Introduction:
Neuron is a macro-based action bar addon. It can stand on its own or supplement any other action bar addon, including even the default Blizzard UI.

Neuron is the continuation of the Ion Action Bars project, however, due to incompatible changes, your profiles from Ion cannot be directly used on Neuron.

Neuron is in active development, and as such there is the possibility of bugs, quirks, and rough edges. Please bear with me as I do my best to make Neuron as stable and full featured as it can be; however, as my time is limited, help and support is always appreciated.

Theme Support:
Neuron inherits all theming courtesy of the Masque addon. Neuron has full Masque compatibility, and the theming options found in Masque are quite in-depth, not to mention the robust portfolio of skins made to support Masque. In short, you can make your bars look any way you like!

Features:
  • Neuron features an unlimited number of macros. You can create as many bars/buttons as you want/need per character!
  • Are you a clicker extraordinaire? As many buttons on the screen you want where you want, when you want!
  • Macros the size of Texas! Up to 1024 characters in length!
  • Maul's unique mouse-over key-binding system - where the mouse-over binding system was born!
  • Many other of the favorite desired bar addon features and then some!
  • And, last but not least, MASQUE support!

Graphical Editor:
Neuron contains a graphical bar editor that allows for nearly endless customization to bar shape, size, orientation, and much more! Further, Neuron has neither the limitations on max number of bars nor on the max number of buttons per bar, as you might find in addons such as Bartender4 or Dominoes.

If the command line is your thing, all of the options found in the graphical bar editor can also be set using the below command structure.

Commands:
Type /neuron alone to display a list of available commands, which are:
  • menu: Toggle the main menu
  • create: Create a blank bar
  • delete: Delete the currently selected bar
  • config: Toggle configuration mode for all bars
  • add: Adds buttons to the currently selected bar (add or add #)
  • remove: Removes buttons from the currently selected bar (remove or remove #)
  • edit: Toggle edit mode for all buttons
  • bind: Toggle binding mode for all buttons
  • scale: Scale a bar to the desired size.
  • snapto: Toggle SnapTo for current bar
  • autohide: Toggle AutoHide for current bar
  • shape: Change current bar's shape
  • name: Change current bar's name
  • strata: Change current bar's frame strata
  • alpha: Change current bar's alpha (transparency)
  • alphaup: Set current bar's conditions to 'alpha up'
  • arcstart: Set current bar's starting arc location (in degrees)
  • arclen: Set current bar's arc length (in degrees)
  • columns: Set the number of columns for the current bar
  • padh: Set current bar's horizontal padding
  • padv: Set current bar's vertical padding
  • padhv: Adjust both horizontal and vertical padding of the current bar incrementally
  • showgrid: Toggle the current bar's showgrid flag
  • x: Change current bar's horizontal axis position
  • y: Change current bar's vertical axis position
  • state: Toggle states for the current bar (/neuron state <state>). Type /neuron statelist for vaild states
  • statelist: Print a list of valid states
  • load: Load a profile
  • lock: Lock buttons

Vehicle Bar

The default vehicle bar is popping up instead of the Neuron one when checked. Even the keybinds are ignored when the default pops up.

Using the latest release.

Hrm, I wasn't aware that that you couldn't keybind the extra action button. It sounds like a bug

hrm i seem to have like one profile that lets me keybind the extra action button, while the default profile isn't allowing me to bind it. was the ability to keybind it thru neuron keybind mode disabled and this one profile somehow managed to retain the ability? or am i missing a setting on the other profiles? i can copy the profile that can keybind the action bttuon to another profile and still be able to keybind, but new profiles even if i delete the extra action button and then create a new one still won't show up in keybind mode

Hi you can always report errors on the GitHub page, links to it are in the description.

I'll have to look into this, as to be honest I don't really use the custom States option at all, so it hasn't been thoroughly tested. For the time being, you can creat the ctrl alt and shift states by selecting them from the option list. I just don't think there's anything set for altshift as of right now

Custom Bar States

Hi, first time post, long time user. Thanks so much for continuing this excellent addon!

So I have been trying to create new bars with custom bar states to no avail. My old bars with custom states from a few versions back have retained their desired functionality, but new attempts wont stick. I just came back to WoW after having not played for about a year. With the latest version of Neuron, hidden bars don't stay hidden between sessions. Please fix this if possible. Thank you for all the hard work!

Am I correct in thinking that setting a bar to not show Spell Alerts should mean buttons don't glow when triggered by an event? Because that doesn't seem to be working currently. Posted the bug here: https://github.com/brittyazel/Neuron/issues/150

Interesting, I'm aware of the issues with flyouts. The flyouts have been the bane of my existence since taking over the addon heh. I'll fix it at some point in the near future.

As for the warrior, I have to test it. I have a warrior now so I can see it for myself

No that's a BfA change on Blizzards end that I haven't yet fixed. Since it is't breaking anything it hasn't been at the top of my list

for some reason, when I enter a vehicle, I'm getting the default vehicle UI popping up over my bars. The bars look like they switched to vehicle mode and are acting correctly with the correct vehicle buttons. I checked the Neuron options and that checkbox is unchecked for Displaying the Blizzard UI.

Is there some other setting I'm missing?
