BlkUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2.3B
by: Blacksad [More]

RESOLUTION: 1920X1080

A sleek looking, minimalist, all purpose Rogue UI.

Everything is set to track buffs/debuffs/procs/CD times in PvE and should require next to no setup.

Although this is set up to be Rogue specific, you can simply use any character class.

For PvP target defensive cooldowns are tracked via Weakauras, and personal CC abilities via icons above nameplates.

Let me know if you have any questions.

(Ctrl click Skada button to reset data)

Directions:

The person who downloads this has to unpack everything using an application which can unzip folders (Winzip, etc.), and then put all the folders in his / her World of Warcraft folder.

Copy your current WTF/Interface folders to your desktop to back them up before installing.

You then place the downloaded WTF/Interface folders into your Wow directory in their place.

When you download this, edit the folders to rename them from the generic "Account Name", "Server", "Character" to your actual accountname - the same goes for the server- and characternames. Do this first, before you even load up the game. Otherwise, the settings for everything will not take, and you may have to do it over to get everything working properly.

Upon entering game, make sure all addons are enabled! Make sure "Load out of date Addons" is checked!!!

Once loaded with all addons enabled, you will get a pop-up asking if you want to install BlkUI. Choose "Yes", and you should be pretty much good to go.

If any profiles for specific addons have issue loading, you may choose the Blk_UI profile for said addon.

You can then copy your bindings-cache.wtf and macros-cache.txt in from your backed up desktop folders, and keep your previous macros/keybindings.

Don't update Sharedmedia or Sharedmedia: Additional Fonts, as they it will overwrite the in-game font settings.

Addons Included:

Aurora, Bagnon, Bartender, Gnosis, Raven, Fonter, VuhDo, HideBossFrame, HideRaidFrame, Stuf Unit Frames, Reflux, SharedMedia, WeakAuras, Phanxchat, SexyMap, Skada, KgPanels, Tidyplates, Tiptac, DBM, HideBlizzardRaidFrame, Rogue Spam Reborn.

Changed loader to work correctly. (Thanks to Real of RealUI!)

Added in the option to toggle most of the UI on/off at will.

Redid boss frames to look better and have a castbar.

Lots of odds and ends.

At that point, instead of moving them with your mouse, id mess with the X/Y coordinates that are listed for each, as you can make it exact to what you need rather than eyeballing it. When you're done, lock panels.

So, in the center of the brackets are where your cooldowns go. Not buttons you press, but the abilities whose times you want to keep track of. There's an empty bartender bar there, and you put stuff on it.

The little button by the micro menu is for poisons.

The one on the very far right is for Mounts/Professions.

There's a photo on the main page which I've typed out what everything is.
Got it. Sorry, I didn't see where the screenshots were. They helped alot. Still tweaking, if I have anymore questions I will be back!

Okay, I solved almost all the problems I could find... only two left.

1) On Mouse-over the placard that comes up with name, lvl, faction, etc... it overlaps with other stuff. How do I move that to a better place?

2) Action bar #9 is supposed to be cooldowns right? I can't figure out how to get anything to show up there except a normal bar where you place buttons.

1: You can go into Tiptac (/tiptac) and mess with the tooltip location and look, etc.

2: You have to manually pull the CD's from your spellbook that you want to track and place them on the bar. It IS just a normal bar where you place buttons. It isn't intended to be a bar you click/hotkey. The UI is designed to be played with no actionbars showing. Raven will show the time remaining CD text over these buttons.

XP bar

Like the UI a lot. I had to change some of the fonts, as I found them hard on the eyes, but overall it's very nice. One question though. I am leveling my rogue and can't seem to find the XP bar. Is it somewhere cooked into the UI? Or can I add it back in somehow?

Thanks, I appreciate it.

XP bar is disabled by default. I always found it a moot point because you can't control how much xp you gain anyway. You just level.

You can turn it on in Stuf options if you'd like.

Cool, I guess I just like the visual aide. Thanks, I'll look in the Stuf options.

Hello, if you want to add in the default xp bar, all you have to do is go /bt and scroll through the listed bars. There should be an option for experience bar somewhere in there. When you go in, ensure that the box marked "enabled" is checked. Then, if you want to move it to a better spot just click "unlock" and move it where you want.

The UI looks very nice, will give it a try when I get home. I recently returned to playing rogue so this looks like a nice refreshment for a newly dinged 90

Issue loading UI

Hi there, I followed the installation instructions to the T. And this is what I ended up with:

I made sure all addons are enabled, even outdated ones. I renamed the folders before logging in. And I did that reflux switch command as well. This is the most perfect Rogue UI I have ever seen and I am dying to use it! Any idea what I may be doing wrong?
