Skada Damage Meter   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Skada is a modular damage meter with various viewing modes. It is inspired mainly by Assessment, but also by Recount.

Skada sports segmented fights and detailed views, while being highly efficient with memory. This is accomplished by aggregating data on fight segments.

Skada is entirely modular; the modes listed below are all separate addons. Only the modes you load adds to the memory and CPU cycles used.

Features:
  • Automatic mode switching when entering combat. For example, you can have Threat mode be shown in combat. Skada can switch back after combat ends.
  • Specific fight segments can be kept indefinately.
  • Multiple windows. Each window can be configured fully.
  • Threat mode can warn on high threat.
  • Modes: Damage done, DPS, Threat, Enemy damage done, Enemy damage taken, Healing, Overhealing, Total healing, Absorbs estimated, Damage taken, Dispels, Mana regen, Debuff uptimes, Failbot, and more.
  • Reports can be done everywhere. For example, you can report a certain player's Debuff uptimes.
  • Summary information for most modes (DPS, HPS, Fails, etc) in a LDB view/minimap button.
  • LDB data feed can show personal/raid DPS or personal threat.
  • Support for SharedMedia and Class Colors.

Usage:

At first a list of all the modes above are shown. Right-click to show the available fight segments. "Total" and "Current" should be there. After a fight a new segment will appear here. By left-clicking on a segment you choose what data will be shown in the modes. Left-click on "Current" to get back to the mode list. "Current" shows data for the active fight, or the last fight if you are out of combat.

Left-click on a mode, for example "Damage", to show that mode. Left-click again to show more detailed data. Not all modes have detailed data. Right-click to return back to your previous position.

Shift-click anywhere on the window to open a menu. From here you can report data, reset data, and various other things. You can also report with /skada report.

You can configure Skada from "Configure" in the menu, or from the game's Interface->Addons window. You can create new Skada windows here and customize them. A popular feature is "Mode switching".

Data can be reset with /skada reset, from the menu, or by shift+left clicking the minimap/LDB button.

There is a forum thread for discussion on Skada. All suggestions and bug reports are very welcome. There is a page with API information here.

"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".

Just installed Skada for the first time, I had been using Recount before.

I logged in, poked around in the cogwheel menu and then right-clicked the title bar a few times and this error occurred:

Just done ICC10 and let someone die from mark and Mark of the Fallen Champion is showing up as heals done by the player who died from it ( it heals the boss )

From a DPS druid who got the mark

Would be nice to have modules for RunePower, Rage and Energy gains, like Skada already has for mana.
And please fix the deathlog being empty / recording only the last death per fight (already reported some comments before this one )

Hi, I noticed a problem last night in ICC25 on the saurfang fight.

Mark of the Fallen champion was showing up on the healing meter as a heal done by the person that died from it, oddly this put a puged mage top of the healing meter for the fight ( just over 3 million healing done by this mage )

I cant say if it also counts the mark as heals for 10 man as we only do guild runs and dont usualy get a mark let alone have someone die from it,

Curious if there's a way to set this up where as a healer I can target say, the tank, or anyone in the group, and in Threat view it'll show their Target's Threat? As a healer, unless I'm targetting the mob, I can't see the threat.

Added Item: When I have it set to swap to Threat inCombat and Return to previous Mode after Combat Ends... it goes to Threat when Combat starts, but never goes back.

I just switched from Omen / Recount combo and am loving Skada. It's great saving the Boss fights separately from totals, I love it!

*Edit: Nevermind, resolved the problem by keeping Omen for inCombat Threat monitoring and Skada to replace Recount for Damage Meters. Solves both my problems. :-D

Are there any plans to seperate the instant damage listing from the dot damage listing on spells like moonfire or immolate? right now it shows it all in one lump.

Click-through option

Is there a way to make a particular window completely click-through? My threat window is prominently displayed during combat, and clears itself afterward. My only problem is that if I right-click to move where my now invisible threat window is, I get the option to change its display module. I understand that making it non-interactive with the mouse means no tooltips, which is fine. Especially if the option is window specific.

I tried Skada out today, primarily for the absorbs module, unfortunately my absorbs are not calculating properly. After some testing it seems that swing damage is not calculated. I noticed a resolved ticket on WowAce about this, and checking the change log here, I see that it has been taken care of. However, I just grabbed the latest version today, and I'm still seeing this.

Wink Some comments for Skada

I planed to communicate with the author directly through WowAce. But it is a regret that I lost my Curse account so that I have to post a long comment here.

At first, I should say that Skada is the most beautiful addon i saw after WLK.

After using Skada for several days, I find that the FPS will decrease obviously in raid when Skada is active. Such lag cannot be noticed out of raids or in 5-man instances. I'm not sure if it's a performance issue caused by Skada.

And following are my suggestions:
1. Suggestion for global setting
Add a new option to allow user copy settings from one window to another. Currently every window is created by default settings. It's a heavy work to copy settings manually.

2. Suggestions for modules
a) Add a detail tooltip to Absorb module.
Currently the module only display the summary number without any tooltips.

b) Do not clear death log after player resurrected.
Currently Death count is displayed on label but no death log or only the recent death log is in detail. I think removing the detail health change log between two death is ok but removing all logs include the death log make the UI confused. In addition, this module has a bug that counts priest with Spirit of Redemption talented twice.

3. Suggestions for addon framework
a) Let modules manage their resource themselves.
Currently all data of modules are put in the same table and all localization files are managed by core. If a new module added use a duplicated key, the data of both modules will be corrupted. It occurred when I tried to add a new module for Skada.

b) Add new handlers to notice modules that a segment starts, suspends or stopped.
Currently module cannot know when to update UI and when to refresh data, even don't know if the combat log is monitored now. I think the 'Tick' solution is not very good.

Both. They each have their own way of calculating DPS. Skada's is very simple and you can see it if you mouse-over a player in the DPS mode.

Is there a possibility of changing the way the text is created so that the shadow color/offset can be changed(and an even bigger plus would be to add outline and shadow options in the actual config window).

Yes I found that option, but after a wipe when I go back to check it, I only see Current and the last killed boss as saved segments. Also, sometimes the segments are grayed out so I can't mark them, but that might just be some other option I poke by misstake.

Yes - there is an option to only save boss segments. Make sure you also have it set to save more than 1 segment.

Save tries

My guild is atm wiping on ICC new bosses and I been looking for a way to see more then the last try and still not have to save trash segments, is there a way to see all boss tries we done but still not get the trash?

I tried to search but I couldn't really find a way to search comments I'm afraid.
