InviteMe - Wintergrasp

This is a modified version of Cidrei's InviteMe mod, which I put together for my own purposes. I thought others might get some use from it as well. Since it's the same addon, it cannot be installed alongside Cidrei's.

This is still a new work in progress, so please post in the comments if you run into bugs.

Original description:
InviteMe allows other people to invite themselves to your party.

How to use: Enabled by default. Anyone can now whisper "!inviteme" to you to invite themselves to your party. Disable with "/inviteme toggle". If you want to change the command used to whisper, it is located on line five of InviteMe.lua [now line 6]

Modifications:
This mod has been tweaked for use in forming Wintergrasp raids. The following changes have been made:

Besides !inviteme, people can also whisper you "invite", "inv", or any other phrase starting with the word "invite"

If you are raid leader, all people invited to your raids are automatically promoted to assist.

Wintergrasp General chat and Local Defense are also monitored. If anyone in general says the above key phrases, they will automatically be invited to your raid. For this to occur, you must:

Be the leader or an assist of your raid. Make sure you convert your party to a raid, as I have not allowed this to work for regular parties.
Not be flying or on a taxi. Don't want people get ninja invited to your raid when you are just passing through .

12-26-08: Added option /inviteme matchanyinvite : this command will allow you to additionally monitor Wintergrasp General/Local Defense for *any* phrase which contains the words or "invite", "inv " *anywhere* in it (not just the phrases that start with it). Off by default. Example: mod will trigger an automatic invite if someone were to say "Any raid invites going out?". Please use this option with care, as it is more likely to cause you to invite someone unintentionally who is just chatting.

1.0.1 - Made messages case insensitive
1.0.2 - No longer tries to auto-promote people to assist if you are not a raid leader
1.0.3 - Will not try to auto-promote someone to assist if they are already an assist
1.0.4 - Fixed a bug when checking raid members' assist status.
1.0.5 - Now also monitors localdefense.

I remember the original Auto Invite. it would automatically invite a person based on "keyword" and you could toggle it on/off or adjust the amount of people you want to invite 5-40. Why do they destroy the good addons and make them into crap. Now its just some newbish raid assist invite thing(to invite people saved in a template or added to lists)

However, while using in trade, I have the persistent problem of low lvls auto-inviting themselves to the raid. Very annoying. Perhaps working in some sort of lvl filter (perhaps lvl 70+, or make the filter adjustable for those that just want lvl 80s). I also like the idea of being able to have a list of auto-boots. I understand the reasoning behind not inviting from /say or /yell, but when standing at the portal it could really help. Other than that, love it.

Some people abuse their assist promotion. I want to be able to auto boot these people from the raid till their begging for forgiveness and know they wont do it again. Also, I'd like to have an option to demote all assists once the raid is full.

This sounds like whispers must BEGIN with the keyword, but messages in the general chat can have they keyword anywhere ....

Can someone whisper me with "Can I please get and Invite?" and get an auto-invite the way they would if they'd said that in general chat?

Perfect, I have never seen anyone say invite when they were not looking for one.

Can't think of anything else it lacks now, besides simple options in the wow addons settings pane, will download and test latest version.

We're outnumbered 1.9:1 so every little bit helps. Now I just have to remember to log out and disable this before the raid I'm running tonight. Come to think of it, is there a command to disable the addon?

In that case, this may be a useful feature to add in at some point.

Btw, par, I added in localdefense monitoring for ya.

Those addons are useless because the authors are unwilling to use a global channel. It would be great to login and see how much longer is left from out in Storm Peaks so that I can get my dailys done when no one in the guild / friends is near the NPC. (I also hate bugging people to go check, and sharing just within guild is useless, as my guild will likely never get around to installing this)

For the people who use this mod, here's a Xmas/Hannukah/Kwanzaa/Whatever present from me: /join general /g whisper me "inv" for auto-invite to WG raid /1 whisper me "inv" for auto-invite to WG raid /2 whisper me "inv" for auto-invite to WG raid /3 whisper me "inv" for auto-invite to WG raid /4 whisper me "inv" for auto-invite to WG raid This macro will make you join the general chat channel if you're not already in it (sorry, I just can't stand the stupidity that is WoW general chat), put out a message to your guild and more than likely the general and localdefense channel. It's a quick and simple way to get people into your raid. The reason for the multiple numbers is that there's no simple way to determine what a channel's number will be if you're not always in it. If you're always in certain channels, just change the numbers. Hit it once in Dalaran before taking the port, then again in WG for maximum effect.

Uggh i knew the fact that I hadnt been able to get leader for a wg raid to test the change yet would come back to bite me.

Anyway i see the problem - getraidrosterinfo just takes an index instead of a full unit id. this should be fixed in the copy that i am uploading.

It should be pretty easy to add in monitoring for localdefense too, i'll look into that one once I've squashed the current bugs. As for the timer, there are a couple of mods out that do that already i believe. I'd like to bundle it in, but it's not on the top of my list just yet.
