Features
* rectangle shape
* built in latency, fps and clock display (can be disabled in dRecMap\dRecMap.lua)
* calendar frame on middle click or /cl, /calendar
* tracking on right click
* hides unwanted minimap buttons
* LFD Tooltip will stay on the screen, no matter where you place the map
* mousewheel zoom
* optionally changes position of the Quest tracker (can be disabled)
* movable - Hold down Alt and left mouse button to move it around.
- position is saved in your Account\ACCOUNTNAME\REALMNAME\CHARNAME\layout-local.txt

Note
Some options can be found in "dRecMap\dRecMap.lua".
This package includes my dMedia (folder), which contains nothing more, but fonts and textures I use for my addons (including dRecMap). It's no addon itself.

Ty very much for this...been using your dMinimap 3 for a while now and been trying to get it do a rectangle map to fit into my UI better. So far everything works fine except for the fact that for some reason when I get close to the top of my screen the border keeps going up but the map starts to fold in on itself even though its i guess you would call 25pixels from the top of the screen.

That's unavoidable, atm. Due to the fact that a rectangle shape is not really supported. It needs a workaround.

Just don't place it to close to the edge of the screen.

/cry lol..oh well its just about where i want it...maybe 2-5 pixels too low but i'll deal for now.

Not sure if this will help but This UI has a rectangle shape minimap as well and i think his first version of the UI he had the minimap up closer to the screen. I'm still new to .lua so not sure if there is a workaround in the coding that you could use. Just a thought to try and help you out.

Again ty for this. Definitely loving the look it gives my UI.

Wonderful piece! Too bad it cannot be aligned to the screen gap but yeah, workaround denies it

Oh I almost forgot to point this out: but Group Calendar breaks when this addon is loaded. It cannot be loaded at all (The Calendar Window wont open at all)

Any error pop up? I don't use that addon myself. I'll look into it.

No error at all, which is strange enough, but middle clicking the map simply doesn't open the calendar window.

Also, it doesn't through your /cl or /calendar commands.

r2 is not showing any LFG or PVP queue buttons... just using the r1 again.

Really like the map.
r3 will fix this.

I'm using SetSize(aurasize, aurasize*0.8) in my buff mod to achieve this. Note, this is no working code - just the basics.

Having a small issue....

I'm trying to change the font for the infobar....I don't like and can't read pixel fonts. So I've copied a font i'd like to use into the dMedia folder. Changed the line in lua to reflect the font i'd like to use that i copied over using the exact name of the font. If I set the lua to use any font other than the 2 that is original to the dmedia folder I get a lua error in line 172 for text not set.

Additionally, can the scale be changed safely and can a background be added to the infobar?

**EDIT**

It appears that you have to exit the game and log back in for the font changes to take affect. Reloading the UI doesn't work :P

Trying to make the info panel solid black background but having no luck...

local backdropcolor = {0/255, 0/255, 0/255} -- backdrop color
local brdcolor = {0/255, 0/255, 0/255} -- backdrop border color
local infocolor = {0/255, 0/255, 0/255} -- info panel color

Am I overlooking something? I see this line in the create frame
FLMframeT:SetTexture(mediaFolder.."dO")

but I dont have a file in the dMedia named "dO" ...

The background is transparent, because of this line

set it to 1 and it'll be solid.

Edit: r4 will have an option for this and uses the generic plain white texture.

That's a general issue with WoW. You have to restart the client, if you add something that hasn't been there before while WoW is running. Changing or replacing something doesn't need a restart.

Widescreen + wide minimap = happy panda.
Edit: Found an error though... set my scale to 1.25 and now I have this happening when I try to make it flush with my screen edge:

Edit4: Errr, another problem I think I'll be sticking with a square map until this gets a bit more mature.
