You can do some pretty crazy effects. Some of my UI collegues like this castbar animation:
http://img3.imagebanana.com/img/x7xf350n/testani.gif

This is no problem. You would have to do 3 things to reach that look.

- Create a texture that you like or try the one I created for this:
http://rothui.googlecode.com/svn/tru...r_filling1.tga or
http://rothui.googlecode.com/svn/tru...r_filling2.tga
- Change the texture of the castbar to the new one
- Change the framelevel and the alpha (SetAlpha()) of the castbar to be above the orbs and semitransparent.

p.s. Every orb needs a friend

is there anyway you could take the orbs from this http://www.wowinterface.com/download...ablo3Orbs.html and have the tyreal and diablo orbs as they are take the place of thr gryphons on the default blizzard action bars? if you could that would be the most amazing bar mod i could ask for. i used to use huds till i got ahold of that mod but i don't like action bar replacements like the one i'm forced to use.

That is the point why I am doing all this. Anything can be done right now. The problem with the old animation was the setposition of the animation. It bugged in some instances and when you moved the orb the animation was bigger than the orb and looked ugly.

But you can give it a try. You need to change the SetPosition() and the SetModelScale() in oUF_Orbs to the one I used in Diablo3Orbs.

You could use a tiny mod called ArtHider or GryphonHider to hide the default gryphons or just add
Code:
  MainMenuBarLeftEndCap:Hide()
  MainMenuBarRightEndCap:Hide()
somewhere in the code of rFader.

After that you could use rFader and place the angel and the demon whereever you want.

the thing about that is i have no idea how to do any of this. if it doesn't have a "drag and drop" type of set up like bartender3 or bongos3 then i have no idea on how to do anything. i found squidmod but it's not what i'm looking for but it's close lol. i love the orbs you have from http://www.wowinterface.com/download...ablo3Orbs.html and all i reall want to do with them is place them where the gryphons are now. i have no clue on .lua files or anything my comp cann't open them or anything. not trying to be a pain or anything but kinda hoping since you know what your doing and i'm clueless you might be able to do it.

Download LuaEdit, its a free lua editor. If you want the cool look you will have to look into the lua files.

i 2nd TyrannisNorg.
i dont know anything at all about lua. some ouf unitframes and orbs in particular look very nice but the absence of an even basic ingame config scares me away.
if there isnt any or wont be any ingame config, could you please supply the files needed so my unitframes looks like the exemple given (http://s.wowinterface.com/preview/pvw18437.jpg)? is it possible to have numeric values displayed on or below the orbs?

The toc files tells WoW what lua files belong to the mod. Additionally it sets savedvariables, dependencies and so on. For more information Google for "wow api".

You need a graphic program to change graphics (TGA files). Try Gimp (its free) or if you can afford it pay 25bucks buy Photoshop 6.0.

i used the continued mod of statrings, sm_unitframes. sorry to say that was also discontinued when tbc was released. cant even find it now. i really liked the cleanlyness of it AND the fact it also used rings on partymembers and pets.

from your latest screenies i like the coloring of the orb in classcolors very much.

keep it up, i'm sure this will be the unitframes of total awesomeness

ps. excuse me for my english, it is not my native language.

i cant see any animation anymore on the orbs, intended?
