New animation system on orbs 016
oUF D3Orbs   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

What is this?
oUF_D3Orbs is a layout file for oUF and you need the oUF framework to run it.

News
New animation on the orbs since the m2 files aren't working anymore. I am now using rotating galaxies instead.
Want to know how it is done? Read the blog entry.

VIDEO: http://www.wegame.com/watch/Roth_UI_...axy_animation/

What does it?
- Unitframes
- Portraits
- Castbars
- Diablo Orbs (your player frame)
- Actionbar _background_ textures

How do I move units?
There is a frame position table in the config. Change x and y.

The fog is to bright can I make it "lighter"?
Yes, you can. Adjust the fog_smoother variable in the config.

Can I disable units?
Sure, this thing is a layout file and you can do anything here. Units will be "spawned". Just search for "spawn" in the lua file and comment out the units you don't want with a "--" at the beginning of the line.

Can I disable castbars?
Sure, find the CASTBAR calls and comment out the call. Do not edit the function, just comment out the function call.

I only want the orbs! Mimimi!
Use rBottomBarStyler.

Where do I get the full package?
RothUI: http://www.wowinterface.com/download...75-RothUI.html

Can I scale parts of the units?
There are some scaling variables in the config

My resolution is to small!
UI scaling will help you out there, go to the graphic settings in World of Warcraft and activate UI scaling.

Config
You can set this mod up by opening the oUF_D3Orbs.lua with Notepad or some editor of your liking. All the major settings can be made at the config area.

Because you just copied the folder without looking at the files.
It contains a AddOns folder and you need the folders that are inside of it.

I do have oUF installed. Even without it though, wouldn't this addon still be showing up in my list?

I can't get this addon to work. I have the newest version and installed it the same way as any other addon (just dropped the .zip's contents into the AddOns directory), but for some reason it won't show up in the list of addons at the character-select screen and does nothing in-game. I do have oUF installed, and that does show up in my list of addons.

My first assumption was that an oUF layout isn't supposed to be installed the same way as a normal addon, but I haven't been able to find installation instructions for this or any other oUF layout anywhere.

Thank you Sir, I feel like an ass now because it was that easy (note to self check the developers sig for info).

I love this addon, and have gotten quite a few others wanting to use it now as well. Keep up the good work!

Hello,

I am trying to remove the casting bars, I have added -- to d3o2_createCastbar(self,unit) on lines 743, 1194, 1217, 1271.

I know this has been covered before, I have spent hours reading all the comments on this forum but nothing that has been suggested has worked.

When I make the changes and reloadui, and the addon errors and stops working completely. Here is one of many errors I get,

Message: ..\AddOns\oUF_D3Orbs\oUF_D3Orbs.lua line 1244:
attempt to call global 'd3o2_createCastbar' (a nil value)
Debug:

Now I am sure I am doing something wrong.. I have tried --, and --[[ comment ]]--, "-- comment", and several variations of them with the same results.

Thanks for any help.

Hello, very great addon.
I´ve got one question:
Is there an Option to make ToT look like Target, also the same size?

Hello, excuse if I will repeat questions, 300 + pages it is hard to read
1) how to make length of a name of the target is longer? Can be to change a font size, or to make simply more symbols
2) how to make value hp and mp was full, instead of short? (20000, not 20k)
thx

Advanced only. Don't hurt yourself.
If you really want it you need to learn how to write oUF layouts. Check some layouts and try to understand what they do.

Same as stated in the FAQ, just do not comment out the player and target castbar function calls.

Find this at ~line 1270
Code:
    if unit == "focus" then
      d3o2_createCastbar(self,unit)
    end
and make it
Code:
    if unit == "focus" then
      --d3o2_createCastbar(self,unit)
    end

If you are capable of editing the [tags] in oUF layouts then yes.
Advanced only.
