Reagent Helper 2: Remastered

Inspired by the original addon by Tuatara from Cosmos UI comes Reagent Helper 2: Remastered. RH2 shows within a reagent item's tooltip the Profession and/or Class it is used for.

Type /rh2 in game to configure Reagent Helper 2.

I am not the original author of Reagent Helper nor was I ever apart of the original project, CosmosUI, etc. I am merely an addon author who decided to bring it back.

Reagent Helper 2 Database (DB):
Credit Where Credit is Due:

Reagent Helper 2 comes with its own reagent database that I created using data and info from WowHead and WowWiki with all profession reagent data parsed from WowHead and all class reagent info from WowWiki. I take absolutely no credit for any of this information. I do, however, take credit for the database and its structure. It should not be used else where with out my permission.

* Enchanting
* Engineering
* First Aid
* Inscription
* Jewelcrafting
* Leatherworking
* Mining
* Tailoring

Supported Class Reagents:

* Death Knight
* Druid
* Mage
* Paladin
* Priest
* Shaman
* Warlock

The Old Addon vs The New:

"In the Beginning, there was Cosmos... In the end, there wasn't." quoted from CosmosUI. Sadly Cosmos no longer exists along with the original addon. As I grew attached to the addon, I wasn't very happy when I heard it was no longer in development. So after some time I finally decided to make Reagent Helper 2!

The original Reagent Helper was written using Sea to provide the reagent data and tooltip hooks. Reagent Helper 2 is a complete rewrite using Ace3 and LibTipHooker-1.1. The reagent data is also included inside Reagent Helper 2 instead of in a separate addon library.

  Change Log - Reagent Helper 2: Remastered
v2.0.11:
3.3 DB update.
Fixed a bug with the zhCN locale.

v2.0.9:
DB update.
Code clean up and minor changes.

v2.0.8:
3.2 DB update.

v2.0.7:
Changed DB check detection a bit.
A little tooltip optimization.

v2.0.6:
Added a new function to check to make sure the DB is present. If not a message will display requiring the user to completely reinstall RH2 (deleting the old folder and installing a new one).

v2.0.5:
The DB now contains Item IDs of all reagents as apposed to the actual name which will allow RH2 to work across all locales.
All language files and profession/class type subfolders have been removed.

v2.0.3:
3.1 DB update

v2.0.2:
Added a new option that separates the results with commas and displays them in the Reagents Tooltip without taking up to much space.
Localization clean up. Now using Curseforges localization system.

Thank you for being very unhelpful.

It must be the tooltip hooking library I'm using. I will take a look at it when I get some free time.

Could you explain the problem more thoroughly? Because I have never had this happen. And the changes between 2.0.7 to 2.0.11 are mostly DB updates.

Unfortunately, as of the date of this post, the stutter is still there, and VERY prevalant in dungeons for some reason (dropped me from 90 FPS to 5 FPS). The version I have, which works but is not "fully" up to date I'd assume is v2.0.7. This one does not have the stutter issues.

Unfortunately 2.0.11 does have the stutter. At least it's still being developed though.

Severe Slowdown
While using this addon alone without any other addons enabled, I experience a slowdown/stuttering whenever I have a gear comparison tooltip up. It doesn't matter where the tooltip appears (quest reward, stores, auction house, inventory, bank, inspect, etc).

Is this a known issue? At first I thought it's a conflict but disabling all other addons doesn't help at all.

Oops... Sorry then... messed it all up.... That's wht happens when we've got 12+ add-ons working at the same time...

My addon currently doesn't add new recipes to its database. I keep it up to date my self so there is no need for it.

This must be a different addon you are referring to.

Sometimes when I open a NPC Store new recipes are "added" to the database, right?

If so, follows a question: when I delete the old version to upgrade to a new one, how do I keep the "added" information in RR database? And how can I submit it to you for your own updates (that is, which file(s) do I have to send, and how)?

I have found the problem it has to do with installing the new version over an older version. You need to delete the old ReagentHelper2 folder before installing the new version. The next version will have a check to make sure you did this and if not will tell you to do so.

Thanks I will look into this error.

Do you happen to know if this error occurs on a specific item or just all items?

I really enjoyed the 1st reagent helper and was very happy to find that someone had decided to continue it. Sadly of late I've been getting a little error message. I tried turning off all other addons and running this one alone to see if there was a conflict but still I wasn't receiving any reagent info.
