This addon will remove all kinds of spam before you see it!

Features: Remove Repeated-Text spam

* Filter out any text that is spammed more than once (e.g. LF1M GNOMER PST!! x500 in yell or trade)
* This works in all chat channels and will simply display the offending message once.
* NEW: MacroStop Feature: Block advertisements for trades or guilds spread over a billion lines.

Features: Gold Spam

* Gold spam filtering (you wont see it) and automatic reporting.
* Customisable level of detail and interaction with user.
* Any whispers coming from players below the user defined level will be blocked pending verification
* The low level character must correctly answer a user-defined question to proceed
* Alternatively all low level whispers can be outright refused, the user will not see any of this occur

Features: Trade Chat / General Channels

* Remove advertisements for any or all professions
* Remove spam for BG premades, account sellers
* Remove Guild recruitment advertisements in the Trade and General Channels
* Smart LFG filtering, block LFG/LFM in trade - but not if you join LFG.

Features: Add Custom Chat Filters / Additional Options

* Add whatever the annoying word of the week is, that everyone likes to spam in trade - infinite user defined filters!
* Filter out Emotes not directed at or made by you.
* Filter out dueling system messages.

Features: 'Nag' Filters and Autoreply

* Set up automated responses to common whispers
* e.g. kan i pls has 10,000 water?
* e.g. r u tank?

With custom filtering ALL say, yell and whisper messages got filtered, without it all was fine. Maybe it was, because I cleared all other example-texts... I wanted to use the custom filtering because the gold-spam from *********** which recently started to flood the channels anoyed me and it is currently not filtered by BAS2 yet. How does custom filtering work? Is it a simple "find in text"-kind of filter or a regular expression kind of filtering? Would be nice to know, since RE-Filtering would easily help in filtering that kind of spam (as it would explain why my whispers and talk was filtered completely).

AS to display those messages in a "SPAM" chat window. But when it came to, it somehow managed to filter out the whole channel (until I disabled the AddOn and reloaded my UI).

Not sure how useful it would be, as the mod would have to open and delete each peice of mail. I guess it would still save a little time. __________________

I'm not seeing any of the hideously annoying goldsellers in trade or in /w any more. Thanks a ton for that. Nor am I getting harassed by level 10 - 40 people asking for boosts (level filtering is wonderful!) But I am still getting super aggrivating goldselling spam in my mailbox and it's coming to all three of my level 80 characters. siiigh I would LOVE to see an anti-mailspam function. There are only 4 groups of mail senders that I am really interested in; My own alts on same account, the names on my friends list, the guild members and last but not least; Auction Hall mail. Everything else I would like to have auto-deleted for it is always and constantly goldselling junk. The very few mails I ever get from blizzard support or an NPC (such as Alterac Valley: You have 100 marks, we send you this by mail) I can honestly live without. It would not hurt my feelings if those kind of mails are also filtered away. It would be worth it to just see the goldselling mails from level 1 characters with stupid names like fgiofgio or similar stuff never show up again. In short: Mail from someone on friends list: Keep Mail from someone in guild: Keep Mail from one of my own alts: Keep Mail from Auction Hall: Keep Mail from anyone else at all and/or is not above level 60: Auto-delete. or better yet, Auto-reply with "I don't know you, I'm not interested in your junk, go jump off a cliff!" - Then auto-delete. This would so rock to have.

Both of these blocks belong to one line, new lines are here inserted just for better readability.
Yes, just remove the or IsAddOnLoaded("Chatter") part from both lines and you're fine.
As far as my experience goes, this change will cause B!AS to work as it worked few versions ago – in other words, just great.
