Control Panel - SlashCmd view
Control Panel - LDB view
Volumizer
Control panel for the various game sound volumes.

Features:
  • Slider control and on/off toggles for Ambience, Music, Master, and SFX volumes.
  • Toggles for "Sound in Background", "Sound at Character", "Loop Music", "Error Speech", "Pet Sounds", and "Emote Sounds".
  • Five nameable presets.
  • The control panel can be accessed via the "/volumizer" or "/vol" commands, as well as a LibDataBroker launcher.
  Change Log - Volumizer
--3.2.2-1.2.0
* Removed showing of the control panel when mousing over the LDB icon - it will now be shown when using the right mouse button.
* Added support for "Sound at Character" toggling.

--3.2.0-1.1.6
* Added AddonLoader support.

-- 3.2.0-1.1.5
* Added mousewheel-awareness to the individual sliders.

-- 3.1.3-1.1.4
* The control panel will now automatically show when mousing over the LDB icon.
* Clicking the LDB icon will now mute/unmute all sound.
* The panel, when opened via the slash command, can now be dragged. Position is not saved between open/close. I basically did it for the hell of it.

-- 3.1.1-1.1.3

* Added a tooltip-style view when used in conjunction with an LDB display AddOn - The Blizzard-style view will now only show when using the slashcmds "/vol" or "/volumizer".

-- 3.1.1-1.1.2

* Added a toggle for "Pet Sounds".
* Changed the tooltip for the LDB plugin to use a localized string rather than English only.
* Changed LDB dataobject's type to "data source" from "launcher" since it does indeed display data.

-- 3.1.0-1.1.1

* Changed the title box to be more in line with the default Blizzard UI.
* Fixed a bug where naming a preset "Default" would make it disappear from the list.

-- 3.1.0-1.1.0

* Updated TOC for WoW 3.1.
* Revamped panel look-n-feel to more closely resemble the default UI.
* Added the ability to define and name five different volume presets.
* Changed LDB icon behavior to reflect whether or not the master volume was toggled.

-- 3.0.9-1.0.6

* The control panel will no longer close when the mouse pointer leaves it.
* Pressing the "ESC" key, clicking on the WorldFrame, clicking on the LDB icon, or using the SlashCmd while the panel is open will close it.
* Added tooltips for all checkboxes.

-- 3.0.9-1.0.5

* Added text field to LDB object to display the current Master volume level.
* Added current volume levels next to the slider names in the control panel - made the label font smaller to fit this in.
* Added "/vol" slash command to bring up the control panel.
* Minor bugfix and load-time optimizations.

-- 3.0.9-1.0.4

* Added check-box toggles for "Sound in Background", "Loop Music", "Error Speech", and "Emote Sounds".

-- 3.0.8-1.0.3

* Added "/volumizer" SlashCmd - opens the control panel in the center of the screen.

-- 3.0.8-1.0.2

* Removed AddonLoader support. This was causing issues with ButtonBin and NinjaPanel, and possibly other display addons. Strangely, though, it worked fine with DockingStation.

-- 3.0.8-1.0.1

* Added toggle check-boxes for each sound type.
* Removed min/max volume labels, as they were unnecessary.

D'oh. That's probably the issue, then. I've tried Volumizer under several different Broker displays, and never experienced that.

Ah OK, ty for the clarification. I guess you can move VolumeFu's slider by single percentage points, but it doesn't actually take effect other than in 10% gaps.

The mouseover is not a big deal here....except for one major problem. The mod seems to completely ignore the "no combat tooltip" option in the LDB display I'm using.

Volumizer v3.1.3-1.1.4, StatBlockCore v2.61, WoW 3.2.0 live, USEnglish client/server. For each LDB plugin/mod, StatBlockCore's options provide a number of settings. One of them is the noted "No Tooltip in Combat".

Checkmark that for Volumizer, go into combat. Mouse over the StatBlock block containing the Volumizer launcher. Sure enough, the tooltip drops down in combat. This is consistent, repeatable behavior. One oddity is that it doesn't show up when you mouse over any part of the block, only the top edge of it.

No other LDB mod displaying in StatBlockCore here for which I have disabled combat tooltips shows them mousing over during combat. Only Volumizer.

I'm with Sec on this one. I find myself constantly muting on accident. I also have Volumizer close to some other tooltip hover LDB things that it tends to interfere with if I'm not precise with my mouse. I'd really love to have the option to use it the "old" way.

Thank you for the addon, Torhal.

Personally, the mouse-over to see volume panel was driving me mad so I downloaded an older revision of the addon. Some sort of switch between functionality would be awesome. I'm afraid that sometime in the future, you may make an important change to the addon that I will lose out on due to me sticking with an older version. I've fingers crossed that this will not occur, because I find Volumizer to be the best LDB addon addressing volume options.

I simply do not see this. Example:

Code:
 ref.Volume:SetValue(value)
 print(string.format("Slider value is %.2f - %.2f", value,  ref.Volume:GetValue()))
This produces the following output when moving the slider knob:

Quote:
[23:11:49] Slider value is 0.25 - 0.20
[23:11:49] Slider value is 0.23 - 0.20
[23:11:49] Slider value is 0.18 - 0.20
[23:11:49] Slider value is 0.16 - 0.20
[23:11:49] Slider value is 0.24 - 0.20
[23:11:49] Slider value is 0.33 - 0.30
[23:11:49] Slider value is 0.34 - 0.30
[23:11:49] Slider value is 0.37 - 0.40
[23:11:49] Slider value is 0.39 - 0.40
[23:11:49] Slider value is 0.43 - 0.40
The first value is what I want to set the volume to (With 1 being 100% volume). The second value is what it is actually set to - SetValue() apparently rounds, making all attempts pointless.

Because I hate clicking I made some changes to show panel on mouse over, and hide when mouse leave both plugin and panel:
Code:
function DataObj:OnEnter()
	Volumizer:Toggle(self)
end

function DataObj:OnLeave()
	if not MouseIsOver(Volumizer) then
		Volumizer:Toggle(self)
	end
end

Volumizer:SetScript("OnLeave", DataObj.OnLeave)

I cannot duplicate this, and have no idea why it would be doing so unless another AddOn is interfering with it - namely corrupting StaticPopupDialogs, which is a globally-defined table in the default Blizzard UI.
