LightHeaded is a very simple addon that displays quest information and comments from http://www.wowhead.com in game, eliminating the need to Alt-Tab when you get stuck on quest. This addon was inspired by qcomments and wowhead_quests, which both serve a similar purpose. Data is only loaded when you first request it, so you can be sure you're not using more memory than you need to.

I HIGHLY suggest using this addon with TomTom, another one of my addons (http://www.wowinterface.com/download...32-TomTom.html ). This allows you to simply click any coordinate in LightHeaded to add it to your map as a waypoint.

The following slash commands are valid:
  • /lh attach - Attaches the frame to the quest log
  • /lh detach - Detaches the frame, allows you to resize and move it
  • /lh sound - Toggles the open/close sound
  • /lh page - Toggles showing all comments on one page, or with multiple pages
  • /lh bgalpha <0.0-1.0> - Changes the alpha of the LH window background textures, so you can see the world.
  • /lh debug - Enables or disabled debug messages when loading quest databases
  • /lh config - Opens the LightHeaded configuration window
  • /lh autodetails - Toggle automatic opening of the Lightheaded window when clicking a quest in the objective tracker

LightHeaded now includes the English descriptions and introductory text for most of the quests in the game. This is disabled by default, but can be enabled for those players that are not playing in their native locale.

LightHeaded supports sending coordinates to TomTom, MapNotes, Cartographer2 and Cartographer3.

IMPORTANT: Addon authors that wish to use this API and data should
include the wowhead logo in the frame that displays this information.
They are kind enough to let me continue parsing their database, and we
owe them at least that much. Thank you.

Do you have a schedule of when you parse?

Or when do you next plan to parse & update the comments?

J/W so I know when to check in for a new update.

EDIT: Oh I forgot, you previously said something about getting e-mails for updated "favorites."

Although, that hasn't happened for me yet. Most likely because I haven't had a favorite updated yet.

Every Tuesday, give or take.. I have to adjust for their last code change, but I should be able to get one out on Tues, if not before.

Cartographer_Notes

Love the addon, thank you for the development.

The one thing I would like is for clicked co-ordinates to go into Cartographer_Notes instead of Waypoints. I always prefer to fill a new area with mapnotes before I begin questing, it enables me to better plan my quest path and just make things faster; as it is, waypoints personally don't do anything for me. I believe I found the code in LightHeaded.lua which adds waypoints, but I haven't the slightest clue how to add mapnotes instead.

At this point I don't have any plans to support Cart_Notes directly, but I'll look into it. I suggest using TomTom, as it should accomplish exactly what you're looking for.

I've installed TomTom and it is indeed working just as I'd want it. As I have much of TomTom's functionality coming from other addons, however, I -- and I'm sure many others -- would still appreciate Cartographer support. Automated noteshare is one of the things I miss.

To fix the errors when you click on the Previous Page and Next Page buttons when there are no quests in the log, I added an if lhframe.current_page ~= nil condition before self:UpdateFrame(lhframe.title, lhframe.level, lhframe.current_page - 1), and also before self:UpdateFrame(lhframe.title, lhframe.level, lhframe.current_page + 1).

The buttons should be hidden instead, and I believe I have this fixed locally. If not, I'll make sure I do :P

Incompatabilities

I was having trouble getting Lightheaded to run so I disabled all my mods (at which point it worked) and carefully reapplied them until I found out what the culprit was.

Seems that Lightheaded does not play nicely with the Party Quests add-on from the Cosmos suite (http://www.cosmosui.org/addons.php?info=PartyQuests).

I'm using CT_Core with LightHeaded right now. You will have to supply more details.

I am using Bayi's Extended Questlog, and when I try to use LH, the window appears behind the log and cannot open it to have it slide out. If I detach it I of course cannot move it around to where I need it, but would like it to be accessible when I have it attached to this mod quest log

Which version of BEQL are you using? I can't really do anything to fix this.
