stText
What is this

stText is a little addon which display some informations like:
  • Time
  • Latency
  • Memory usage (now with a tooltip for the 35 addons which uses the most memory)
  • Location
  • Coordinates
  • Framerate
  • Durability (thanks to phrozenassid)

Customisation

In the screenshot you can see some text written in teal, it's a custom color. You can choose a custom color or set the classcolor instead.

All the settings can be changed in Settings.lua. The settings are the text size, justify and the modules enabled.

To unlock a module, just type /stt (or /sttext) (Name of the module) (i.e /stt Clock to unlock the clock, or /stt Memory to unlock the memory module)
By default they will all be crowded at the center of the screen.
If type /stt or /stt help (indeed if you type something that's not a module name) to have a list all available modules
To move them, hold the Alt key and drag them wherever you want.

Well, I'll try to adapt Fern for stText, but that won't be done before the next before the next week as I currently can't play

Possibility of adding stats?

Could you possibly add stats to this addon? As in the good old SLDT where you could see your combat ratings and such, that is all that's left for me to replace SLDT with stt

I am trying to unlock the Durability module but every time I type /stt Durability it gives me the message it's locked. Repeated entries don't change it. Not sure what to do about this one since it's sitting on top of other modules and I can't move any of them until I can move durability.
Edit:
Managed to move it now once I realized you have typo in msg printed in that it's reporting as locked for both locked and unlocked states. But I can't get it out of unlocked mode. The background panel is there all the time now (for durability only). Here's the error I'm getting when typing /stt Durability:

Message: Interface\AddOns\stText\Core.lua:19: attempt to index field 'bg' (a nil value)
Time: 01/28/10 18:01:01
Count: 6
Stack: [C]: ?

Interface\FrameXML\ChatFrame.lua:3544: in function `ChatEdit_ParseText'
Interface\FrameXML\ChatFrame.lua:3213: in function `ChatEdit_SendText'
Interface\FrameXML\ChatFrame.lua:3237: in function `ChatEdit_OnEnterPressed'
[string "*:OnEnterPressed"]:1: in function <[string "*:OnEnterPressed"]:1>

Additionally, is there an easy way of adding plugins? Like the reagent one?

I didn't look for that, but I'll try to find some free time to add an option for this (if I find how to handle it)

A good documentation is at Vranx.com here
Too true. So very easy do do, just been used to being babied by SharedMedia and the like.

I'm also curious about the prospect of game time. That'd be really handy.

I'm trying to move Location CLock and all those modules but I can't! It's ticking me off. The only one I could move was Memory.......
*Fixed it. Had to disable a few modules to be able to move them.

How do you set the clock to game time?

Did you type /stt Clock (to move the clock, it can be another name) before you tried to drag it ?

This could probably be a little confusing as to how to choose a specific one, but I'm pretty sure using the specific font file name that you get if you right click the one you want and click properties should do the trick.

Then again, this is mere speculation and hope that I'm doing something wrong as I can't get this to work. I know the font I want, I know where it is, but for some reason every time I try to use it, I get
Code:
"..\AddOns\stText\Texts.lua line 122:
   <unnamed>:SetText(): Font not set"
when I swap out ARIALN.ttf for it. it's in the windows\fonts folder, maybe I just have the wrong directory in mind? I'm hoping this is the case, but if it is, then what directory does this font need to be in, since I've searched my entire computer for ARIALN and have had no luck, to be honest.

Unfortunately this is really the only thing holding me back from switching from the broken SLDT to this. I'd really like to be able to aesthetically integrate this mod into the rest of my UI. So far I'm content to click "close" on an error window once in a while, so long as it looks right.

(Somewhat obvious) feature request: Easier to implement font choices.
Im not entirely sure what you are talking about but if you are talking about changing fonts. Make a folder called Font in the wow directory. Copy in 4 .ttf fonts that you want to use and name them ARIALN.ttf , FRIZQT__.ttf , MORPHEUS.ttf and skurri.ttf . Either changde all of them to the same of take 4 diffrent but be aware these will change font on everything in wow. Just delete the font folder to take back to original font. Btw you can take .ttf from like shared media or something like that

Whoops, I didn't modify the good one
Undo that change and instead do that.
Lines 349, 350
Code:
			local itemDuraColor = getSlotDuraColor(floor(durabilityValue * 100))
			local itemDura = format("%s%i", itemDuraColor, floor(durabilityValue * 100))
Into

Code:
			local itemDura = format("%i", floor(durabilityValue * 100))
This is untested but it should work
