When people started requesting an LDB plugin, I created a status frame that works the exact same way (except that it cannot be anchored to the frames created by data display addons [will be referred to as dda from now on]). The idea was to implement a feature without requiring and depending on other addons (or libs), so that people who don't use them don't need to get them.
This LDB plugin adds no extra functionality except for hiding the status frame and creating a data plugin that can be managed by a dda. I wouldn't have minded adding LDB, the problem was that you need to have a dda if you want to see the output. Getting one just for one addon is [in my opinion] a waste.

Originally I intended to add it to AntiSlack as an automatic option (if you have LDB and a dda installed, use that, otherwise use the default one), but it seemed to be impossible to do. LDB itself is not an addon, so adding it to ##Optionaldeps wouldn't work (and having LDB itself doesn't mean you also have a dda). Then I thought of adding the ddas to Optionaldeps, but I don't know the name of every single one, and there's no guarantee that a new one isn't released right after I update the list. So I went with the option that seemed the best.
