New to Lua

Hello Caith, I have a number of questions I'm really hoping you can answer.
Before I was made aware of your awesome UI configurations I had simply been using plug and play addons downloaded and installed manually from a number of sites.

After downloading your UI v12.2 I started to note folders such as the nBuffs, nMap, nChat etc. Opening the files and examining them seemed to be Lua script. Something I still don't have very much knowledge of.
I have been tampering and trying ever so hard to achieve what I can by simply editing some of the text documents though trial and error with lots and lots /reloadui- but to no end.

Would I be asking too much for you to explain how, or even supply the code I would require to do the fallowing with your current version?:

• Reposition Buffs to the right side of minimap (similar to older versions of your UI) I enjoy my map in the upper left corner, with the tooltips/tiptack just to the right of that. If its possible to clamp buffs to the upper right corner and not base them off the minimaps location, as they seem to be currently?

• Repositioning the text entry field for general chat frame (currently above). I do enjoy having it above the chat frame, however I would enjoy know how to reposition it. (this is not as pressing of an issue as the buffs).

• Could you explain the purpose of nCore? I have run others with out what I thought was the 'core' of the script or addon, such as nBuffs/Maps etc.

I'm a huge fan of your interface throughout all of your changes, though recently as it seems to move more and more to a PvP style layout I find myself editing it more and more to my own PvE tanking needs.

If you can help me, or even reply if you cant so I know to look else where that would mean very much to me.

Hi Caith,

Thanks so much for the awsome looking UI. I only seem to have one problem. I can't get those awsome looking raid frames to work =/ Everything else loads but when im in a raid they wont lead for some reason. Any idea what might be causing this? I assume the raid frames are setup with Pitbull 4?

Enable Buff Timers on Target

I see on this screenshot to show your focus buff timers:

http://s.wowinterface.com/preview/pvw34485.jpg

Is there any way you can enable them for your target, i find it annoying to not being able to see it.

What am I doing wrong?

I'm sorry - I've tried like 17 times to figure this out.

I deleted my interface folder, updated WTF and outright deleted WTF..

But, I cannot seem to get the old Caith UI settings to go away and adopt the new ones.

The only profiles I find are CaithUI, not CaithUI v.15...

I really did try to figure this out on my own......

Specifially KG Panels don't show up and the Pitbull config is the OLD Caith UI settings...

Thumbs down A cmpilation for new patch?

Hello.

Firstly thanks for making this awesome wide screen UI compilation. i have been using it for more than a month now and its just fabulous.

What I wanted to know was that are you planning to make a new compilation with the latest versions of the addons for patch 3.3.2? I took your compilation and just updated the addons and the UI still is somewhat functional but bugsack still throws errors in between which is kinda annoying.

Again gear job on making a great clean simple UI.

Will check back if the new one is up later

I don't believe there is any addon in the package for the world map, period. Since blizzard has changed stuff around with the sort of addition of a "Quest Helper" type of ability, just click the arrow in the top right hand corner next to the "X" (or Close) button.

The problem isn't chatter, you have to manually unlock and move your chat frame to fit with the panel. To do this you should be able to roll over the chat area, highlight "General" or whatever the tab comes up as, right click and "Unlock Window". This should allow you to freely move it to wherever you want.

If their is no tab that comes up, your chat settings are probably locked. Just hit ESC to bring up the menu, hit Interface > Game (this is a tab, top left corner) > Social > and uncheck "Lock Chat Settings".

I'm sure this has probably been answered, but i'm not too sure as the comment area, every page shows as page 1.

I'm using Caith with no issues at 1440x900 resolution, but when I open like the Character Pane ("C" keybind, default), the text is huge to the point where it makes everything unreadable.

Is there anyway to override the fonts in this area to trim it down? I've looked thru different addons and stuff that are included, I'm not sure what is doing it.

Thank you!

Hey Caith,

First of all you've created a great UI!
I especially like the kinda "boxes" around the action bars, chat and all the stuff.
I wanna know, how do you make that boxes?

Hi Caith!

First of I'd like to thank you for one of the best (If not THE best) Interface ever made. Keep them coming

Now for my problem. I just adore you work with Power Auras. Those SPriest Icons are just awesome. This made me try to create some for my mage. Been reading on http://powerauras.wikispaces.com/Making+Custom+Artwork and have watched http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIzt0WmhGyA

As in video I used Photoshop and followed every step exactly as it was described in the video.
But here comes my problem. When I open the picture in WoW it's transparent, even with 100% opacity. Would like it to be just as your Power Aura Icons.

Care to explain how you do it?

Cheers
