myAutoMacro

Version: 1.2.2
by: Istaran [More]

Description
myAutoMacro creates in game macros (automacros) that will be switched automatically upon defined conditions. Currently, automacros can be updated by zone changes and NPC identification.

What’s hot?
A new frame that summarizes current associations for every automacro is now available. Click the top-left button in the config window or type /mam show to pop up the frame.

In details
myAutoMacro works as a stand-alone addon and comes with all Cataclysm dungeon and raid preloaded. Dungeon and raid bosses are considered as special NPC and thus have reinforced detection conditions.
myAutoMacro allows you to create as much macro as you want and stores all your macros in a global library shared among all your characters. You can then associate a given macro with a boss, a zone or an NPC in a dedicated option tab. Each time you enter in this zone or meet this boss or NPC, the automacro is updated with the macro you have previously associated with. Automacros can be found in the general tab of WoW macro UI with the name starting with mAM#n_ where n is the automacro number.

As macro can only be edited out of combat. In case a macro should be switched when you are in combat, the associated macro will be queued and the automacro will be updated as soon as possible. Boss and NPC association has prevalence over zone association. Consequently, an automacro will be updated for boss or NPC association if necessary even if you set up an association for your current zone location.

myAutoMacro has a bunch of other very useful features to help you get the most of the addon. You can add new zones and new NPCs to be detected. Tools are included to help you achieve this. Macros can be exchanged with other myAutoMacro users. You can create an in game macro from any macros stored in your library.

Feature summary
* up to 5 automacros with automatic conditional switching
* in combat queue system
* Cataclysm bosses preloaded
* Cataclysm dungeons and raids preloaded
* global macro library
* zones and NPCs adding tools
* macro sharing tools
* advanced icon search feature (English only)
* other useful small features

Configuration and usage
Configuration can be accessed following Game menu > Interface > Addons > myAutoMacro or by typing /mam config or /myAutoMacro config in the game chat.
Some other functions can be accessed by chat command. Please type /mam help to get a list.

General tab
You will find self-explanatory options plus a tool to immediately switch an automacro to a desired macro.

Automacro tab
Set associations between NPCs or zones and macros for each automacros in this tab.
First select a type (Boss, NPC or zone) then a zone type and a zone. For convenience bosses and NPCs are stored in their relevant zones. However, this does not have any influence over the detection. Select then the encounter or the NPC if necessary and select the macro you want to associate with the selection. Finally press “Associate!” button. Press “Clear!” button to remove an association.

Macro library tab
Use this tab to create a new macro or edit an existing one. Options are self-explanatory. You will also find in this tab tools to create an in game macro from a macro stored in your library.
About macro deletion: If you happen to delete a macro, this will affect all your characters as the library is shared among all your characters. Besides, this will remove every association using this macro across all your characters.

Broadcast tab
You will find here options to send and receive macros from other players. A blacklist is provided if it happens that a player is spamming you.

Custom NPC and Custom zones tabs
Use these options to add a new zone or a new NPC to the addon library. Tools are provided to help you identify zones and NPC IDs and to manage the library. Again, if you delete a custom zone or a custom NPC, this will affect all you characters and all potential association implicating that zone or NPC as the library is shared among all your characters. So be careful!
About storing options: You can store a new custom NPC in any zone, even if this NPC is not present in this zone. Detection will still work. Selected zone here is only provided to help you retrieve a NPC when you associate a macro with him. You can move a NPC to another zone if you are not satisfied with your first choice. Same applies for zones and zonetype.
If you delete a custom zone in which a custom NPC is stored, the NPC will be automatically moved to the “Anywhere” zone. This has no implication on the association between this NPC and a macro.

Localization
myAutoMacro will work with any client language. Options and addon messages are localized in English and French. If you are willing to add localization in your own language, please send me a PM.

Known bugs
Detection of Warmaster Blackhorn and Spine of Deathwing encounters is quite hard. Currently you will encounter a bug if you play in LFR for a second time in a given week. If you have a macro associated with Blackhorn and another one associated with Spine, the automacro will be switched to the Spine macro upon your second run of the LFR even if your current encounter is Blackhorn.

Ouch! I need some aspirin now

No, you will encounter the bug only if you run through these 2 bosses in LFR with the same character.
Blizz provides to the UI only your saved status in instances (which contains the number of bosses defeated) or if you can loot the boss. The first one is bugged in LFR, I suppose because you have actually no ID, the second one does the job the first time only as every following run you cannot loot the boss even if you didn't kill it yet.
If anyone knows a way or function of the API that tells you the number of boss defeated in any kind of instances that I missed, I'll take it!

Small question if I may!

Normally I never run the same toon through there twice, but I do have several toons that I run through each week. Does this bug only affect one toon if it's ran through twice? Or does the addon see more than one toon being ran through each once as being ran through more than once?

I think I confused myself lol.. did I make any sense?
