's easy to reposition stuff.

I will be looking forward to the new LumUI and see how I can continue to use the unit frames with whitelisting timers in the future. Take your time, as said, it is yours! For now, the frames work well for me, and if there's something small breaking for whatever reason, I can edit the LUA-files to fix them.
My idea is actually to make all of that possible, actually even work well, since now.. some stuff on LumUI is flat out broken if you try to customize it.

So installing LumenUI and just enabling what you want will be easier.
I might even create default layouts, like Compact, Wide and such and then you select on a config.lua what you want, then you can override positions etc.
Considering adding a way to drag everything ingame too and save it per character.

Thanks for your support!

Not sure it still works as I think it should... Though, I've been running, as boomkin, more AoE oriented build for Torghast and Dungeons.

I will be looking forward to the new LumUI and see how I can continue to use the unit frames with whitelisting timers in the future. Take your time, as said, it is yours! For now, the frames work well for me, and if there's something small breaking for whatever reason, I can edit the LUA-files to fix them.

I don't think so as the work to keep both working separately is quite a bit. It's 2 release workflows, 2 addons to update. And I intend to have a base functionality to use on the frames and the rest of the UI.

What I'm going to do it's make it very easy to just use the frames, or the frames and the minimap, etc.
Right now the UI package is kinda of an afterthought that came up because I don't like addons that need configuration, I like to just unzip my UI and it works for all characters, maybe change some lines in Lua that I can save between installs, but I had to have to press too many buttons and spend time configuring checkboxes (that's why I don't like weak auras and all that stuff people use nowadays).

But answering your question, it should be pretty easy to just use the frames.
Right now in LumUI there are bugs disabling stuff which I've been postponing forever and the right time as come.

I'm now in the process of re-writting from scratch my WoW Inteface, LumUI.
It will be called LumenUI actually.
oUF_Lumen will be merged into the UI.

I do intend to have only 1 addon published and 1 code repo.

Do bear with me while I build this new interface if you are interested in my current interface.

oUF_Lumen, save some little edge cases and bugs for all the recent changes I did, was written from scratch by and maintained by me.

My WoW addons though are a collection of other sources mixed with my code. For instance the bars are rActionBars which haven't been maintained in the last couple of years.
In order to catch up with this technical debt I've decided to re-write everything from scratch and merge LumUI and oUF_Lumen into a single Addon (a la TukUI, ElvUI, LSUI, etc...).

Expect the same layout but will add some changes.

This will allow me to expand on the elements I support and to have confidence in present and future changes.
This might take I would say up to a month.

In the meantime I will only correct critical bugs as I concentrate on this next chapter for my Interface.

This Addon will eventually get archived in favor of the new one.

Stay well!

N.

Is there a way to disable ouf_lumen nameplates?
Yes, sure.

Just add this to your config.lua

Lua Code:
  1. cfg.units.nameplate.show = false
