Quse UI - 16:10 Widescreen and 4:3 Standard Resolutions   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Quse UI

*This will be the last release of QuseUI for the foreseeable future. Aion is coming out and the game has become a drag with the release of this clown circus raid zone, "Coliseum".

Thanks goes out to everyone who downloads and supports this interface, the authors of the addons included, and WoWI for hosting a great site.

--------------------------------------

To run this interface in standard resolution download the file on this page and visit Quse UI (4:3 Standard Resolution) for the standard resolution patch.

--------------------------------------
09/17 UPDATE:
- Changed damage font
- Small tweaks

*See change log for past updates*
--------------------------------------

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

- Unzip the *.rar folder to your desktop.
- Make back-up copies of your Interface and WTF folders.
- Paste the Interface and WTF folder from QuseUI into your WoW directory.
- Rename WTF files accordingly.
- To set all profiles properly type: /reflux switch QuseUI --- THIS IS CASE SENSITIVE

For 4:3 resolution instructions click HERE.

--------------------------------------
PRO-TIPS:

HOTBARS:

- If you don't like completely hidden action bars I have several Dominos profiles set that cater to different classes as well as an option to show bars at all times.

TO UPDATE DXE:
In the DXE folder you will find a "Fonts1" folder. When you download a new version of DXE into your interface folder replace the contents of the "Fonts" folder with the files found in the "Fonts1" folder.

------------

Many of the addons in this compilation have special modifications (almost exclusively anything with a .lua configuration),
if you choose to download and update them yourself be aware that certain elements will be completely different than what comes in this package.

I play the game actively and will update any addon which may break - it is not recommended that you update them manually.

--------------------------------------

THIS INTERFACE IS NOT TESTED TO WORK IN ANYTHING BUT 1680X1050 WIDESCREEN RESOLUTION (16:10 aspect ratio)

** Video settings in QuseUI are somewhat high, be sure to lower them as soon as possible if your computer has issues running warcraft at high settings. **
If for some reason you can't log in with the settings, delete the config.wtf file in the root WTF folder then set your resolution to 1650x1080 and UI scale to the lowest setting.

--------------------------------------

PREVIOUS VERSIONS:
All previous versions are archived for download but do not have certain necessary updates of current AddOns (although may work anyway).

Initial Release, v0.2 & v0.2a

v0.2b, v1.0 & v1.1

v1.2, v1.3 & v2.0

2.1.1 (2.1 also), v2.2 & v2.3

--------------------------------------

If you need any help or have any questions/requests feel free to post them here. You can also contact me on Frantasia, Ikkin, Quperella, Puperetta, or Quzex on Kilrogg-US.

----------

Special thanks go to Dawn, Tukz, Ishtara, and the addon authors - their works and time have influenced this compilation greatly.

EDIT: Let me also add that in no way is this UI terminally broken. Manually update all the addons, make that change to rBuff I posted about earlier and make the aMinimap change someone else posted about earlier. That should totally fix it.
If someone wants to make those changes with updated everything I'll be happy to update this. I don't have a current game sub to WoW so I can't sit around and test this stuff out. Mediafire is a really nice website to upload everything to if someone does decide to update this (pretty sure it will be too large for most email providers; Gmail's limit is 25mb). If anyone is interested shoot me a PM. Granted, unless everything is in the same layout and using my original mods (no grid in place of stuf) I don't have any intention of updating the files with mixed and matched mods.

Note: Let's just say someone does send me updated files and this UI gets updated, I still won't be around to troubleshoot anything - just randomly decided to check out the comments. Thanks to everyone still using this and offering support to your peers, you guys are awesome!

Fixed the buff issue. Find:
Code:
TemporaryEnchantFrame:ClearAllPoints()
TemporaryEnchantFrame:SetPoint("TOPRIGHT", UIParent, "TOPRIGHT", -20, -20)
Delete it or comment it out (put -- in front of both lines) and add:
Code:
ConsolidatedBuffs:ClearAllPoints()
ConsolidatedBuffs:SetPoint("TOPRIGHT", UIParent, "TOPRIGHT", -20, -20)
Cheers.

When you do an instance there's some kind of flag on the right corner where the default minimap is. I think this is blocking the buffs.

Don't know if this helps: If I enchant my weapon with Earthliving, the buffs are in the correct place. As soon as the buff wears off, they jump back to the wrong position.

Thanks rakiner! You helped a lot! Cleaned my minimap right up. ^_^

...Except, yeah, the buffs are still moved over.

I'll look at it tomorrow when I have more time. Thanks again.

Open up aMinimap.lua and go to line 69 and change the structure to look like this:

local frames = {
-- "MiniMapMeetingStoneBorder",
-- "MiniMapMeetingStoneFrame",
"MiniMapBattlefieldBorder",
"MiniMapVoiceChatFrame",
"MiniMapWorldMapButton",
"MinimapZoneTextButton",
-- "MinimapToggleButton",
"MiniMapMailBorder",
"MinimapBorderTop",
"MinimapNorthTag",
"MinimapZoomOut",
"MinimapZoomIn",
"MinimapBorder",
"GameTimeFrame",
}

basically they changed a few of the variable names. You will still get a LFD eyeball near where the old minimap used to be though, I'm pretty new to all this and i don't really know how to move it.

Also I would love to see this UI updated again it is the single best thing I have ever used.

Edit:

Well I was playing around a bit more and managed to clean the map up a bit, add "MiniMapInstanceDifficulty" to the frames above to hide the little flag icon. Also add:

--[[ LFG icon ]]
MiniMapLFGFrame:ClearAllPoints()
MiniMapLFGFrame:SetPoint("TOPLEFT", Minimap, "TOPLEFT", -6, 8)

anywhere in the file to move the LFG icon to the bottom right minimap.

Something seems to be blocking the buff icons in the upper right still though, if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

The only thing that I have a problem with upon updating all the addons manually is aMiniMap- the default minimap frame remains in the upper right corner, while the map itself is in the aMiniMap frame where it should be. I'm not sure how to fix this.. any assistance would be great.
