SUF focuses on a simple configuration while maintaining the flexibility that most users will care about, preventing unnecessary bloating of the addon that sacrifices performance. While you aren't going to be able to set the health bar to be exactly 3.14 pixels outside of the unit frames, you can change options you actually care about such as bar height, ordering, frame height and so on. To speed up configuration, you can configure multiple units at the same time through the global configuration. For example, if you want to set the height of the Player, Target, Focus and Party frames to 50 then the height of Target's Target, Target's Target of Target, Focus Target to 30 you can easily do this by changing two options instead of having to do it seven times.

However, should you need a little bit of extra configuration do not despair! An advanced option is included that will unlock additional configuration giving finer control over the configuration.

Anchoring
Are you driven crazy by your party frames not aligning up exactly with your player frames, even if it's only half a pixel off? The anchoring system will let you solve all alignment issues, by allowing you to anchor a frame to another and set a simple offset from the frame it is anchored to, or by manually setting the X/Y position of the frame.

Using the screen shot as an example, if you drag the player frame the other frames will move with the player frame preserving the alignment and spacing. Each frame can still be manually positioned wherever you want, but this gives you a way of easily anchoring and moving frames around without having to use a ruler.

Zone configuration (Disabling options/units by zone type)
Units and modules can be enabled or disabled based on the type of zone you are in. For example, if you want to see party targets and party pets while you are in an arena but nowhere else then you can use the visibility options to enable it only while inside an arena. Modules can also be disabled by zone type, if you want to see party auras while in a raid instance but nowhere else you can disable the module in raid instances only.

Profiles do not have to be swapped and it is all automatic.

Supports unit frames are as follows:

Player: Player, Pet, Pet Target
General: Target, Target of Target, Target of Target of Target, Focus, Focus Target
Party: Party, Party Pets, Party Targets, Party ToT
Raid: Raid, Raid Pet, Main Tank, Main Tank Target, Main Assist, Main Assist Target, Boss, Boss Target, Boss ToT, Main Assist ToT, Main Tank ToT
Arena: Arena, Arena Target, Arena Pets, Arena ToT
Battleground: Battleground, Battleground Target, Battleground Target

Features

  • Tags: Includes a simple tagging system that can be customized in virtually any way using Lua, even if something isn't included by default odds are you can make the tags
  • Incoming Heals: Supports the Blizzard Events for incoming heal data, no external libraries needed
  • Auras: Can be set to only show auras you casted, or can cast on others. Can enlarge auras that you casted, and hide the cooldown ring on the timers of auras you didn't cast as well to make it more obvious which ones you casted and which ones you didn't
  • Aura Timers: You will need a mod such as OmniCC to show timers on buffs and debuffs
  • Aura Indicators: Display colored squares or icons for certain auras on any unit
  • Fader: Fades frames when out of combat and inactive (100% mana/no target)
  • Class Power (Eclipse, Holy Power, etc): Supports all of the class power features from Eclipse to Burning Embers.
  • Highlighting: Border highlighting of frames based on mousing over them, curable debuffs, aggro or you are targeting/focusing them
  • Range Checking: Fades frames out that are out of range of you
  • Exportable Layouts: If you have a layout, or your friend has a layout you want to try out you can export/import SUF layouts by going to /suf -> Layout Manager
  • Profiles: You can change from any profile to another one without reloading your UI, should you want to use a completely different layout based on zone you can easily switch profiles without hassle

Pretty much all the general unit frame settings are in, health bars, cast bars, power bars, portraits, indicators and so on.

Modules
Basic module support is included, should you be interested in building a module see the documentation on github for more information.

Power color tag & other

Thanks for your contribution to the WoW addon community, have used your addons for years.
I have two simple questions.

1. How do you make the Power Color Tag? Is it even possible?

2. Will it become possible to use different fonts for different bars/frames?

Bar color on percent.

Coming back to WOW after a hiatus and the first addon I installed was SUF, because it's that fantastic. I'm trying to recreate my previous setup though and having an issue...
I know before I had my Target's health bar set to change to red at 35% as an execute reminder but I can't seem to be able to recreate that. I've found "Color health bar by percent" but don't see where I can define that percent number, or the color.

Any help?

Hello, I see this on my monk everytime I login, and my energy bar is grayed out.
I've removed all addons but this one, also deleted wtf folder, this still appears. No issues on my cat druid though.

Two probably dumb things I am overlooking on my part but I need help please!

1. Any way to hide party frames while in a raid but NOT hide them while in a 5 man instance?

2. My raid frames are being organized in a weird manner. Try my best to explain...I have it set to be 4 groups on top of 4 on bottom so...

Issue is my groups are being ordered like backwards lol

Is there any way to make them work like...

Please readd the display options for Combo Points at the target bar.
Yes, it is logical to place them at the players bar, but highly impractical if you're used to have them at your target bar.

Options bugging

Hi, I have been using SuF for over a year and I am loving it.
However I have been experiencing a bug for several months, it hasn't been much of a problem until now.

I want to change the position of my targets auras, I unlock the frames to see the position of them.
As soon as I change an option for my target the auras frames disappear, changing target can sometimes fix it.
This has gotten progressivly worse and now all of my frames will bug out when this happends, the "lock frame" window will get stuck, locking the frames again will actually not lock them.
I have tried to reinstall the addon completly, this did not fix it. Any ideas how to solve it?

The group frames show up instead of the raidframes when you are inside your garrison while in a raid. So if you have enabled hide group in a raid it results in showing NO frames while in the garrison when you are in a raid.

Solo Raid Frame

Is there a way to the RAID frame when Solo? I see options to show RAID frame when in party and to hide when less then a certain number. I want to show the RAID frame at all times.

I was able to find the answer for the second question. With a custom tag, I can do it:

end
But now, I would like to add an outline just to this text. Does anyone know how?

Adjusting Frames for Out of Range People

Hello everyone,

I hope I'm asking this in the correct place. I have been working on setting up Shadowed UI and got everything positioned acceptably for now. However, when I joined a battleground members in the raid frame that were out of range to heal did not fade. How do I adjust this?

Hello!

Just came on here to say a quick thank you for developing such a fabulous addon for Unit Frames, I've tried a lot over my many years of UI building and I can genuinely say this is one of the best I've had to work with.

I was just curious is there anywhere we can post suggested features or is that solely down to you, I'd love to see a couple of (what I at least consider from a design perspective minor) additions to it.

But no all in all, it's a fantastic bit of kit and has dragged me (albeit kicking and screaming) away from Pitbull and into an addon which in my eyes is far superior. So thank you for it! (:

Timers for debuffs not working

I no longer see cooldown timers on my SuF debuffs. I'm using OmniCC and I've disabled the Blizzard timers, but nothing is showing up, even with enlarging my auras, I see no text.

Very annoying anchor BUG!

Hey Shadowed, I have encounter a very annoying Bug:
I have anchord most of my frames to other frames in SUF so that the layout works with any resolution.
Now I have created a new window for the BG frames in the "Enable Units" option.
Now the Bug: It has resettet the anchors from all of my Units and set them to anchor to the screen instad of anchord to an other unit
