This mod still works in the current Live WoW. Unfortunately it gets a bit buggy when you die and vertical lines of the same color as the rune the line comes from slowly trickle up your screen until you release or ressurect. Also, sometimes the runes won't look refreshed until you use them once after dying. Otherwise works fine if you don't die.

Really like this mod though, would be nice if someone picked it back up or the original author came back with a little update.

Any mod makers that would like to pick this mod up? It is by far the best rune mod out there, thanks to its simple, compact layout.

love this addon but i think you should add the option to remove the player frame's rune's

Changing the rune graphic is pretty simple, edit the .lua and use these. The only caveat is that SimpleRune does not use a death rune graphic. You will also need to fiddle with the rune colors in the in-game options window.

To use the default Blizzard runes:

SimpleRune is my favorite rune frame addon. The 2x3 layout with shortest cooldown on top makes it much more useful than the usual 1x6 layout.

If you plan on continuing to support it and are open to suggestions, here's my personal wish list:

• A text cooldown timer for each rune, ideally with ajustable size (relative to frame size), color, font and blinking period when nearing zero
• A short "glow" animation when a rune comes off cooldown, in the same way as for ability icons on the default action bars
• The option to choose between the current vertical fill animation and a Blizzard-style rotary fill animation
• The option to use Blizzard default rune graphics
