QuestGuru is a Quest Log replacement that includes a Quest History, showing all quests that have been completed since installing QuestGuru. It uses a side-by-side quest log format to show you more quest titles than the built-in quest log.
Features include:
- Displaying quest starters and finishers
- Coloring of important names and places in the quest description
- Built-in announcer with customizable messages
- Abandoned quest log
- View progress of your alts, party members, and guild members on quests you have in common
- Custom Tracker which can be used independantly of QuestGuru, or in conjunction for full functionality

F A Q
====================
Q. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY FOLDERS?!
A. This has been asked way too many times, so it deserves the top spot in the FAQ. The QuestGuru folder is the main addon, which is the quest log replacement. The QuestGuru_History folders (all 10 of them) are for the History. There are so many because each level range (1-9, 10-19, etc.) is stored separately and is load-on-demand, meaning the data is not taking up any memory until you request to see it. History being a separate folder from QuestGuru also allows for the use of QuestGuru without the History. The QuestGuru_Tracker folder is the tracker, which can be used with or without QuestGuru. Basically, there are so many folders to give you the option of what parts you use, and to reduce in-game memory usage.
Q. Why can't I see the History, Abandon, etc. tab?
A. All tabs other than "Current" will ONLY be shown if there is something to display on that page. For instance, if you don't have any abandoned quests, the Abandon tab will not be visible. (The Guild and Party tabs in the screen shot were for future development and are not implimented yet)
Q. Can I import my history from QuestHistory?
A. Unfortunately, QuestHistory didn't save the information that QuestGuru would need to properly import the history.
Q. How do I turn on auto-tracking of quests?
A. Look in the options for the game itself, not QuestGuru. Under Objectives there are options to set when to track quests. QuestGuru does not duplicate these settings in its own options as it could become problematic and it is not necessary to duplicate options already available.
KNOWN ISSUES
====================
For LightHeaded users: Please make sure you are always using the latest version of LightHeaded. Especially as WoW patches are released, both QuestGuru and LightHeaded get updated, and can become incompatible if either is too out of date.
WHEN POSTING A BUG REPORT - Please include the version of QuestGuru you are using and copy/paste the error message you receive.
Pleast note: If you are currently using another quest log replacement, such as Bayi's EQL, you MUST disable it when using QuestGuru. Using multiple quest log replacements will cause errors.

===================
Version 1.2
-----------
* Added Daily tab to track daily quests
* Bug fixes
I've just noticed the last couple of days that when I do dailies, my quest log does not update and does not show the quests in the log or on the map. I have no other quest related addons except Lightheaded, Questguru and Questhelper. I disabled everything to check for a possible conflict and can find none. The quests still will not show up or update.
In addition to the problem mentioned some coments ago (Lightheaded window not being updated), there are issues with abandoning quests... I select a quest to cancel, but the one canceled is allaways the one at the end of the list.
Finnally, I dont see any Daily tab, as it should.
Hope you can fix it soon, I need this addon so much
Update: Same problem with the share feature.... the quest being shared is not the one I choose... allways the same quest, but not the selected.
Update 2: Sometimes I get this error... it may help:
Originally posted by N10do I'm not sure if this has been reported but my log will not change from Gahzrilla.
Most likely you have another quest-related addon installed like QuestsFu or something, I forget what all ones do it, but I'm assuming Gahzrilla is the bottom quest in your list? This problem will be fixed in the next version, but right now I'm unable to work on it because of a busy work a school schedule.

Of course Here's my idea:
QuestGuru will no longer replace the quest log, but enhance the existing one to add all the features in the current QuestGuru.
QuestGuru History will be a separate window, probably with a keybinding to easily show/hide it as well as a button on the quest log. A character's actual history will no longer be saved, but the quest information will be, and the list of completed quests will be retrieved from the server. If Blizzard allows us to retrieve quest information then not much at all will need to be stored.
QuestGuru Tracker will not see much change at all. Everyone seems to be fairly happy with it the way it is.
Those are my *plans*, but reality could be different since I am very busy with work and school right now. Hopefully 3.3 won't be released too soon.
Love the addon, but I'm experiencing a problem. When I highlight a quest and click Abandon, the confirmation window always asks if I want to abandon the last quest in the list. I also use Titan Quests and I'm able to abandon the correct quest using it, but I already abandoned one accidently using Guru.
Originally posted by mrobrian Was this on the Live servers or the PTR? What were you doing when you got the error? Did you just recently upgrade to the latest QuestGuru? I need more information than just the errors.... Are you using any addons that automatically track achievements?
Live servers. the errors generate only on my shaman. Yes questguru is at the latest version. Yes I use overachiever to track achievements. I haven't had any issues with the two mods until recently. Also as I said only this toon of 10 on the same server has issues.
I could go back a few versions to let you know when the errors started, but this is the only toon with an identical name to a lower level toon on another realm of the opposite faction.
Let me add I get 8 types of errors that occur at different frequencies over my play time on the shaman. I did not post all eight.

I use QuestGuru on all my characters and play quite often and don't get any errors when talking to NPCs. What errors are you getting? And are you using any other quest addons that could be conflicting with QuestGuru's ability to do it's job?
