In combat (raid)
Halstrom Caster DPS UI
This is designed to be lightweight but graphically nice to look at and functional. I use a 37inch LCD TV so the resolution here is 1280x768 (but I'm pretty sure it's resizable...)

All feedback much appreciated (esp if anything is busted)

Set-up is fully customisable through the genius of other people's mods, it's designed for a mage but will work for any caster dps char with a penchant for buttonbashery, just set it up to fit your style...

Now with LESS stuff!

Right, I've changed this a bit: the original file included stuff for general play. I've stripped back to raid-only utility. As a comp of other authors' addons (all of which are available on here) it is easy to add your own favourites. Recommended: Lightheaded, TomTom, Auctioneer etc
I also forgot to include my font files, which create the Morpheus text in the screenshots. My apologies!

*** Specially tailored to fire mages ***

* Raidframe portraits (/pitbull, Target, portrait disable), Aloft name panels (/aloft waterfall, disable) and SexyMap (right click map, choose unanimated map border) can also easily be adjusted for better performance if you're struggling. *

TO INSTALL:

Step 1: Unzip file to your desktop.
You should end up with two folders: Interface and WTF.

Step 2: Go into your World of Warcraft folder (C:Program Files/World of Warcraft), rename your WTF folder to WTF2, copy it, cut it, and paste it to your desktop. If you have a Fonts folder, do the same.

Step 3: Go back into your World of Warcraft folder, rename the Interface folder Interface2 and copy, cut and paste it to desktop
(these will allow you to revert back to old UI if you hate this one!)

Step 4: Unzip the HalstromCasterDPS-UI1.0 folder.
Open the WTF folder, then open the Account folder.
Rename the 'Rename to your Username' folder to your login name.
Next go into your renamed folder and rename the folder that says 'Rename to your server name' to your server name.
After you rename it, open it.
Inside that folder is one more folder that says 'Rename to your character name', rename it to your character's name (can copy and rename this file for any/all your chars as desired) and we're done..

Step 5: Select the new Interface, Fonts and WTF folders, and drag them into the World of Warcraft game folder.

Step 6: Am be time to play game now.

Hi there,

Yeah, really simple to fix...

bar first:

the big ugly poiple bar is the XP bar from Dominos.
You can access the Dominos menu via the minimap button (right click it) or through the addons menu (hit esc, choose Interface, then addons).
Alternatively, on your log-in screen, in the bottom left hand corner, there should be an Addons button. Hit it, and deselect Dominos XP, which will stop the bar loading altogether. I did this when i hit 80 but left it on for the upload for anyone still questing there...

The statistical info is straightforward enough, you just need to type /sldatatext and that should bring up the menu. to move stuff around your screen, use the "Unlock Elements" option in the SLDataText menu.
Similarly, the menu should allow you to choose which bits of data text you want on your screen: deselecting the bits you don't want to see will make them go away

As for Pitbull, this is also easy if a little complicated-sounding.
Type /pitbull to bring up the options menu
there are a series of drop-down menus for each of the units on the left.
Say you want to change the layout of your player's unit frame, you click on the bit that says Player.
This will open another dropdown menu with a few different options. From there, you can click thru to find various ways to change the size, texture, colour scheme etc
to actually move it to between horizontal and vertical though, you need to first select the Health Bar dropdown, and you will see a series of placement options. at the moment, the health bar will be set as "Left".
Change that to "Centre" (it might be "middle" but not sure)
Do the same with your Power Bar (called power as would mean mana for mages or rage etc for warriors blahblah) and select that to be "Centre" (or middle)
IF you want to keep the portraits, choose to put them on the left or right as you wish...

I hope this helps. One way to have fun with a load of new addons is to simply make a copy of your current config (ie, copy your WTF and Interface folders onto your desktop and rename them WTF2 and Interface2)
those copies will be saved as they are in your screenshot.

the two original WTF and interface folders remain in your Program Files: WoW folder, and when you load WoW, you can feel free to mess around with as many options as you like, knowing your preferred layout is saved safely to your desktop

if you really mess it up and want to revert, simply replace the WTF and Interface folders in your WoW folder with the two off your desktop, rename them to take the "2" off and voila, back to the original...

So, a quick recap:

All bar mods is Dominos - which has a button on the minimap (hover over it)
or try /dominos, or try Blizzard's Interface\Addons menu from the Esc options menu

Stats - type /sldatatext and config as you wish

Pitbull - /pitbull to open config, then simply choose which unit you wish to change and change it. it also has an option to then copy the layout of that unit to other frames, such as your enemy frame, to ensure consistency if you so wish

Have fun - shout me if I've been no use at all!!!

Help with a couple of changes

Hey there, firstly thanks for the upload. This is the first time I've had a go at changing my UI from the standard Blizzard UI, and I've only really used a few simple mods in the past such as Quest Helper and Recount. It looks really sweet so far but I would like some help with a couple of changes. Here is my screenshot:

I have drawn a question mark on this screenshot to 2 of the mods, there's some line at the top of the screen and various stats around my character in the middle. I've looked around to find which mods these are but I've been unable to find which they are and how to access the configs.

I would like to disable the bar at the top, delete some of the stats (such as the AP etc one) and move the rest of the stats to the top.

Also wondering if there's a way to turn the hp and mana bars horizontally in pitbull instead of being vertical.

Appreciate the upload and hope to hear from you soon.
