Stuf Unit Frames (and Raid)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 9.2.101
by: totalpackage, Uitat

Stuf is a replacement to StellarUF. Stuf has the same initial layout and feel of StellarUF, but Stuf is highly customizable.

Do not expect much since this mod's purpose is to replace the Blizzard's main unit frames, not other unit frame mods. I'll most likely deny requests to copy random features.

Noteworthy Recent Additions:

  • Option to only show custom text on mouse-over
  • Latency indicator for player casting bar
  • Arena Frames
  • ButtonFacade support for aura icons
  • Option to use Lua instead of text patterns for advanced users
  • Option to save per character

Supported Units:
  • Player, pet, and pet target
  • Target, target of target, and target of target of target
  • Focus and target of focus
  • Party with their pets and targets
  • Arena with their pets and targets (new in v3.1.005)
  • StufRaid - main raid, raid pets, and raid roles (tanks/assist) and their target and target of target (does not and will not support oRA2/CTRA MT/PT)

Notable Features:
  • Easy transition from Blizzard default frames
  • Cast bars for the main units
  • Dispellable debuff visual
  • Target and focus timer bars for your buffs/debuffs
  • Threat bars on target and focus
  • Shaman totem timers, Death Knight rune bars, and Druid mana bar
  • Low memory and CPU usage compared to popular unit frame mods
  • Customization similar to Discord Unit Frames
  • LibSharedMedia-3.0 support for textures and fonts
  • Ace3 dialog config is used for the options GUI
  • Stuf_Range - LibRangeCheck-2.0 support for estimated distance on target and focus
  • Clique support for click-casting
  • ClassColors custom class color and ConfigMode support for one-button-config
  • ButtonFacade support for aura icon skins (may be buggy)

How to Use:
  • Basic - make sure Stuf_Options is enabled; it's required for initializing defaults and changing settings
  • Options menu - "/stuf" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
  • Hide party in raid - Stuf obeys Blizzard's option to "Hide Party Interface in Raid"
  • Show/Hide elements - many are hidden/shown by setting the alpha or color alpha to zero
  • Slider nudging - (bug Ace3 people for a better way), I do the following:
    1. Move your cursor over the text above the slider, a tooltip should be showing.
    2. Move your cursor up until the tooltip disappears.
    3. Left-click.
    4. Move your cursor back over the slider until the tooltip reappears.
    5. Now you can nudge using mouse wheel.
  • For sliders, you can also manually input values and press enter.
  • Many options, so I suggest checking each option one-by-one
  • StufRaid:
    • Options menu - "/stufraid" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
    • Basic - StufRaid does not require Stuf, and Stuf does not require StufRaid
    • Special text - install UTF8 to support special characters for the name text sub-string feature

Features Lacking (forever):
  • No profiles, but you can save per character. Profiles would at least double the memory usage (plus more for each profile you create) of Stuf due to its massive saved variables. Check out Reflux to add profiles options to Stuf and other mods.
  • Showing raid instead of party frames when in a party.
  • Advanced buff/debuff filtering for main units.
  • Switching frames when in vehicle
  • Full-featured casting bar (no GCD, breathe, cooldowns, etc)
  • Anything that would really kill performance and lack usefulness
  • Anything for which already has a great standalone mod
  • Anything picky about text that can be done using Lua text
  • Color health bars if mob is tapped

Known Issues:
  • You cannot right-click Stuf's player buff icon to cancel shape-shift forms (ie. druid forms and shadow form) since they're protected now.

Yeah, I found out how to make it work for me.
However it wouldn't hurt to put it in the 'info' tab so people can read about it, unless this is really common practice about Parent Frames and such.
Sorry for the bother but thanks for the reply. I'll make this addon work

Are you sure it's because StufRaid is disabled? I just tested that and got no error. Does the error occur for all units with Visual Heal bars, or just specific ones?

Re: Re: Re: My Debuffs

Hi totalpackage, I just have to ask this as it's the only feature I cannot find in this awesome unitframe mod...

I have found in Global > Background List > Background and then I can select a backdrop that successfully shows, but it shows the same for all of the unitframes.
Is there any plan on making it possible to create different backdrops for each unitframe?

This is my UI pack: http://www.wowinterface.com/download...?id=13802#info , and I have the target unitframe be different from the rest. This is basically the only thing that holds me switch DiscordUnitFrames (old as hell) to yours.
It's not a request as I can only imagine the amount of work spent on this, but just asking if I should keep an eye on Stuf.

T.L.D.R: Will Stuf ever get artwork that can vary from unitframes, so they're not all the same and shared?

EDIT: I found out about the wonders of Parent Frame, no worries ^^;

For now, Blizzard always report your own buffs/debuffs first in the list, so you can limit the number of debuffs shown to maybe 4-5 and enable showing the cooldown pie on your own debuffs. Also, you can disable Debuffs entirely and just use the Aura Timer Bars (which only shows your buffs/debuffs).

Edit: Added "Show Only Mine" option in latest version. Wasn't as complex as I thought.
Wow.. I never realized that.. thanks for the quick response.. That will make it so much eaiser.

My Debuffs

Have to say I love this unit mod. Really a nice piece of work. Thank You!

Question: Is there anyway to show only my debuffs on mobs. Mostly I would like to do this on Raid/Instance Bosses. I am a hunter and would like to see when Serpent Sting is expiring but when the boss has 20-30 debuffs on him and your trying to follow a rotation it can be difficult.

Thanks again for your efforts.

Make sure you have chosen the correct "Push" setting for buffs, debuffs, aura timers, or casting bar.

First of all, awesome addon, just downloaded today and I'm loving it. Just one problem =)

I can't seem to get the ButtonFacade skins working for buffs/debuffs (I assume that's what's meant by auras. This is the one feature I really missed with Pitbull, so maybe I was reading what I wanted to read In that case, sorry).

There is no option to select borders, in either Buff Icons, Debuff Icons or Aura Timers (I think it's called). Tried just switching the global border in ButtonFacade, but that didn't help either.

Edit: Bugsack isn't showing me any errors either.

Edit 2: Also noticed the same thing as Fru (poster above), but for me it happened with the target frame.

Edit 3: Found the way to set ButtonFacade for buffs/debuffs. I'm feeling a little bit stupid now

Yea, I still had this old Stuf_IncomingHeals folder.. so I deleted all Stuf files from my Addons folder and redownloaded. Now I'm getting an error message when pressing Config Mode:

Interface\AddOns\Stuf_VisualHeal\core.lua:271: attempt to index local 'dbu' (a nil value)

Also, the config mode is not showing anything to config.

When Stuf_VisualHeals is disabled it works flawelessly.

Config not working.

Is it just me or is the config mode not working properly? Atm it only shows 1 party frame when I press the config mode button. In addition it doesn't show any arena frames even I should have them shown.

Also, I can't find any option to enable Buttonfacade for the auras, even it stands on the addon page that BF support is added.

Should I maybe delete all my Stuf files and redownload? I just extracted this version on top of the old one I had..

Try hiding all the individual raid headers. I haven't tried it myself, but it should work.
