This is something I've used for a long time and keep meaning to polish it and release it; but it's becoming evident that I'm lazy enough that I probably never will, so here's the bare-bones version:

Chat Focus drops the chat edit box's focus on ctrl-tab, or when entering combat. i.e. if you're typing and want to use the keyboard for something else, you can press ctrl-tab to stop typing without clearing/hiding the chat input box.

Note that to get back to typing, you should click the box rather than pushing enter. This is basically because I don't care enough to fix it. Hopefully my posting this will get someone else to integrate the same kind of feature into a real chat mod (maybe there already is one?)

"/cfocus" toggles the ctrl-tab dropping
"/cfocus combat" toggles the entering-combat dropping
