BEAU UI

HD Screenshots

Idle

Party and Combat

This is to me the ultimate pinacle of how far ill go with minimalism artwise because there is tbh nothing there. Designed today because i finally got my pc back after weeks of death.

Some fun facts about this ui,

. Its the quickest ui ive ever built
. Its the first time ive ever used recount
. It will eventually include a nightmode feature
. It has over 56 Buttons
. It was designed for levelling but is very good for raiding
. It has lots of macros, replacing fubar icons and minimap icons. (raid panel 2.0 if any of you can remember when i used to have them)

ADDONS

blimey them buttons i do mouse click lol Or used to because im a bit dilly dally with my uis and change em about once every 2 weeks to something completely different lol! BUT anyway! off topic there.

K them buttons i use the mouse for for simple reasons, the ones at the top are macro'd buttons which toggle Omen, Recount, DBM and Atlasloot. The ones on the left near the chatlog are utility buttons (mount, hs, food) the ones on the right are shouts but as a warrior tank i never really use them unless i feel uncomfortable with the healing, and i find that it takes too much attention to keep a 3 minute shout up whilst tanking multiple mobs.

Hmmm ive not done lines between unitframe - unitframe hang on

http://www.underworldexodus.com/foru...eau-ui-2.0.jpg
thats beau ui 2.0 which i presume you've seen i made all them lines in game using kgpanels to make them more accurate and precise as from Photoshop to ingame it tends to distort size a little bit.

ALSO VERY IMPORTANT!!!: if you havnt already download an addon called align if you type /align in game it brings up a square grid all over your screen which is perfect to align artwork addons unitframes everything! i cant make a ui without it lol!

theres one other line ui (kinda) which is this one http://www.underworldexodus.com/foru...504parret2.jpg I didnt use lines to join the 2 unitframes but merely the castbar to unitframe.

And yes i agree gradients are the best things to use in any art lol, darktide taught me that maaaaaany years ago the guy who developed the lifestep skin,

A good tip i find is this. Get a frame finder macro off some forums somewhere (i just google frame finder macro wow and ittl come up) And use this in game to find the frame name of your target unitframe and then anchor and parent the line you want connecting The two unitframes together with the target frame. That way if you dont have a target the line dissapears and saves space and also looks pretty to boot! x) Which is pretty much what i do if i want to create a background for any addon or anything like that! It means you can have different levels of minimalism all the time and so can play all types of the game without having to shift UI's in and out all the time.

Lol personally ive moved on twice since the last installment of Beau UI 2.0 as it wasnt a good healing ui!

heres a link to all of my work starting from my 2nd ui all the way up to my current one! (although i think 2 are missing cus i didnt upload them as previews) lol

Nice, thanks! I see youre working on the second version keep up the good work.
Also, what about the buttons around the corners? You really using those? I mean if you do, you push them with key buttons not with mouse right? I must say its really nice by design to put some buttons around, I like the look of it, very original thinking.

I'm thinking about putting some while (or other color) lines around the screen, not sure how should I do that. I mean I know the addons and how to actually do it. But not sure what kind of graph should that be, like on your screen. Background? Border? I'm thinking about like putting a line between the playerframe and target frame. A nice dithered line (diminishing color on the two ends, not like a 100% opcaque line everywhere)... What Ideas could you give me if any?

Now the question of mine is whether you can add the texture to the addons (for instance to recount) or you just putting it behind them and making them transparent or something?

Thank you in advance and sorry for the many questions,
hmmm not sure about the font size on chats. if your trying to change them just by right clicking on the chatlog and then font size that wont work you need to type /chatter then go to chat fonts and then edit the size there.

To set recount up to notice that you need to go /recount config and then the first window that comes up in the middle you need to select, solo and outside instance as well, and that should do it.

oh and i believe sbf is bugged at the moment im waiting for an update.

I love the layout, there's just a few things I dislike(I am kinda nitpicky though)

Some borders are blurry/bigger than others.
Agro thing on Aloft looks pretty bad when it's cut off like that.
Omen and recount's pixel font looks bad.
The text displaying how much damage done, who did it etc. on recount isn't full.

Small but personal things. You've inspired me to do another UI though
