DinnerBell

Plays a sound when someone puts down a feast. It supports the level-80 Fish Feast and Great Feast, as well as the holiday Bountiful Feast. This will play even when you have the normal sounds turned off. The sound is from Ogri'la dailies; you can preview it with this:

/run PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Doodad\\SimonGame_LargeBlueTree.wav")

Very helpful so you don't miss Fish Feasts in raids, or accidentally put down a second one!

Minimalist: no configuration, no localization required, and disables itself in combat just because it's not necessary there. The whole thing is only 20 lines of code.

If you've modified your version it may not be worth updating just for this. The previous version is tested and still works with patch 3.2.

I just have to decide on the right way to add a little configuration without bloating up the addon to 100x its current size. Until then, you can just change this line: Code: local BELL_SOUND = "Sound\\Doodad\\SimonGame_LargeBlueTree.wav" WoWWiki has an entry on PlaySoundFile macros with a lot of sounds listed. If you really want the Red Dwarf sound, a combination of Firefox DownloadHelper and AoA Audio Extractor will let you make an MP3 from the YouTube video. (I guess you'd need additional software to clip out just the part you want to play; I don't know what to use there.) Then you could put RedDwarf.mp3 in the Interface folder, and play it with "Interface\\RedDwarf.mp3" Last edited by ZombiePope : 08-04-2009 at 05:30 PM.

BTW the best sound for this addon would be quote from Red Dwarf : The Cat: "Fish!" Dispensing Machine: "Today's fish is trout a la crème. Enjoy your meal."
