Stuf is a replacement to StellarUF. Stuf has the same initial layout and feel of StellarUF, but Stuf is highly customizable.



Do not expect much since this mod's purpose is to replace the Blizzard's main unit frames, not other unit frame mods. I'll most likely deny requests to copy random features.

Noteworthy Recent Additions:

How to Use:
  • Basic - make sure Stuf_Options is enabled; it's required for initializing defaults and changing settings
  • Options menu - "/stuf" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
  • Hide party in raid - Stuf obeys Blizzard's option to "Hide Party Interface in Raid"
  • Show/Hide elements - many are hidden/shown by setting the alpha or color alpha to zero
  • Slider nudging - (bug Ace3 people for a better way), I do the following:
    1. Move your cursor over the text above the slider, a tooltip should be showing.
    2. Move your cursor up until the tooltip disappears.
    3. Left-click.
    4. Move your cursor back over the slider until the tooltip reappears.
    5. Now you can nudge using mouse wheel.
  • For sliders, you can also manually input values and press enter.
  • Many options, so I suggest checking each option one-by-one
  • StufRaid:
    • Options menu - "/stufraid" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
    • Basic - StufRaid does not require Stuf, and Stuf does not require StufRaid
    • Special text - install UTF8 to support special characters for the name text sub-string feature

Features Lacking (forever):
  • No profiles, but you can save per character. Profiles would at least double the memory usage (plus more for each profile you create) of Stuf due to its massive saved variables. Check out Reflux to add profiles options to Stuf and other mods.
  • Showing raid instead of party frames when in a party.
  • Advanced buff/debuff filtering for main units.
  • Switching frames when in vehicle
  • Full-featured casting bar (no GCD, breathe, cooldowns, etc)
  • Anything that would really kill performance and lack usefulness
  • Anything for which already has a great standalone mod
  • Anything picky about text that can be done using Lua text
  • Color health bars if mob is tapped

Known Issues:
  • You cannot right-click Stuf's player buff icon to cancel shape-shift forms (ie. druid forms and shadow form) since they're protected now.

Not sure if I fixed the range issue. Test it out. If still persists, nothing I can do since PTR is not being nice to me.

Anyone know what Text Pattern/Tag should I be using if I want my Current Power (fury) to hide when it's at zero but show up when above that? And also, what tag/text pattern can make my target show health % when alive but when it dies, it just displays DEAD? I got it working by using

but I'd rather not color the text grey every time I want to do that. Also, how do I abbreviate names in Stuff? As in 'Elereth Renferal' becomes 'Elereth R.' or 'E. Renferal' if it exceeds a certain character size limit?

Before this last update action bar guis for vehicle battles (Su'esh, bombing moonguard, etc.) and pet battles worked great. Utilizing the default Blizzard UI for those items. After this last version whenever I pet battle the Blizzard UI loads but I have no option to choose a pet and there is a colored rectangle (bordered) that is off-center.

I use stuf and dominos for bars. Not sure if it's Stuf or another addon. Figured I'd start here.

Update: it's working now so must have been something other than an addon as I've not updated any recently.

Hello

First off, Awesome addon!

There is however an issue with the range check. The target only changes opacity when out of range when I'm on a druid. On all the other classes it stays at full opacity no matter what i do

Any help?

I'm having a problem with the range indicator in the raid frames whilst in raids not working properly. People who are next to me are faded and showing as out of range, the only work around for this is to make all peoples out of range indicator being set at 1 value, but its not ideal as I can't see who is out of range.

Arena Frames

Having an issue with arena frames not loading until I type /stuf. Getting to be pretty annoying when every time I log on I have to load the frames I want to use.

And to add to it, the names are accurate when flags are picked up in battlegrounds for the first time, but after it uses the names of the first flag carriers but changes portraits. I will try to grab screenshots later.

I went through the options and nothing stuck out to me on what would cause it. Any ideas? Great addon though.

Missing Arcane Mage Power Bar

So recently "arcane charges" for mages are displayed similar to combo points for rogues and runes for DKs, I noticed that the bar doesn't show yet in STUF nor is there a way I can figure out how to make it show up or be moveable.

Was just wondering if this is something that can be added.

The other question I had was I was curious if STUF can show an "overshield" on your health bar, like if you have a barrier can it show a highlight of your current health so you can see how much shield you have left?

Stuffed if I know now. Just checked DK and it appears fine with Stuf/Raven running. Maybe Raven updated something.

Thanks for updating it so quickly.

The icon shows but is cut off. Increasing the size only stretches it.



Update:

Deleted the
f.texture:SetTexCoord(0, 0.65, 0, 0.65)
in icons.lua line 527
and it shows up correctly:

Narrowed down the Rune issue to a silent conflict with Raven. No errors thrown.

Which funnily enough is the add-on I would recommend to replace auras on stuf if you want button facade support lol. So in my case its either stuf runes or masque auras, but not both.

Updated. I couldn't reproduce many of the issues reported.

I tried to add Prestige badge but was unable to test. Someone let me know if it works or not.

The Runes issue isn't happening for me. Please try disabling other mods to see if it still occurs.

Stuf no longer supports ButtonFacade/Masque. I could not keep up with their changes.

how can the aura borders be changed? i believe there has been masque/button facade support in the past, but i just cant find the option to activate it and stuf doesent show up in masque
