ChocolateBar (Broker Display)   Updated less than 3 days ago!   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
ChocolateBar is a sweet display addon for broker plugins
Basically its a Titan-panel or Fubar replacement.

Any data broker addon you have will be put on a pice of chocolate and together they create a chocolate bar on the top of your screen.

Main Features

* Easy config, simply drag some chocolate and drop points will show. The idea is to easily get rid of a plugin or disable the text. See pics.
* Multiple bars - top or bottom as many as you want.
* More Chocolate - a broker plugin to show a second bar that will autohide again. Great for launchers or other plugins you don't need visible all the time
* Support for icon colors and coordinates like used by TomTom

Options for:
* Show bars on mouse over only
* Hide bars in combat
* Set a fixed width for any plugin
* Change textures, colours and a lot more...

Where to get more chocolate?

.)Updated list
.)WoWInterface
.)WowAce

Usage

Right click the panel
or type "/cb" to open the options menu.
You can also go to the great Blizz addons menu if you like
windows that cant be moved or resized...

You can get alpha versions from http://www.wowace.com/projects/chocolatebar/files/

You miss a feature or had to much chocolate, please let me know. I look forward to your feedback.

Talking Re: Re: I also switched from FuBar...

Switched from FuBar, I have tried several broker displays (all of them, I think). ChocolateBar is by far the best I have tried

@Mook: thanks for the tip about Lonny Micro Menu. PicoButtons works nicely with makerocketgonow, but .....

I really didn't care for picoButtons, the size was just too ginormous across the bar.

I've been using Lonny Micro Menu instead and loving it - basically puts a single icon on your Chocolate bar, if you right-click the icon it drops down a full list of the normal menu items.

Can find it here:

Tried Fortress but one of the things I liked best about FuBar was how it created a bar all the way across the top and stuff just attached - which ChocolateBar does beautifully! So thank you!

I'd love a built-in option for the micromenu - and the ability to increase the height of ChocolateBar a bit. In your copious spare time, of course
See if this is what your looking for - http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-a...cobuttons.aspx

Also for more LDB http://wiki.github.com/tekkub/libdat...s-using-ldb/77

The option to center a plugin is only there because if you do not have a plugin in the center it's the only way to get it there.

Once you have one plugin in the center others will stick to it on drag and drop the same way the plugin will stick to the left or right.

But I may add the additional options, also the drag and drop could work better but thats a lot of work.

Ya I agree here. Same for me. Once I understood WHAT the idea behind "LDB" was, then I made the jump. The Chocolate Bar setup was relatively quick and easy to manipulate. I think the basics are covered here for those that need any tips.

As far as trying to justify your icons to left or right, just drag them to where you want. Say you drag one to the left, I drag it to the FAR left and drop it in front of the others on that side, this seems to justify it. You can move it around on the left side after you have done that. I agree that an option justify to left or right would improve this, but for now that is what I do.

justification

I see the option to center an LDB, but how about to left or right-justify 'em?

It seems that one of your plugins does not set its tooltip properly.
I can fix the error message but the tooltip of the plugin will still not be shown.

It would be possible for some tooltips but not for all of them because some plugins like Ara Guild create their own tooltips.

Added to the latest alpha version. http://www.wowace.com/projects/chocolatebar/files/

You can find text coloring by searching for pipe-c "|c" or "\124c" in the .lua files.

The first two characters after pipe-c are the alpha level, followed by red, green and blue in hex. "|r" – Restores color to normal

Example:
"I |cffff0000like|r chocolate."
The word "like" will be colored red.

You can try this ingame using /124 for the pipe:
/run DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("I \124cffff0000like\124r chocolate")

More info: http://www.wowwiki.com/UI_Escape_Sequences

Hope that helps

That way most of the plugins will be your desired color.

But overwriting some custom text coloring of a plugin is a problem. ChocolateBar would have to scan the text of the plugin and remove any color tags on each text update. With allot plugins that update quite frequent like a fps display this would have a bad impact on the performance.
If you could add that option, that would be GREAT. And if you could tell me where in the coding I can find where other addons are colored, I could spend the time to fix them up myself :]
