FAQ
Q: How do i access the Configuration?
A: You can open the configuration with the Slash Commands (/bt or /bar) or through the Bartender4 LDB plugin.

Q: Can Bartender4 import settings from Bartender3?
A: No. Those two mods are too different to be able to import settings.

Q: Where are my keybindings? And how do i bind new keys?
A: BT3 Keybindings will not be ported over either, you have to use the new KeyBound to re-bind your keys. You can access KeyBound by its slash command (/kb) or through the button in the BT4 config. Hover a button, press key → voila!

Q: CyCircled Support? I like my button skins?
A: No reason to cry! There is a sparkling new skinning addon/library out there! ButtonFacade is way easier to work with as a action-bar author, and its easier to write skins for it too! Alot of cyCircled Skins have already been ported to ButtonFacade, and more are on their way! After installing ButtonFacade just use its configuration to change the skin of the BT4 buttons (/bf)

It is MicroMenu. Make sure it's enabled and use positioning tab to get it to screen, it it's off.

I'll try the reset, but I do use Bar 1 for my possession bar as well.

Question Netbook use

Got a quick question I'm running wow on a small netbook off and on. I want to use BT4 in my interface but for some reason when I login after installing the add-on it doesn't show on my UI. My resolution is 1024x600 could this have anything to do with it?

Other mods I have installed run fine, xperl, pminimap, chatter, opie etc. But for some reason BT4 just won't run.

Any ideas?

Is it possible to make a bar only show on the condition that I have a target focussed?

Would it be unreasonable of me to ask for the addition of the ability to "Zoom" the totem bar as though it were any other bar given the option in bt4?

I do that to all my bars since it gets rid of the little border I'm not fond of ;-)

Autofade and Bartender4 Bars

I am trying to set bars to show on mouseover but be hidden when not mouseovere'd. I've looked up several guides on how to do this but it doesn't seem to be working.

On the bar in question I make sure it is enabled, go to Visibility and check Fade Out, set Fade Out alpha to 0 and Fade Out Delay to 1. I've tried many combinations of increasing Fade out Alpha, or decreasing the delay and the bars continue to refuse to hide and all of that.

Is there a step I am missing and I am just retarded as usual, or something else? any help would be appreciated, it's driving me nuts.

Notice, that if you want some extended functionality, you can always force already displayed (thus excluded) bars to appear in place of Bar1 by using direct access keybind ("Shift+<Bar Number>" for me.)

1/2 main bar primary/alternate bars.
4/3 - two right (vertical) bars. (3 is right-most, 4 is the one over it to the left)
5 - bottom-right additional bar.
6 - bottom-left one.

So... if you want similar behavior on all characters, make their settings similar.
Thank you for replying so quickly. Here is the solution:

You have to turn on the bars to display in the default UI. Since I was using bartender 4 I thought, who the heck needs those silly options, heh.

To do this hit esc and then click Interface.

Go to the Action Bars section.

You will see Bottom Left, Bottom Right, Right, Right 2.

When you click one of these bars on it will remove it from your shift scroll action. Bartender 4 simply uses the default settings here.

So to answer my own question, click all 4 of the bars to make my characters scroll between bars 1 and 2. If you want 3 bars then leave one off.

Note that Bartender 4 keeps those default UI bars from being displayed even when they are clicked on.

If you taking every disagreement as insulting, it's your personal issue.
And i'm not author of this addon.
1. When someone replies by implying a "person can't read" that is an insult.

2. No I'm not. Populating a button with an item through an automated filter is in no way inventing a bar. The bars and buttons are already there. As I understand it, you can only have 120 buttons for Items and spells. I thought that was why all of the bar addons were limited to 120 buttons.

3. Also, If your not the author why are you responding to requests?

It is, but it's extremely fragile. Rather don't use BT own keybindings, go with default Blizzard ones.

As far as inventing bars goes, I don't think the addons that show Quest items are inventing bars, I'm pretty sure they are using the same bars you are. Hence the request (one less addon).
