SpeedyGonzales
Displays your current movement speed and (optionally) pitch in a small standalone frame or via an LDB feed.
- Usage:
/speedy - Toggles the frame
/speedy config - Opens configuration window
Absolute units are based on the following assumptions:
- Base running speed is 7 yards per second.
- 1 yard = 0.9144 meters.
- 1 mile = 1760 yards.

- Added option to display current top speed instead of current speed. (eg, will always show 100% when on the ground and not mounted, regardless of whether you're moving, 200% when ground mounted, etc)
- Added Broker tooltip displaying various movement speeds.
- Changed the border texture to a more modern look.

Hi,
I don't mean to dismiss your feedback, but I'm not getting any of those errors myself, and I'm not touching any of Blizzard's code, so this addon really shouldn't be the cause. Are you getting any errors in your UI? (I mean real errors, not error messages) Could you try without other addons enabled and see if you still get these errors?

Causing Interface Errors
I'm getting fairly frequent "Interface Action Failed due to AddOn" errors that seem to be caused by this addon. I don't want to stop using it because I love the angle indicator for flying. Any chance you can take a look at the log below and see about a fix?

Can you confirm, that by going back to 1.2.1, the CPU usage is significantly lower? Because I can't. I'm getting roughly the same CPU usage with both versions, using the addon you mentioned. I do plan to improve performance while not moving, however.

This used to be my favorite speed-gauge addon. Low resource usage, handled flying carpets correctly unlike a lot of mods like this. With v1.3.0, though, its got pretty bad CPU usage, whether moving or not moving.
v1.3.0, USEng client/server, WoW 3.1.1 live. Measured with OptionlessHouse with CPU profiling enabled, when a character is not moving & idle, SpeedyGonzales eats 0.350 to 0.500 CPU/sec. Running at regular speed (100%), 0.500 to 0.600 CPU/sec. |
