This is falsely marked as compatible with 3.3.

In 3.2 the possibility to override certain parts of the mpqs (including the login screen) was removed.

Jooze: Wrong, this works with 3.3, at least for me. Test it by yourself if you don't belive.

Already have. Put this in every possible folder, it doesn't work.

And yes, I used to code a complete vanilla login screen before 3.2, and even talked to a GM about it.

It doesn't work.

Put it there. Doesn't work.

Also it doesn't matter if I use the Launcher or not, or run it as an Administrator.

This does not swap your login SCREEN! This mod only swaps login music to vanilla music.

I'm well aware of that. I'm getting the normal old ugly wrath music.

I just said you're using the same principle to override the mpqs here that I used to use when overriding the complete screen. A GM confirmed to me this was blocked in 3.2..

But obviously it works for some doesn't it?

Ah got it now. Seems like WinRar destroyed the filepath within the AddOn...

Well works now. Sorry to have bothered you.

Also thank you for proving to me that that stupid GM lied.

GMs are, most of the time, clueless of stuff outside of their department. If you gave an item to the wrong person (well, before you could trade loot, anyway), if a quest mob is evading, if you are unable to receive a quest item, the GM's your man, but don't expect them to know the license agreement, Terms of Use or game mechanics by heart, or why your addons doesn't work.

Overriding model files in MPQ archives has not been possible for years. Sound and textures for example, can still be overriden, however.

Well this GM was not completely misinformed. While model editing has been impossible for some time, until Patch 3.2 you could override certain texture files in the MPQs, apparently deemed "unimportant" by Blizzard.

This included the texture files for the Login Screen.

That was indeed fixed in Patch 3.2.

Looks (sounds?) great as a mod, gonna try it when I get home from work. One question I have is does this overwrite any specific files? I ask because if it does I want to back-up the file it overwrites in case I want to go back to the original. Thanks.

No, it dosen't overwrite any files. So just take Sound folder out of wow folder, then again you have the old music.
